I Transmigrated Into A Fantasy World To Farm And Build Houses!-Chapter 334: Strange Tribe Combination
Queen knew clearly in her heart that such days couldn’t continue; otherwise, what awaited them was only extinction.
Were there few tribes that disappeared silently every year? She really didn’t hope for such a day to happen, but couldn’t think of any way.
Luci and Thomas’s words surprised her - Snow Wolves actually living with Dwarves, letting a cub be the chief, and this year even learning from the Ox-Head tribe to start farming. This meant pouring most of the tribesmen’s strength into the fields.
Once unsuccessful, without food reserves this winter, the Hadu tribe basically couldn’t survive.
This was exactly the reason she hesitated.
Last winter, because the tribe had no surplus goods to exchange for food, Queen didn’t go to the Red Grass tribe and didn’t meet Thomas and the others.
Karin told her that everything Thomas said could be realized. He had seen with his own eyes that the Snow Wolves of the Hadu tribe could even casually take out precious things like sugar. That little chief was even more magical, knowing how to make many delicious dishes and having countless ideas in his head. He wanted to lead his tribesmen to take a risk.
The Kon tribe’s life was only slightly better than the Queen tribe’s. Karin hoped that no more tribesmen would have to die for food.
This sentence completely moved Queen’s heart; how could she not think the same?
The journey to the Hadu tribe wasn’t short. Throughout the way, her mood was extremely heavy. Until this moment, seeing the vast flat fields with her own eyes, her anxious heart almost immediately found support.
Thomas laughed loudly and said:
"Don’t worry, since we told you to come, we will definitely ensure you won’t starve. With the Ox-Head tribe here, although it’s our first time farming, there won’t be major errors. Moreover, there’s Eric; he has plenty of ideas."
Queen was extremely curious about this frequently mentioned little chief. Hearing that the farming idea was also proposed by him, and this cub was only thirty years old.
If only her son were that capable. Unfortunately, her son Galvin was a decent warrior, but not good at handling miscellaneous affairs in the tribe.
She smiled and said: "Thomas’s luck is truly good, having such a good successor early on. Unlike me, already old but still haven’t found a suitable person to be the succeeding chief."
"This time you don’t need to worry either; let’s just throw all the burdens to the Hadu tribe," Karin said with a grin.
Queen said nothing, but thought in her heart, the Queen tribe and Kon tribe combined had nearly two hundred Snow Wolves. Just the food issue alone would be enough to give that little chief named Eric a headache.
"Uncle Thomas! You guys are back!"
A Snow Wolf ran up ahead, shouting excitedly, followed by several other Snow Wolves.
"Is that Kevin? Are you in charge of patrolling today?" Luci recognized him and said with a smile.
Running close, Kevin braked with all four legs. After greeting the Snow Wolves one by one, he said to Thomas and Luci:
"You actually managed to bring these two tribes back. That’s great! A few days ago Eric was still worrying about whether it would succeed. This time he will definitely be very happy."
Everyone could see how much Eric yearned for more manpower; even someone thick-skinned like Kevin noticed it.
The newly arrived Snow Wolves curiously followed behind Kevin and the others towards the Hadu tribe.
Along the way were flat fields. Going deeper, they could vaguely see beastmen working. What surprised them was, these people seemed to be... the Rabbit tribe?
Kevin had long guessed they would be surprised. Without waiting for the Snow Wolves of the two tribes to speak up, he explained:
"This is the Rabbit tribe that just joined; they are very timid. Let’s go around. Eric told them to plant radishes over there."
Thomas turned his head and said to Karin and Queen: "These are the Rabbit tribe rescued from the Tiger tribe. There are also the Cat tribe and Mouse tribe; they must be working elsewhere."
The expressions of the two became more serious. Karin frowned and said: "The Golden Kingdom is truly excessive."
Walking forward a bit more, they first met the Tiger tribe and Snow Wolves planting wheat. Further back were the Horned Goat tribe and small beastmen planting other crops.
The complex composition made the Snow Wolves of the Kon and Queen tribes stare blankly. Even when seeing the Tiger tribe, they no longer had the will to fight.
"There really is a Tiger tribe, but why are they also farming here?"
"There are also the Rabbit tribe, the Horned Goat tribe... Look over there, it seems Dwarves and Snow Wolves are delivering food."
"Although the Chief said it, actually seeing so many beastmen farming together is still too strange..."
"This smell is so fragrant..."
These Snow Wolves couldn’t help whispering to each other. Everything before their eyes surprised them immensely. They didn’t know how the Hadu tribe managed to make other beastmen farm with them.
Queen and Karin were no exception; their reactions weren’t much better than the other Snow Wolves, staring at everything before them in astonishment.
"Didn’t you say the Tiger tribe was only staying temporarily? Why do I see them farming..." Karin’s face was blank as he turned to ask Thomas.
Thomas looked at his equally puzzled partner and said hesitantly: "Actually, I’m not very clear either. Kevin, what’s going on?"
Could it be that the tribe was too busy, so Eric let the Tiger tribe help?
But the Tiger tribe had always been arrogant, and these people were elite warriors of the Tiger tribe. How could they easily agree to help? Eric surely used something to trade!
Kevin scratched his head: "The Tiger tribe volunteered to help. Originally, Eric intended to mobilize the whole tribe to work, so the cafeteria would only have Dwarves left and couldn’t provide food for the Tiger tribe. Sunflower and the others suggested helping with work, letting Sam and the others return to the cafeteria to cook." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
So that was it. Thomas suddenly understood. In that case, his tribe still benefitted. These Tiger tribe warriors were agile and strong; look at how fast they planted. So many people just to eat the cafeteria’s food - it was truly a bargain.
Speaking of the cafeteria, his stomach also started growling. Being out for so many days, what he and Luci missed most was the cafeteria.
Before, everyone ate roasted meat just the same, so they didn’t feel anything. After getting used to the delicious food of the cafeteria, eating roasted meat that was often burnt like other Snow Wolves now, they really couldn’t get used to it.
Luci didn’t learn many dishes, and Thomas only learned the cafeteria’s way of roasting meat. Even so, the rice cooked by the two of them still made other Snow Wolves crave it, looking no different from the scene in the Hadu tribe when Eric first cooked last year.
"The smell is so fragrant. I really want to taste exactly how delicious the food is that it can make the Tiger tribe willing to farm," Karin mumbled, licking his lips.
Luci, however, had a hesitant look. She wasn’t stingy with food; it was just that they brought nearly two hundred Snow Wolves from the Kon and Queen tribes back without prior notice. The food Eric prepared definitely wouldn’t be enough to eat...
