I Steal the Ancestors' Sacrifices to Nourish Myself-Chapter 133 - 69: Foundation of the Upper Division, the Falling Flying Ship
"Currently, we have begun experimenting with applying the Witch Puppet Taming Skill to beasts."
...
Northwest direction of the Blazing Flame Race Territory.
Although the entire Giant Mountain Range stretches from east to west, the vast mountain body isn't perfectly straight. In the northwest direction, after veering northward, it forms a large valley area facing south.
And at the western end of that valley area is the Lingyu Tribe.
The sound of gales in the sky was like thunder, as the Ao Mountain Bo Division's Flying Ship flapped its massive wings, steering its grand vessel against the wind.
On this journey, the Flying Ship followed the trend of the Giant Mountain Range, traveled west into the Lingyu Tribe's territory, and then attempted to traverse through the mountains at the relatively low points of the Giant Mountain Range.
Unfortunately, deep in the mountains, the peaks soared high and the sky wind was like Witch Blade; the Flying Ship simply couldn't break through.
Helplessly, it could only retrace closely along the mountain range to head east again.
Before coming to the west, they headed east towards the Great Marsh but didn't see any anomalies either.
At this moment, the Flying Ship was heading southeast from the direction of the Giant Mountain Range, preparing to cross the Northern Lands once more to return to Ji Land.
They were returning to Ji Land because, after this journey, only the Yanran Division in Ji Land had impressively risen within a short century.
The Kui Ox War Drum left by Yongshan could only be sounded by those with grand blood of the Human Race.
Years ago, Yongshan expanded territories for the Human Race with great ambition; now folks in Yongyi Land were living off the beneficence of the Yongshan Division, without any tribe thinking about continuing to expand the Human Race's habitat.
This tribe resolutely resisted Xiaoyang, protecting dozens of Human Race tribes, and their actions bore semblance to Yongshan's past crusade against Xiaoyang.
The Flying Ship traversed the forest, and earlier on the ship, young people who were resting at the stern for a distant view became fewer, as the scenes had become monotonous after being out for so long.
As the Flying Ship skimmed over Zhushui, Ao Yu, bored, walked out of the cabin and gazed at the forest below.
She suddenly noticed Xiaoyang Race members were traversing the forest below, then glanced at the Giant Mountain Range and confirmed they were still within it.
She remembered there being Human Race tribes here when they arrived.
How had Xiaoyang Race appeared so soon?
The Flying Ship quickly soared across the sky, and the burned ruins of several tribes came into view.
"Come quickly, the Human Race tribes below have been annihilated."
With Ao Yu's call, the ship's deck doors opened, and one figure after another rushed out.
"Where, where? Are they still fighting?"
Although the Ao Mountain Division was in the south of Yongyi, they had not interacted with the Alien Race, and the younger generation of Ao Mountain Division, despite being talented, had not participated in large-scale clan soldier expeditions.
"It's just ruins; who knows how they were wiped out, making a fuss over nothing."
Soon, a dozen figures gathered at the stern, looking down.
In a short time, they saw many Human Race tribal ruins.
"So many tribes are gone. It can't be that they're fighting among themselves, can it?"
"Only Xiaoyang Race here possesses the capability to do this."
"Survival of the fittest. These primitive tribes living in the wilderness of Yongyi can only blame their bad luck."
Someone spoke, tone indifferent, wildmen were outside of Yongyi, and death was just death.
"Shouldn't we lend a hand?"
"Yes, but this is the Alien Race. Back when the Yongshan Division crusaded against Xiaoyang, now we encounter Xiaoyang Race slaughtering the Human Race, how can we not act?"
"Naive, this isn't 8000 years ago. We are out here on a mission."
"It's a trivial task anyways; it won't interfere with the mission."
"I believe we should intervene."
"Intervene for what? A bunch of wildmen isn't worth it!"
"Ao Kang, how can you say that!"
Ao Yu frowned.
Disputes quickly arose among the dozen figures, splitting into three factions.
Some thought they should intervene, some believed they shouldn't, while others were indifferent either way.
The arguments and clamor sped along through the sky.
Someone suddenly spoke up, "Enough. Stop arguing, the Flying Ship has already passed. Who's left for you to save?"
"Hahaha!"
The group turned to look back, and in the distant sky, they saw a green miasma spread out, as the Flying Ship's speedy course left the subterranean Human Race ruins far behind in the forest.
As the Flying Ship approached Qu River, suddenly an incredibly dazzling black light blasted upward from the ground towards the Flying Ship.
The black light was like a huge column, its surface adorned with spiraling water ripples.
Once it appeared, the Quyang Ruins Market area's Qu River was drained dry.
The sudden ambush occurred precisely as the Flying Ship was about to enter the miasma swamp overhead.
Rumble!
As the black light column was about to strike the Flying Ship, numerous profound patterns suddenly emerged outside the Flying Ship, swiftly forming an enormous Profound Turtle Shell.
The turtle shell glimmered verdantly, the Witch Rune was vast as if it supported the tremendous strike of the black light.
The grand Flying Ship halted instantly, wildly shaking within the turtle shell Dharma Form, as everyone aboard was flung off by the intense energy, slammed onto the protective turtle shell, and then fell back onto the Flying Ship.
"Die!"
From the Flying Ship, a silver-haired elder burst forth, holding a small model of the Flying Ship, chanting incantations.
The turtle shell enveloping the Flying Ship brightened with profound patterns, akin to an ascending verdant sun, falling towards the spot where the black light column had emerged below.
Rumble!
The verdant sun burst apart on the ground, terrifying waves of energy swept in all directions, eliminating the ruins of Quyang Ruins Market within, and Qu River vanished in its wake, transforming into a perfectly rounded pit.
As for the Xiaoyang members who launched the ambush, they had already disappeared into thin air.
Once more stable in mid-air, the Flying Ship, bearing the thick turtle shell, continued southward along the direction of the southern Qu River.
From above, the miasma swamp in this area was particularly dense, only Qu River resembled a pathway through the miasma along which they could proceed south.
In other directions, the miasma was so dense it was hard to make out the road ahead.
Of course, this was not a significant issue for the Flying Ship, but traversing the swamp from other directions risked wandering into Xiaoyang Race Territory.
Xiaoyang Race Territory presented a narrow band, stretching across the northern edge of Yongyi, with the major branches of Xiaoyang distributed east to west within this narrow band.
Once inside Xiaoyang's main branch territory, the Flying Ship would have a difficult time emerging.
After the first attack, Ao Zhenxian took his place at the ship's prow, his mind fully controlling the Flying Ship operation, ready to enter Ji Land once they exited the swamp.
Continuing southward along Qu River, about mid-way, an expanse of scorching fire illuminates the sky above Qu River, starkly visible amidst the green miasma.
The blazing scarlet flames were vast, while around them, strands of black light formed a mysterious array, shackling the scarlet flames at the bends of Qu River.
"Elder, this seems to be the ship from Yanran Division."
Before arriving, they had lingered in Ji Land for quite some time and had specially gone to see Yanran Division.
Ao Zhenxian's gaze locked onto the scarlet warship below, evidently trapped within a Witch Array.
...
Buzz!
At this moment, the swamp regions all around suddenly began to tremble violently, waves of black sludge erupting from the swamp, forming horrific columns of mud.
The scope of the Witch Array succeeded in encircling the Ao Mountain Bo Division's Flying Ship.
It was precisely at this time the Witch Array suddenly changed, and scarlet flames surged from the cracked depths of the swamp.
As if there were dormant volcanoes hidden beneath this swamp.
Eighteen flames gathered aloft into a blazing dragon, its size several times larger than the Flying Ship, opening its fiery jaws to bite at the Ao Mountain Flying Ship.
Crunch!
The defensive turtle shell outside the Flying Ship was pierced by the flaming fangs, as surging flames flooded into the turtle shell, engulfing the grand vessel.
The wails of agony were drowned in the fiery depths, as numerous Witch Runes burst forth on the Flying Ship, releasing brilliant light.
Rumble!
The Yanran Division members on the scarlet warship watched from afar as a burst of fiery bloom detonated mid-air, the Flying Ship shattered into countless fragments, akin to a meteor fire rain piercing heavy miasma swamp.
Then the massive wreckage, dragging the flames, crashed down with a boom.
