I'll Raise My Future Omega Son-in-law-Chapter 164: THE ORIGINAL MANUSCRIPT
WONYOUNG watched the video that Mr. Seo sent with Yun Dujun.
The video was from the private investigator’s black box.
It seemed like Mr. Seo was doing a stakeout in front of An Baekya’s uncle’s house at night.
Anyway, a few moments later, a tall and handsome young man came out of a simple and small house in a normal-looking residential area.
Wonyoung was quite surprised.
Baekya’s uncle looks young?
Anyway, he didn’t get to look at An Baekya’s uncle’s face closer because it suddenly happened: an overspeeding black van appeared in front of the young man.
Several men in black suits came out.
The view was blocked by the black van, but when the vehicle disappeared, and so did An Baekya’s uncle.
Clearly, the poor young man was kidnapped.
"Have you sent people to track down An Baekya’s uncle?" Yun Dujun asked Han Myung when the video ended. "What’s An Baekya’s uncle called again?"
"His name is Lim Bada, sir," Han Myung answered politely to Yun Dujun’s question. "He is Young Master Baekya’s maternal uncle. According to Mr. Seo’s investigation, Lim Bada-ssi is Young Master Baekya’s deceased mother’s younger half-brother. Hence, the huge age gap between the two siblings."
"Yeah, I can see that he’s young," Wonyoung said while nodding, and then he asked Han Myung: "How old is Lim Bada? And what does he do?"
"Lim Bada-ssi is twenty years old, sir. He’s a college freshman at Chungha University, a student in the Department of Film Making."
Ah, right.
Wonyoung remembered that An Baekya once mentioned that his uncle was a film director.
A struggling film director, to be precise.
He’s old enough to adopt Baekya, but 20 years old is still too young to be a parent figure to someone. Lim Bada is at the age where he should be focusing on his studies and starting to work on his career path.
Now, Wonyoung wasn’t sure if it was the right choice to look for Lim Bada with the intention of making him take care of An Baekya.
I feel bad— Lim Bada and An Baekya are just both kids.
"Have you started tracking down the kidnappers?" Yun Dujun asked. "We have to find Lim Bada ASAP."
"Yes, sir," Han Myung answered. "Mr. Seo followed the van before they lost him, so we started searching for the van in the area where Mr. Seo had lost them. We’re using all the resources that we have to find Lim Bada-ssi."
"Good," Yun Dujun said, nodding. "Keep us posted."
"Yes, sir."
Han Myung then bowed before leaving the room quietly.
"Hyung, let’s go home," Wonyoung said, tugging the sleeve of Yun Dujun’s jacket. "We have to let An Baekya know that his uncle was kidnapped."
Yun Dujun nodded. "Yes, let’s do that."
***
WONYOUNG decided to visit Bae Gayoung first before going home.
While he was sitting in the backseat with Yun Dujun, both of them were quietly monitoring the statement that Naville Corporation had just released.
To be honest, the company didn’t have to do that.
But I suppose my in-laws wanted to support us.
Anyway, Naville Corporation’s statement was short and sweet.
The company simply said that everything Yun Dujun said was true, and that they wouldn’t let slanderous comments slide.
Plus, the public letter was signed by Chairman Yun Hyuk and Vice Chairman Yun Inyeop.
<Our family is doing fine, thank you very much for your interest.>
That part made Wonyoung smile.
"Hyung, your father and older brother seemed to have accepted you fully already," Wonyoung said happily, and then he turned to Yun Dujun. "Have you forgiven them for mistreating you when you were young? You don’t have to forgive them just because they’re nice to you now, you know?"
"I never resented them for treating me the way they did, so there’s nothing to forgive," Yun Dujun said. "I’m just a little embarrassed to admit that I’ve been craving their acknowledgement all this time. And that desperation hurt you before."
By ’before,’ Yun Dujun probably meant the original timeline.
But the Alpha couldn’t say that because Han Myung was driving the car for them.
"I’m happy that I’m finally accepted by my family, but I just think it’s a shame that I focused too much energy on it in the past," Yun Dujun said, looking at Wonyoung with an apologetic smile on his face. "I should have focused on our family from the start."
"Well, there’s no use crying over spilt milk now."
"Right. I’ll make it up to you and our kids. We don’t have to hide anymore, so I can show the entire world how lucky I am that I have a family like ours."
Aigoo.
"We’re on the verge of losing our career, Hyung. It’s too early to celebrate. What if we get blacklisted in the industry? Then we can’t work anymore. And then we’ll be poor. How can we raise our kids, then?"
"Do you think I’ll go bankrupt if I stop acting?"
"Won’t you?"
Yun Dujun let out a sigh. "Should I show you my bank account, Wonyoung-ah? Even if I don’t work a day in my life anymore, I can still give you, our kids, and our future grandchildren a very comfortable life."
"Well, that’s good to know. But let me know if you’re struggling. I’m good at working part-time jobs."
Of course, Wonyoung only said that to tease Yun Dujun.
So, he didn’t expect the Alpha to get serious.
"Wonyoung-ah, even if I lose all my wealth now, there’s no way I’m going to let you work a part-time job," Yun Dujun said, gently taking his phone away from him to hold his hand. "If we suddenly become broke, I’m the one who’s going to take all the part-time jobs I need to support you and the kids. Yes, I’ve only done acting as a job all my life. But I’m confident that I can do anything and everything for you."
Aww.
Wonyoung didn’t want to admit this, but Yun Dujun’s words made his heart skip a beat.
As expected, even though he had already retrieved the memories of his past life, he still couldn’t resent the Alpha.
Maybe because I know he already suffered for neglecting me in the original timeline.
And, in this timeline, Yun Dujun was somehow a decent husband to Wonyoung from the start.
So, the Alpha didn’t really give him a reason to hate him.
Hyung has already apologized for all the stupid things he did, and I can see that he’s determined not to repeat the same mistakes ever again.
Moreover...
I can feel how much Hyung loves me.
"Okay, I get it," Wonyoung said, and then he quickly changed the topic because he didn’t want to get swayed. "Hyung, give my phone back."
"Only if you promise you won’t monitor the articles about us."
"No, I want to read the comments. I want to gauge how the public is reacting to the news of our marriage."
"Then no."
"Hyung, I already know I’m being shredded to pieces by some of your rabid fans online. It’s fine. I’ll live."
"I don’t want you to get hurt by comments like that, Wonyoung-ah."
"Hyung, you’re being overprotective."
"Isn’t it only natural to be overprotective of the person you love?"
Aigoo.
"Hyung, you’re being too controlling."
Just like that, guilt crossed Yun Dujun’s eyes.
Okay, just a little push.
"I won’t read bad comments about me too much," Wonyoung said, compromising. "I just want to make sure that no one is bashing our kids. That’s something I can’t let slide."
Yun Dujun looked at Wonyoung intently, and then he sighed. "Alright, I get it. But if you come across a bad comment that’s below the belt, tell me— we’re going to sue them, with no leniency."

"SIR, Bae Gayoung-ssi’s boyfriend dropped by to visit again. But we didn’t let him in."
Wonyoung actually felt bad that they had to turn Sung Mingi away every time he came to visit Bae Gayoung, but he wanted to prioritize his cousin’s safety first.
I can’t trust anyone yet.
"Good job," Wonyoung said to the person in charge of Bae Gayoung’s safety. "Just continue not letting people who are not on the list in."
"Yes, sir."
After hearing the report, Wonyoung entered the VIP Room with Yun Dujun.
Yes, Bae Gayoung was finally out of the ICU.
"Hello, Wonyoung Oppa, Dujun Ahjussi."
Pfft.
Wonyoung almost laughed when Mija, the young woman who was a shaman to a chaebol family, called Yun Dujun an ’ahjussi.’
And, yes, they allowed the shaman to stick close to Bae Gayoung.
Dujun Hyung said we can trust Mija anyway.
"Hello, Mija-ya," Wonyoung greeted the shaman while Yun Dujun just scoffed. "Thank you for keeping our Gayoung company."
"You’re welcome, Oppa. Actually, you’re just in time," Mija said, looking at Bae Gayoung. "She’s about to wake up."
Huh?
As if on cue, Bae Gayoung slowly opened her eyes.
Wonyoung gasped, pleasantly surprised to see his baby cousin finally awake. "Gayoung-ah!"
"Oppa..."
Wonyoung was glad that Bae Gayoung could already speak, but...
"Don’t push it, Gayoung-ah. Let me call the doctors first—"
"Lee Heeju."
Wonyoung stopped talking when Bae Gayoung mentioned the bastard’s name.
"Lee Heeju stole the original manuscript."
"What?" Wonyoung asked, shocked. "Lee Heeju has the original manuscript?"
"And he stole my phone," Bae Gayoung said, her voice getting rougher and rougher the more she talked. "We met before I got into an accident..."
What the fuck?
Wonyoung already knew that Lee Heeju was behind everything.
But for Bae Gayoung to personally confirm it...
I’m really going to kill that bastard!
"If Lee Heeju has the original manuscript, then he might have already read it," Yun Dujun said worriedly. "Wonyoung-ah, what if Lee Heeju has the memories of the original timeline, too?"
Oh.
***
WONYOUNG didn’t want to leave Bae Gayoung when his cousin had just woken up from her coma, but Bae Gayoung urged him to take care of other stuff first.
Hence, he left the hospital with a heavy heart.
"I already asked Aunt Rosa to take care of Bae Gayoung," Yun Dujun assured Wonyoung while they were walking towards his brother-in-law’s house. The kids were there, after all. "And I sent people to arrange everything that Bae Gayoung would need to recover. So, don’t worry too much about your cousin."
"Thank you, Hyung," Wonyoung said. "Can we sue Lee Heeju for what he did to Bae Gayoung?"
"We need to gather evidence first that Lee Heeju ordered the driver to hit Bae Gayoung. And we’re already working on it. I’m sorry, but it’s taking long because Lee Heeju has the means to erase his traces. He’s a chaebol, after all."
"Maybe we should ask for the help of the chaebols that we became acquainted with recently."
Yun Dujun just nodded, and that surprised Wonyoung.
"Hyung, I thought you’d hate the idea since you don’t like asking other people for help."
"I can throw away my pride if it means protecting you and our family."
Aww.
Wonyoung’s heart melted immediately.
Fortunately, a distraction came so he wouldn’t get completely swayed by Yun Dujun’s charms.
"Papa! Daddy!"
Yun Yuhyuhn, who was still in his school uniform, greeted them cheerfully.
An Baekya was quietly walking behind Yun Yuhyun.
"Yuhyun-ah, come here," Yun Dujun said, picking up Yun Yuhyun effortlessly. "Let’s prepare snacks for your papa."
Yun Yuhyun looked confused when Yun Dujun started walking towards the dining hall.
Wonyoung just smiled apologetically to his confused son before facing An Baekya. "We need to talk, Baekya."
***
"WE ALREADY found your uncle, but he got kidnapped."
Wonyoung shared the bad news with An Baekya as soon as they got inside the child’s room to have that conversation.
As expected, An Baekya looked shocked.
"If my uncle was kidnapped, then it could only be Lee Heeju behind it."
It was Wonyoung’s turn to be surprised.
"But why would you think Lee Heeju kidnapped your uncle, Baekya?"
"Because Lee Heeju is looking for the original manuscript, and my uncle has it," An Baekya said, his face as pale as a sheet now. "Appa, the original manuscript can lead us to where the new shaman is— the shaman who sent us back in time."
