I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History-Chapter 381

We just kept on climbing. We had almost reached the top.

I wondered if Victor, who wasn’t exhausted despite such a tough climb, was really a human. I felt like I had discovered a new creature called “Victor”.

“Can you handle this?”

I asked Leon, who was following behind me. He flashed me a slightly more relaxed smile.

“I’ve been in more danger than this.”

…Of course. Assassins are always faced with death.

I have nothing to say. Maybe I was the normal one here. Two out of three of us must be from another dimension.

I was almost smug, thinking that I might be special, but I was not.

I made it to the top without any difficulty or danger. I had thought I was going to have to take a more difficult path, but it was just going up a cliff.

…I guess it would have been easier to just let the obstacles distract me.

It was mentally draining to just mindlessly climb up a wall with almost no summit in sight.

“No one died, it seems.”

That was the first thing Victor said to me after we reached the summit.

Did he really expect any of us to die?

I looked at Victor, exhausted, and then at Leon, relieved to see that he, too, appeared a little anguished and tired.

Victor’s forehead was sweaty, but he didn’t look like he was having a hard time at all. This man must have worked harder than I could ever imagine. I wish I could be like him someday physically.

“Where are the flowers?”

Victor’s brow twitched in response to Leon’s words, and he stared at him blankly.

“You think Maddie is just a flower blooming on the cliff?”

“…Is there anything more to it from this point?”

“Do you see any flowers here?”

Leon and I look around.

All we could see were weeds. Nothing but a bleak landscape. Perhaps there was no Maddie…

I turned my gaze back to Victor. He walked in the opposite direction he had climbed and stopped at the edge of the cliff.

I wondered if he was thinking about being blown away by me. How could you turn your back on me like this?

“I found it.”

Leon and I are looking down. I noticed a single, dignified flower about halfway up the cliff.

An orange flower that could be anywhere. But this flower was incredibly precious.

“You can’t normally pick something like that.”

“That’s why they say the Spotted Disease is incurable.”

Victor replied to Leon’s words with a grim expression on his face.

The flower was only found in the Ravaal Kingdom. There was no magic here, so even if it bloomed in a place like that, no one would be able to go and get it the normal way. Besides, there were thorny plants around the flower, protecting it.

It was like a knight protecting a princess.

“It is said that those plants are poisonous.”

“Did they confirm it?”

I responded to Victor’s mutterings. He answered while still staring at Maddie.

“I’ve only seen that plant here. There were others who were able to come here, but none of them were able to bring that plant or Maddie back home.”

“If those spines are poisonous and they protect Maddie, then Maddie must be the leader of the plant world.”

“That’s why it’s powerful enough to cure Spotted Disease.”

“How do they normally harvest it?”

Leon interrupted our conversation. Victor thought for a moment and chuckled.

“I should have brought Kii with us.”
