I Regressed With a 10,000x God-Tier Multiplier-Chapter 53: The Throne of Eternal Ice
The massive sapphire doors of the Throne Room did not have locks. They were sealed by the raw, oppressive weight of the Absolute Zero curse.
Lucifer halted his Nightmare Steed at the top of the grand ice staircase. Elara and Sarah stopped their mounts right behind him.
The air was so dense with cold magic that the Starfire Aura surrounding Lucifer visibly flickered, struggling to push back the encroaching frost.
[System Warning: Environmental Curse Peak Detected!]
[Location: Throne Room of Eternal Ice.]
[Status: Absolute Zero (Level 5). Severe risk of instant cellular freeze.]
"The magic here is pure," Sarah whispered. She clutched her Scepter of Cosmic Alignment, drawing heavily on its +500 Intelligence boost to keep her starlight aura stable. "It is not a spell. It is the breath of the Sovereign."
"It is a hibernation ward," Lucifer said to her.
He dismounted his Nightmare Steed and dismissed the beast. He walked up to the towering sapphire doors.
He didn’t use Void Singularity to blow them open. He placed his bare, iron-gauntlet-free hand flat against the freezing jewel surface.
The Warlord core inside his chest pushed the multiplied Starfire Aura directly into the sapphire.
A loud, groaning crack echoed through the ice. The intense heat fought the absolute cold.
"Open," Lucifer commanded.
He gathered his strength, his boots digging into the icy steps. With a loud, grinding sound, the massive sapphire doors slowly opened, sliding back into the thick glacier walls.
A blast of wind, colder than the emptiness of space, surged out of the Throne Room.
It struck the Starfire Aura like a solid blow. The silver dome of heat flickered violently, dimming to gray before Lucifer forced more Archmage-level mana into it.
Lucifer stepped through the doorway. Elara and Sarah followed closely, stepping off their mounts and walking into the sanctum.
The Throne Room of Eternal Ice was breathtaking.
It wasn’t a dark cave. It was a vast, circular hall carved from flawless, glowing blue ice.
Light from unseen sources bent through the walls, casting a strange, shimmering glow across the chamber.
At the far end of the room stood a massive throne of scattered diamond and frost.
Ding!
[System: High-Value Entity Detected.]
[Name: Isolde, The Winter Sovereign.]
[Class: Royal Dragon Shifter (Level ?? - Unknown)]
[Status: Deep Hibernation. Target is currently vulnerable to systemic shock.]
Sitting on the diamond throne was not a massive, scaly beast. It was a woman.
Isolde was in her human form.
She looked like a statue carved from pale moonlight.
Her skin was pure white, without any hint of color or warmth. Long, straight hair the color of fresh snow fell over her shoulders, spilling across the arms of the throne.
She wore a flowing gown made of countless tiny, interlocking ice crystals that shimmered like diamonds.
Protruding from her temples were two long, elegant, crystalline horns that curved backward, marking her true, draconic nature.
She was incredibly beautiful, but it was a cold, terrifying beauty. She did not breathe. Her chest did not rise or fall. Her eyes were closed.
"A Dragon Shifter," Elara murmured. The Fallen Valkyrie lowered her silver spear slightly. She stared at the sleeping woman with deep respect.
"I have heard the old legends. The Royal Dragons could take human form to interact with the lesser races without burning their cities to the ground. They are the apex of the old world."
"She is not dead," Sarah added. The Star-Touched Oracle stepped forward, her eyes wide. "Her mana core is still burning. It is just incredibly slow. One beat every hundred years. She is waiting."
"She has waited long enough," Lucifer said.
He walked down the long, smooth center aisle of the Throne Room, heading directly for the diamond throne. His heavy boots sounded sharply in the perfect silence.
As he approached the throne, the Warlord’s aura triggered a secondary defense mechanism.
The glowing blue floor beneath Lucifer’s boots suddenly flared. Intricate, massive runic circles carved into the ice ignited with blinding, violent white light.
[System Warning: Intruder Alert Triggered!]
[Defense Mechanism: Glacial Execution Wards Active.]
[Effect: Instantly targets unverified mana signatures with absolute freezing magic.]
"Lucifer!" Elara shouted, raising her shield and sprinting forward.
Lucifer didn’t stop walking. He didn’t even draw his sword.
The runic circles broke. Hundreds of huge, razor-sharp spears of enchanted ice burst from the floor, walls, and ceiling, all shooting straight toward Lucifer’s chest.
They moved with the speed of fired ballistas.
"Gravity Crush," Lucifer stated calmly.
The hundreds of enchanted ice spears slammed into the gravity well.
CRUNCH. SHATTER.
The spears didn’t pierce Lucifer. They struck the intense spatial distortion and shattered instantly into harmless white powder.
The gravity was so dense it ripped the kinetic energy out of the attacks entirely.
Lucifer walked straight through the cloud of falling ice dust, completely untouched.
He reached the base of the diamond throne. He deactivated Gravity Crush and stared up at the Sleeping Sovereign.
Up close, Isolde’s draconic presence was overwhelming. Even in deep hibernation, the passive aura of a Royal Dragon pressed against Lucifer’s Warlord core.
It was ancient, arrogant, and undeniably powerful. If he woke her up without a plan, she would simply incinerate him and go back to sleep.
He needed leverage. He needed a shock to her system so massive it bypassed her legendary resistances.
Lucifer opened his Dimensional Vault.
He reached into the dark spatial rift and pulled out the glowing blue crystal he had looted from the pulverized Frost Giants at the outer gates.
[Item: Essence of Primordial Frost]
The crystal burned with absolute cold in his iron gauntlet. It was the purest form of cryogenic magic in the world.
"Sarah," Lucifer ordered, keeping his eyes locked on Isolde’s pale face. "Prepare your Starlight Bind. The moment she opens her eyes, I need her pinned."
"She is a Royal Dragon, Lucifer," Sarah warned, her voice trembling slightly as she hurried up the steps behind him. "My magic might not hold her for more than a minute."
"A minute is all I need," Lucifer replied smoothly.
He pulled the Glacial Wyrm Hearts from his Dimensional Vault. He did not drop them on the floor.
He used a fraction of his Void Arcanist magic to lift the massive, freezing hearts into a perfect circle around the diamond throne.
The hearts pulsed faintly with raw draconic mana.
"Elara. Cover my back," Lucifer commanded.
The Fallen Valkyrie stepped up beside him, her silver spear leveled at the sleeping dragon’s chest. Her golden wings flared, ready to intercept a point-blank breath attack.
Lucifer held the Essence of Primordial Frost directly over Isolde’s mouth.
"System," Lucifer said coldly. "Apply the Apex Multiplier to the Essence of Primordial Frost and the Wyrm Hearts."
[Divine Talent: Apex Multiplier Activated!]
[Applying 10,000x multiplier to Catalyst Potency and Mana Density...]
Lucifer channeled his raw, Archmage-level mana directly into the blue crystal in his hand.
The Essence of Primordial Frost violently detonated.
It shattered into a million tiny, blindingly bright blue sparks of pure, liquid cryogenic magic.
The floating Wyrm Hearts around the throne burst at once, their combined draconic mana surging into a rushing river of concentrated blue energy.
Lucifer grabbed the liquid magic with his bare hand and shoved it directly down Isolde’s throat.
The Warlord force-fed the Sleeping Sovereign the equivalent of a freezing supernova.
The effect was instantaneous and catastrophic to her hibernation cycle.
The absolute, peaceful silence of the Throne Room was shattered by a deafening, inhuman gasp.
Isolde’s eyes snapped open.
They weren’t human eyes. They were vertical, glowing slits of burning, blinding white fire, reptilian and terrifying.
The Royal Dragon inhaled sharply, her chest arching violently off the diamond throne. The sheer volume of multiplied cryogenic magic hitting her core did not just wake her up; it overcharged her entire magical network.
The pale blue veins beneath her flawless white skin flared with blinding light.
"Now!" Lucifer roared.
Sarah slammed her Scepter of Cosmic Alignment into the ice floor.
"Starlight Bind!" the Oracle screamed.
Four massive pillars of solid starlight tore through the vaulted ice ceiling. They materialized into thick, glowing silver chains that whipped around Isolde’s wrists, ankles, and throat, pinning the Sovereign firmly to the diamond throne.
Isolde shrieked. It was a high, vibrating sound that shattered the remaining ice spears scattered around the room.
She thrashed against the celestial chains. The physical strength of a Royal Dragon in human form was incomprehensible.
The solid starlight groaned loudly under the tension. Sarah fell to her knees, blood instantly pouring from her nose and ears as the massive mana drain threatened to rip her soul apart.
"Mortal!" Isolde roared. Her voice was not human. It was the sound of a cracking glacier, arrogant and furious.
She glared at Lucifer, her white reptilian eyes burning with pure, unadulterated hatred. "You dare disturb my slumber? You dare chain a Queen?!"
Lucifer did not back away. He did not draw his sword.
He stood directly in front of the enraged dragon, completely unfazed by her aura. The Warlord’s void-swirling eyes met her burning white slits.
"I didn’t just disturb you," Lucifer stated calmly. He placed his iron gauntlet on the armrest of the diamond throne, leaning in close.
"I force-fed you. Your core is overcharged. If you try to shift into your true form right now, your own magic will tear you apart."
Isolde bared her teeth. They were perfectly straight, but razor-sharp.
"I will incinerate you and your pathetic light-weaver in a single breath," Isolde hissed, struggling violently against the silver chains.
The temperature in the room dropped so fast the air itself began to crackle and freeze.
"You will try," Lucifer agreed smoothly.
He reached to his dark leather belt. He unhooked the translucent, shimmering short blade he had looted from the Sovereign’s Casket.
The Blade of the Sovereign’s Duel hummed with ancient, authoritative magic.
Isolde saw the weapon. Her furious white eyes widened slightly in recognition.
"A Law-Weapon," Isolde breathed, her thrashing slowing for a fraction of a second. "You bring the old rules into my sanctum."
"I bring the only rules that matter," Lucifer said.
He raised the shimmering blade. He pointed the tip directly at Isolde’s chest. The Warlord aura radiating from his body expanded, filling the Throne Room with the heavy, undeniable pressure of the God-Slayer title.
"Isolde, the Winter Sovereign," Lucifer declared, his voice echoing with absolute, void-laced finality.
"I challenge you to a Sovereign’s Duel."
