I Was a Loner, but My Class Got Summoned to Another World…-Chapter 418: Clash in the Republic Pt.3
Chapter 418: Clash in the Republic Pt.3
Scorch roared again, his voice drowning out all other sounds on the battlefield. All eyes locked onto him as he prepared to charge the flaming boar. He was a predator who had chosen his prey, ignoring the insignificant creature of flames hiding within the beast’s burning hide.
Everyone, including Rubina atop Scorch, waited for his next move. Whether allies needed to support the colossal dinosaur or enemies needed to flee, the entire battlefield held its breath.
By now, everyone in this region knew the reputation of the great creature—its strength, the lives it had taken, and the destruction it could unleash.
The hydra, Cindra, meanwhile, didn’t wait for the confrontation to come to her. She would annihilate all who dared threaten her home. Her seven heads roared with pure wrath, each mouth spewing columns of fire in every direction across the enemy camp. Powerful wingbeats stirred currents of scorching wind that demons couldn’t withstand. Yet strangely, the fire kin only seemed to grow stronger from the heat.
But that wasn’t all Hydra could do.
She landed in the most populated part of the battlefield, tearing into both ground and flesh with ferocity.
Scorch had charged enough energy for his rampage. With full speed and power, he surged forward, his massive skull aimed squarely at the boar.
Those who could escape ran.
Those who couldn’t... were crushed into paste.

Scorch collided with the flaming beast, headbutting it with a thunderous impact just as Rubina launched into the sky. She was caught mid-air by Uriel, her phoenix companion, who shielded her from the barrage of artillery that had begun to rise into the air.
As for the boar, it was pushed back only twenty meters. Considering its massive five-meter-wide frame, that distance was negligible. It shook off the blow, barely affected.
Scorch wasn’t concerned. He had merely tested the waters.
The real battle was about to begin.
Both titans roared.
A second charge followed.
This time, the boar’s rider leapt from its back to avoid the collision, revealing himself in midair.
He appeared as a man cloaked in fire, his form barely visible beneath the writhing, flame-woven rags that clung to him.
It looked around and saw two knights in armor approaching—both appeared to manipulate the ground beneath their feet. The girl focused on defense, the boy on offense; each committed to their role.
Ifrit, Lord of Flames, smirked. He wrapped his body in rising heat, causing molten patches to form where his steps landed.
"Looks like we’ve got a hard fight ahead of us, Clo. Please stay behind me."
Kai raised his lance—one of countless he had conjured with a stomp. The weapons formed a fence behind him, a barrier he swore he wouldn’t let the creature before him cross.
The flame-born figure roared. The sound erupted in bursts of fire and sizzling heat, making its intent clear—it would hold nothing back.
It extended both hands, molten blades forming from its arms, glowing like lava. It was obviously challenging its opponent, his two swords pointed at Kai, daring him to come closer.
Kai obliged.
He charged, an amber-hued shield forming around him as he moved.
Within seconds, the two forces collided. The sound of metal clashing against molten stone echoed out, the impact creating a shockwave that rippled through the battlefield.
"Damn, tough. You think it’ll last, though?"
Kai jumped back to gain distance and stomped, causing three spiked pillars to shoot forward in an attempt to impale the flame-born being.
The dark warrior Ifrit, didn’t flinch.
Instead, parts of its body separated, allowing the spikes to pass harmlessly through. It was an expected response that the flame made creature waited for.
Chloe was already working on a countermeasure—not only conjuring shields to protect Kai but also compacting the ground beneath their feet. She didn’t want the creature to suddenly melt the terrain into magma and trap Kai in place.
Kai stopped trying to pierce the creature and instead focused on slicing it. Blades of earth began forming around him—some missed, but others struck and tore through its flaming flesh. Little by little, he was carving his way toward the core.
Chloe handled the aftermath, tossing aside severed parts with pillars of earth or encasing those that still moved.
And yet, the Ifrit looked remarkably healthy. It recovered with uncanny speed, as if drawing energy from an external source.
The battle didn’t slow or pause, not even when Scorch slammed the flaming boar dangerously close. In fact, the pig’s staggering impact brought it right beside the Ifrit, unintentionally helping it.
That’s when Chloe realized it—so long as other flames remained nearby, their boss would never run out of energy.
It was as if they shared a single source—a singularity of flame.
Her first plan, it seemed, had been the right one all along.
Now that she had reinforced the floor, the foundation, it was time to raise the walls.
Kai and the creature fought relentlessly while Chloe focused on building the battlefield itself. Slowly, she raised walls around them in a thirty-meter diameter, sealing the space.
Meanwhile, Charlie and Hailey were riding atop her massive earth turtle. The creature’s size allowed it to reposition within just a few heavy steps.
Overhead, the electric wyvern cried out, diving through the skies. It snatched demons and flame soldiers with ease, hurling them into the air or devouring them in a single loud crunch.
Her salamander, however, was struggling.
Though it had easily dispatched ordinary demons, the fire-based beasts had worked together to drain it of its element. With its flames sapped, the creature began to shrink. Before long, the once-mighty crocodile-like monster had diminished to the size of a cat and scurried back to its summoner.
"You can’t fight them, Salamadra?" Halie asked, gently patting the creature, which had dimmed its flames just enough for her to touch its fur.
The small, flaming lizard with traits of a cat shook its head and began to glance around, as if searching for a way back into the fight. It knew its master needed every bit of help she could get.
"Let me help then. Does your creature feed on flames?" Charlie asked, already positioning his staff.
"Yes. I believe the problem came from being too close to those fire creatures. But maybe we can work with Rubina and her phoenix... If you can somehow feed my spirit, it might be able to recharge its flames."
They both looked up.
High above, Uriel flew overhead—her white flames radiant and pure, powered by light. In contrast, Rubina’s own fire was darker, laced with shadow and infernal energy.
"I think you’re right," Charlie said. "And honestly, I doubt I’m of much use if I just throw my own flames into the mix. Not here."
