I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess-Chapter 60: Purified Quench? (edited)
Lillian’s face twitched as the morning light shone on her face. Her ears twitched at the calming sound of a crackling fire. (2)
She gave a small groan. She then raised her hand, clutching and yanking the blazer over her face, blocking out the interferences to her sleep. (2)
She shuffled around, slowly patting the ground under her and slightly away from her, slowly noticing something missing. (3)
Lillian hummed lowly.
"Huh..."
Her eyes then slowly opened, adjusting to the light before groggily sitting up.
She then crossed her arms over, clutching the edges of the blazer that was over her shoulders. (3)
Lillian let out a tired yawn before a familiar voice called out her name. (2)
"Oh... you’re awake. Good morning, Lillian."
Lillian twisted her head to her right, staring at Marionette, leaning back against the tree with a fire situated before her, holding a Catacomb Dweller limb over it.
Lillian stared briefly at Marionette’s creased black cardigan before raising her eyes to her.
She then smiled brightly, crawling over to her before leaning against the tree next to her. (8)
"Ah... good morning to you too!"
Marionette nodded, staring at her with tender eyes before handing her the roasted limb.
"Did you sleep well?"
Lillian thanked Marionette for the roasted limb before answering with a strong and energetic nod. (8)
"Uh huh!"
"I’m glad I was a comfortable enough mattress then."
Lillian’s body stiffened, her head creakingly turning to face Marionette, who stared back with a slight smirk. (8)
"Well? Am I wrong?" Marionette asked.
Lillian then muttered, "Sh-shush...!" before biting into the limb. Slight repulsion spread across her face before shaking her head—too lazy to bring out the salt. (2)
She then glanced back at Marionette to see her roasting a separate one.
Lillian then asked.
"Have you been awake for long?"
Marionette stared back before shaking her head.
"I had only just awoken a few minutes ago. You held onto me quite tightly."
Marionette’s casual mention of how tightly Lillian held onto her caused Lillian to blush a bit. (2)
However, deciding to go on the offensive this time, she smirked. (2)
She then said in a playful tone, bringing her knees to her chest.
"What~? Didn’t like me being close~? Or do you perhaps only put up with my cuddling because it got cold?"
Marionette watched as Lillian snickered at her, catching the teasing glint that passed through her eyes. (2)
As Lillian was staring at her, the familiar voice of her system appeared inside her mind.
[New Quest Received]
’Huh? A new quest? Right now?’
Lillian summoned her system and entered the quest section, scanning over her newly acquired quest.

[Quest Title: Entertain Us]
[Quest Description: After having been trapped inside the Trial and surviving until the next day, the Lady Of Fate felt it was right to give you a separate reward if you complete your very first Trial. An extra reward would be provided if you manage to plant a kiss on the Stoic Villainess’s lips.]
’Completing my Trial? That’ll be easy if Marionette’s here!’ Lillian thought, confident and also excited at what her reward would be before finishing reading it.
Her eyes widened. (2)
’Eh...? Kiss the Stoic Villainess?’
Was this so-called Lady Of Fate serious about this? Why did she even want to see them kiss anyway?!
In Lillian’s mind, her impression of the Lady Of Fate soured.
’That’s such an impossible task, especially when I’ve only known her for like two d—’
Before Lillian could finish her frustrating thought at the possibility of not getting another reward, she felt a cold hand gently place itself on her chin, tilting it up.
Lillian glanced down at Marionette’s wrist before staring up, staring at her with a perplexed expression.
Marionette stared down silently before speaking, "Do I like it if you’re close to me? Who knows..."
She then leaned down, pausing several inches before Lillian’s face before adding:
"But do you like it when I’m close to you?"
Lillian pulled her chin out of Marionette’s hand, twisting her head to the side and hiding the blush on her cheeks. (2)
She then muttered in a flustered and frustrated tone.
"I’m supposed to be doing the teasing here..." Lillian pouted. (2)
Marionette tilted her head to the side, briefly glancing down at her hand.
"But that was a genuine question."
"Which I am not going to answer!" Lillian shot back, munching on the roasted limb before it went cold.
Marionette raised an eye at this before doing the same.
After finishing their breakfast, Lillian couldn’t help but feel a sense of dryness in her mouth and throat.
She hadn’t had a drop of water for hours.
"Man... I wish we had some water right now..." she muttered.
Marionette’s ears twitched as this. She then faced Lillian with a raised eyebrow,
"Can’t you just make it?"
"Ah... I could..."
Just before Lillian could do it, Marionette had suddenly waved her hand in the air dramatically, summoning a polished metal canteen into her hand—assumably one that held water.
Like most, it had a smooth and reflective surface, but Lillian felt something ominous about it, like that it wasn’t an ordinary canteen.
Marionette then passed it to Lillian.
"Here. Better to not use your mana."
"Oh...! I see..."
Lillian thanked her with a smile before asking:
"How much can I have?" (2)
Marionette responded in a nonchalant tone.
"It will refill itself. Drink what is needed."
"Eh? It will refill itself?"
Lillian stared down at the metal canteen—curiosity getting the better of her.
[Item Name: Purified Quench]
[Item Type: Tool]
[Item Rank: 4]
[Item Description: A warrior in need of a way to quench his thirst stumbled upon a large body of water guarded by a particularly territorial water spirit that made it undrinkable. Angered, the warrior fought it for 3 days and 4 nights, eventually coming out on top, purifying the water and sealing the now deceased spirit inside this metal canteen so its near endlessly flowing body would continue to be used to quench his thirst.]
Lillian widened her eyes as she read over its description. It was a tier-four item like her lantern. It also spoke about a warrior just like her lantern, as well as spirits. Could this be the same person? (2)
Marionette stared at her, watching as Lillian’s eyes slowly drifted left to right.
"I would appreciate it if you didn’t analyse my Item, Lillian. It’s quite an invasion of property."
Lillian stiffened, sighing at the fact she couldn’t get to the enchantments, but nodded nonetheless, tearing her eyes away from it. (5)
Popping off the cap and watching it dangle by a small narrow chain, she greedily drank from it, gulping down the cool and delicious water within.
She then gave a satisfied exhale, "Puah~!" before placing back on the cap and giving it back. (8)
"Thanks a lot. I needed that!"
Marionette nodded at her, retrieving the canteen before staring down at it. She then moved her fingers around the cap, popping it off with her thumb before drinking from it as well.
Lillian stared at this, her eyes widening slightly, ’This is... an indirect kiss, right?’ she then cursed the system, ’Just take this! Why do I actually have to kiss her? An indirect one is almost the same thing!’ (2)
