Eccar dived headfirst after coming out of the window. The wind roaring past his face as he plummeted from the tower.

The height made the descent exhilarating and despite the chaos below, he couldn't help but grin wide. The rush of freefall lasted a few long seconds before he spread his arms.

With a sharp burst of power, his Dragon wings unfurled, catching the air and halting his fall in an instant.

The sudden shift sent another surge of adrenaline through his veins as he angled his body forward, his wings beating once before he shot toward the battlefield.

From above, he loot at the grim state of the battle beyond the palace walls. The Elf warriors were being pushed back, struggling against the monstrous Ogres and Daemons clad in exo-suit armor and in frenzied state.

The enemy forces moved with brutal efficiency, their armored forms shrugging off attacks as they tore through the defensive lines.

Eccar's smirk faded a little and he sighed seeing so many deaths. No more playing around now.

Summoning his power, he stretched his hand toward the battlefield below. The earth trembled beneath the enemy's feet, cracks forming as raw energy surged through the ground.

Then, with a sudden violent force, the land beneath the Ogres and Daemons army erupted.

A massive chunk of earth lifted skyward, carrying the monstrous warriors with it. Their roars of confusion filled the air as they flailed in midair, helpless against the unexpected upheaval.

And then, Eccar clenched his fist. The elevated ground shattered, sending the creatures hurtling in all directions, crashing into each other and the battlefield below.

For a brief moment, there was silence. The Elf warriors, who had been on the verge of despair stood frozen, staring in awe at the lone figure above them.

Eccar hovered there, wings spread wide, his form illuminated by the battlefield's scattered fires.

Then, a roar of triumph erupted from the Elf ranks. Their morale reignited, weapons raised once more as they cheered for their unexpected savior.

Eccar could hear the cheers rising from below. He felt the shift in the battle as the Elf warriors regained their fighting spirit.

His grin widened. He wasn't even started yet.

Hovering above the battlefield, he extended his arms, his connection to the earth deepening.

The ground beneath the Ogres and Daemons trembled violently again, then jagged stone pillars shot upward, piercing through their ranks like spears.

Their exo-suit armor held against most attacks but Eccar's power wasn't just ordinary earth Magic. His attack carried the raw force of a Dragonborn power and even their reinforced suits could only endure so much.

A few of them staggered back, their armor dented and cracked. Some were impaled outright, their bodies twitching before going still. But Eccar didn't stop there.

Gathering more power, he raised both hands high. The battlefield shook as massive boulders tore themselves from the earth, swirling around him like planets orbiting a sun.

One by one, they condensed into enormous orbs of compacted stone, each spanning ten meters in diameter. The sheer weight of them caused the air to distort slightly.

With a move of his hands, he hurled the first one.

It shot downward like a meteor then slamming into the enemy ranks with a deafening impact.

BOOM!

A shockwave rippled outward, sending Ogres and Daemons flying. The ground beneath the blast cracked and caved in, swallowing those too close to the impact.

Eccar didn't slow down. Another boulder followed to fall, then another.

One after the next, he sent his devastating projectiles crashing into the battlefield, each impact shaking the earth and crushing anything unfortunate enough to be caught in the blast radius.

Below, the Elf warriors could only watch in awe as their enemies that once looks like an unstoppable force were now struggling to even hold their ground.

Eccar chuckled to himself as he hovered in the air, surveying the chaos he had unleashed. The once-mighty enemy forces were now struggling, scattered and disoriented by his attacks.

It was almost too easy. He had barely exerted himself yet the battlefield had shifted entirely in his favor.

But then, reality sank in. He frowned, exhaling sharply. He realized that even right now had gone too far. If he kept displaying his full strength like this it would only bruise the Elven king's pride.

The Elves had their own warriors, their own Magic, and their own honor to uphold. If he single-handedly crushed the enemy it would make them seem weak in their own land.

Worse, he hadn't even asked for permission to intervene at this level.

Eccar sighed. He couldn't afford to just indulge himself in battle. As tempting as it was to keep going, he had to hold back.

"Alright, alright," he muttered to himself, rolling his shoulders. "Let them have their war."

With that, he descended slightly, shifting his focus. Instead of outright devastation he moved through the battlefield around the Palace, lending support where it was needed.

A well-placed strike here, a quick interference there. Just enough to turn the tide without completely overwhelming the fight.

And then, after ensuring he had done enough, Eccar pulled back, watching from above as the Elven warriors carried on the battle themselves.

He had shaken the enemy and given the Elves the upper hand. Now, it was their turn to fight again.

But then, something shifted. A prickling sensation ran down his spine, a gut-wrenching instinct honed through countless battles.

Danger.

His eyes snapped upward just in time to see it, a surge of black energy hurtling toward him like a comet, moving impossibly fast.

"Huh… what is that now…"

BLAAARR!

The dark energy struck him dead-on. A deafening explosion erupted in the sky, crackling with tendrils of black lightning.

The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the battlefield, momentarily halting both Elves and enemies alike.

A sphere of darkness expanded outward from the point of impact, swallowing the light around it. For a moment, Eccar's form was completely engulfed, lost within the swirling void of destruction.
