Chapter 583: Man... he skinned his father alive!
"Heh." Primo sneered after his negotiations with Dominic, gazing at the person who was with him all this time. "Your grandson is surely admirable, Madam. You must be very proud of him." frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Grandma Zhu sat on the lone armchair in one of the private lounge rooms in the venue. She was supposed to attend the event, but this man suddenly came right here. Therefore, she had to tell Butler Fu to tell Dominic she would be a little late.
"You are too young to be so despicable, young man." Her expression was grim, frowning deeply at the man sitting in the middle of the long divan. "Just what do you want from my grandson? A portion of his wealth? A difficult favor? Everything can be settled if you negotiate."
"We did negotiate, didn’t we?" Primo cocked his head to the side. "I’ll let everyone go and then he will come with me."
Her already grim expression turned darker, clasping the end of the armrest of her seat. She studied the young man before her, noticing the black glove he was wearing. From her vantage point, she couldn’t see the ugly burn scar on the side of his neck that reached up to his jaw. But she caught a glimpse of it before.
"Old Madam Zhu, to be honest with you, I’ve already lost interest in your son. Just over a year ago, I was itching to get his head." Primo languidly leaned back and stretched his leg. He rested his elbow on the backrest of the couch, face turned to the old madam. "But whenever I think about it, it’s a little waste, you know? I lost an arm in my conquest to get your son, and I have to live with this scar on me."
He turned his head to show her a bit of the scar on the side of his jaw, pointing at it to make a point. "See? I almost died because of your grandson. Well, technically, it’s because of another sneaky enemy of mine. But from what I heard, the person who did this to me is now working with your grandson. So, there’s that."
"What benefit will my family’s death give you, young man?" Grandma Zhu mostly ignored everything the man was spewing, sticking to the subject to get answers just to understand this man. "I don’t think doing so much like this is worth it."
"You think your family’s death isn’t worth the sweat?"
"You will benefit from us if we are alive," she clarified, trying to make this man realize he was making a big mistake. "I have no idea of why someone like you turned out the way you are. However, I don’t question your capability to massacre an innocent family. I’ve known people who could do that without batting an eye."
Primo moved his body until his back was propping against the armrest, facing the old madam squarely.
"Don’t kill my grandson. Let him go. If our wealth is what you’re aiming for, then it’s best if I become your target," she continued with a firm voice. "I still hold a lot of power over our family’s wealth. One signature of mine and you’d get everything the Zhu family has."
"Old Madam, aren’t you a lovely woman?" he chuckled with his lips closed. "If not for the circumstances, I would love to take you with me. After all, I think you’re a fun person with whom I can talk about anything. But sadly, someone doesn’t want you alive."
Primo paused and sighed, looking at Grandma Zhu helplessly. "Also, I don’t plan on stealing Dominic’s identity anymore. Over the past year, he had kept a very high profile as if he wanted this world to know what he looks like."
"Hmm..." he rubbed his chin mildly. "Well, he does have a look alike. Now that I think about it, how come Silas and Dominic look so much alike? Is it true that Silas is actually your other son’s kid and not my dearest friend Leon’s?"
"You know Leon?"
"Of course!" Primo clapped. "He’s a good friend of mine. Well, technically, he’s a good friend of Primo’s father. If you don’t know Primo Rossi, then he’s the person who owns the name I’m using now."
Deep lines appeared between Grandma Zhu’s brows, staring at Primo with confusion. The latter immediately noticed the confusion on her face, making him chuckle.
"Oh, Old Madam Zhu." His brows raised slightly, smirking. "Seeing such expressions is always so so satisfying. I mean, you know I am Primo Rossi, but now that you know I am not, a myriad of questions come to your mind. I can almost guess the long list of questions that popped into your head."
He shook his head mildly, chuckling. "Just a brief context, ever since your son became a fugitive, a powerful man in the underground took him in. From what I know, Leon might be a little twisted, but the man is very clever. He managed to get into the inner circle of the don and got a very respectable title. He was loyal, or so what people think."
"But what everyone didn’t know is that Leon is to watch out for. I mean, if he could do something so despicable to his own family — I’m talking about you, his flesh and blood — they forgot he could do many more in the family that took him in. That man fooled around behind his boss’s back, impregnating the man’s wife, and even making that boy the new don of their slightly respectable cartel." Primo gave out brief details of what he knew about the said crime organization.
"Did I mention he’s clever? Well, he got away from this for decades. But when Primo Rossi found out about this? Man... he skinned his father alive!" Primo burst out in laughter as if he were recalling a funny story. "Leon must have been so disheartened, right, Old Madam Zhu? He put all hopes and dreams into his son, but in the end, that same son skinned him alive just because he couldn’t accept the truth of his birth! And probably existence!"
Grandma Zhu kept her lips in a tight, thin slash. "Is that how you got his name and identity?"
"No. That is a different case." Primo shook his head. "When I heard the story, I was so moved that I wanted to step in to help! So I killed him since I believe with how messed up his life was, he didn’t want to live."
What did he say?
