I, The Villainess, Will Seduce All The Heroines Instead-Chapter 24: Why Is This Woman Trying To Jump Off?!
Chapter 24 - Why Is This Woman Trying To Jump Off?!
After everything that had happened, every trace of food and humiliation had been scrubbed away, her soft curls smoothed back into place, and her uniform replaced with a fresh, perfectly pressed set.
She looked far more put together than she had mere moments ago, but she had yet to say a word. Ever since their little... encounter in the bathroom stall, she'd been utterly speechless.
"There, all nice and proper," Verena mused, giving an approving nod. She had to go outside and get fresh new uniforms from the House Magister. "A fresh start, wouldn't you say?"
"I-I'm still confused..."
"If you truly want me to bear the weight of my past sins, then make me suffer properly. But if you want justice, then don't cheapen it with desperate games. If you want self-respect, demand it. And if you want me to pay, then have the dignity to walk away and be the bigger person. Otherwise..." She leaned in, voice dipping into something firm. "You're just handing yourself over on a silver platter, and that's not punishment, darling. That's surrendering."
There was nothing more pathetic than offering yourself to the very person who once trampled on you. No dignity, no self-respect. Just a desperate plea for attention wrapped in misplaced desire.
With that sobering thought, the day dragged on, and soon, classes finally came to an exhausting end.

"Goddamn it, real Verena! You absolute raging bitch! You villainous, irredeemable, brain-dead, walking disaster of a human being! If I could punch you in the throat, I would! If I could wake up in another body and drop-kick you into the sun, I wouldn't even hesitate!"
Her fingers curled tightly around the cold metal railing. It wouldn't matter if she was about to break it.
What mattered was that she wanted to scream on this rooftop at the very moment. Just one good, ear-splitting, frustration-fueled scream into the endless sky.
Was it too much to ask for time to heal? To take a break? Maybe sip some overpriced coffee and stare wistfully out of a window like a tragic protagonist?
Instead, she got unceremoniously into this ridiculous world, saddled with a villainess's reputation, a system that enjoyed torturing her, and an ever-growing list of emotionally unstable love interests.
"It's so fucking cliche!"
"LIFE IS SO TIRING!"
Huh?
When Verena turned around, she found herself staring at a girl who was slightly shorter than her. Probably around average height.
She had deep blue eyes, the kind that made her look perpetually innocent, with pale skin and wavy blonde hair tied into a neat ponytail.
"Huh? Why did you stop?" The blonde beamed at her, looking far too cheerful for someone interrupting an existential crisis. "Go on! Rant to the skies!"
"...What?"
"I'm so tired!" The girl suddenly threw her arms up and shouted at the sky. "But it feels so good to scream like this!"
"I—what?"
"THANK YOU, MISS!" The girl turned back to Verena, positively glowing. "I didn't know I could do this to release my frustration! But I don't feel it entirely out yet, maybe I should..."
The girl, who was apparently lacking a survival instinct, climbed up onto the metal pipe with alarming enthusiasm.
"Are you insane?! Get down from there!"

The blonde just wobbled, arms out like a tightrope walker, completely ignoring the imminent danger.
"Hey, you! S-Stop!" She lunged forward, grabbing the girl's legs in a desperate attempt to keep her from toppling over.
Bad idea.
Their feet slipped.
"Ack—!"
Gravity did its thing.
With a yelp, Verena instinctively pulled the girl toward her, catching her just in time, but at the cost of her own well-being.
The impact sent a painful shock up her spine as her back slammed against the rooftop floor.
For a second, everything was blurry. Then she became aware of something heavy on her stomach.
The girl.
Now sitting on her.
Casually rubbing her head, looking mildly disoriented like she wasn't just two seconds away from turning into a rooftop pancake.
Verena groaned. "W-What the hell?! Are you suicidal or something?"
"What? No! Of course not!" The blonde blinked down at her, completely unbothered.
"Then what the hell was that?!"
