Chapter 936: Varahan Challenge (Part 2)

"To my left is the existence who hails from an extraordinary line of powerhouses." Kenka Echo roared jubilantly as he riled up the crowd from the Wean Clan's side, "Grandson to Sumatra's strongest predator and son to Sumatra's strongest spear, we have the current generation Leader of the Wean Clan,"

"KalTara!"

In response to his shouts, the figure of KalTara slowly walked forward from the edge of the Empyrean Colosseum. His footsteps were soft, but the closer he approached the centre of the battleground, the stronger his presence grew, without limits.

Gulp!

The Free Humans felt their throats had become parched as their limbs trembled subconsciously, fearing the individual who could devour them all and then wield their power against their brethren.

Tertiary Nature—Astral Chart!

When Brangara stored Internal Inertial Gravity in Astral Chart, these Natures screamed for the Empyrean Tusks to flee. Though it served to alert the Empyrean Tusks and protect them from being consumed by Brangara, it also generated fear in the latter, causing them to instinctively harbour thoughts of flight the moment they heard these screams.

And now, the moment KalTara released his presence, every single Free Human at the place felt fear. It stemmed from their Human Avatars, generating fear in their hearts and subconsciously wishing to flee the place.

"Hieek!" A Free Human with Gold Grade strength peed his pants the moment he made eye contact with KalTara. He was actually a renowned soldier from the Varahan Empire's side and had killed a few Empyrean Boars in battle.

"Huff…puff…!" His breathing grew ragged as his face turned purple. The Free Human felt it hard to breathe, as if his lungs were desperately unwilling to inhale air in fear of KalTara's presence—permeating the air—entering the lungs.

"What…in the name of Sumatra…" Mesupoh expressed his shock as he stared at KalTara. Unlike others, he had seen KalTara in action multiple times. However, what he was witnessing now went beyond his expectations, 'That bastard…!'

"He's stronger!"

Roar!

The Wean Clansmen erupted with raucous cheers that rumbled the Empyrean Colosseum. Some of them went a step above and assumed their Empyrean Boar forms just to bellow louder.

"That's our Leader!"

"Tremble in fear, fuckers!"

"Kill them all!"

As the Empyrean Boars cheered, there was a group of Pranic Beasts seated towards the edge on the Wean Clan's side. There was a mix of the Librarians affiliated with the Wean Clan alongside Pranic Beasts who arrived just to witness the Varahan Challenge.

It consisted of powerful Gold Grade Pranic Beasts and bizarre Silver Grade Pranic Beasts, some of whom were known for their strength while the others were mostly unknown, having come out of hiding now that Brangara was dead.

Two Wean Clansmen arrived at the place and stood before a certain Silver Grade Pranic Beast, nervously staring at it.

"Can I watch it in peace?" The Silver Grade Pranic Beast's voice was sonorous, fear-inducing even. Even though it was weaker than the Wean Clansmen standing before it, the ones in a state of alarm were the latter. After all, it was an existence that could change the tide of the battle in a moment.

Beginner Silver Grade Pranic Beast—Death Knell!

"Under our watch, yes." The two Wean Clansmen spoke, suddenly feeling an urge to curse aloud upon noticing a few more Silver Grade Pranic Beasts gain entry, 'Why the fuck are those bastards letting in everyone!'

'What the fuck is wrong with their heads?' They were going mad, because the group that had entered just now consisted of Death Knells, a whopping fifteen of them. But worst of all was the existence leading them, one who was an absolute menace and pretty much invincible in a crowd.

Expert Silver Grade Pranic Beast—Grim Knell!

There were only a handful of Grim Knells on the entirety of Sumatra Continent. And in this corner of the Continent, this was the only one. And it was its egg that the Mammoth Clan had stolen in the past, which was then used by Asaeya.

"We're just spectators." The Grim Knell let out a sonorous sound, not expressing anything despite seeing eight Wean Clansmen and over fifty Free Humans gather before it, "Our kind doesn't wish to cause chaos here. We don't benefit from it."

'Why have solitary monsters grouped up now? It makes no sense!' The Wean Clansmen standing right before the Grim Knell had the thought, fearing the cause, 'Too many things have been set into motion due to the Varahan Challenge.'

Brangara caused a lot of chaos during his time. However, other than the times he fought against the Mammoth Clan when he went ballistic, he was pretty conservative towards the environment. He often interfered with Pranic Beast groups and assisted the weaker ones.

The Shock Lizards were one of the groups that benefitted the most from him. As their Natures were of use to him, he created spaces for the Shock Lizards to thrive and increase their population, enough for them to sustain themselves in the gaps between different Pranic Beast territories, which was where they lived.

There was an infinite number of dangerous existences on Sumatra, from Iron to Gold Grade, who all went into hiding the moment Brangara's Era began. The Gold Grade Race of Brimchoir was just one of the countless examples.

They were extremely strong individually but also lived as a horde, making them a threat to even Free Human Empires. However, in fear of Brangara, they lived like voiceless ducks, trying their best never to reveal themselves or create any waves in their surroundings.

But now, they could flex their power and return to their lifestyle from before the Empyrean Boar King's era. Moreover, the chaos created by the Mystic Seven's conflict with Brangara ignited the ambition of many races.

For they all had enough tangible evidence to support the fact that entering the Mystic Grade wasn't impossible. Before, only the Mammoth and Cooter Clans thought about it, which the rest felt they were too far away to even think about it.

But now, many existences realised that as long as they plan well, they had a fair shot at the Mystic Grade. They could take reference from the lives of the Mystic Seven and construct their path to the Mystic Grade. And in preparation for that, they began to make large waves.

'Shit!' The Wean Clansmen glared at the Grim Knell and remained silent. However, he had already used a Vara Slip to inform others, including the Varahan Empire's side, for these Pranic Beasts were completely unpredictable.

He then eyed the Brully who casually arrived to take a seat between the group of Gold Grade Pranic Beasts, many of which instinctively avoided it while some tensed up, intending to kill it, such as the Empyrean Whisker, Pai.

[If they try anything, I'll beat them up! I won't watch anyone disrupt the fight I've been the most excited to witness!]

Suddenly, a message appeared in his Vara Slip as the Wean Clansmen recognised the voice promptly. He eyed the Brully who sent the message and nodded upon seeing the latter wink, 'Well, at least, that's one less thing I have to worry about.'

"Now!" Kenka Echo roared as he pointed at the side of the Varahan Empire, "To my right is a legendary existence that appeared from out of nowhere and rose to become a pinnacle existence."

"To express his importance, I would like to quote a line from our Deity," Inhaling a deep breath, Kenka Echo exclaimed solemnly, "After the Mystic Tentacles, he is the first cultivator to reach the State of Harmony."

"Give it up for the legendary genius who forged ahead a brand-new path for Free Humans on Sumatra, and the one who succeeded the Celestial Boar to be crowned the second Varahan Emperor," He bellowed, "Narkahamy!"

"What the fuck?"

"Has the Quip Clan gone mad?"

"How dare they address that bastard as such?"

The Wean Clan riled up when Narkahamy was addressed as the one who succeeded Brangara as the second Varahan Empire, something the Wean Clansmen didn't acknowledge. They typically referred to Narkahamy as a terrorist, thief, bandit, and other derogatory terms.

Hearing him being acknowledged as the Varahan Emperor felt like a slap to their faces. However, their raging behaviour calmed down sharply when the man standing at the edge of the battlefield began to walk towards the centre.

Similar to KalTara, he began to release his presence that continued to spike without limits. The air trembled as spontaneously, all the Wean Clansmen became drenched in an identity crisis, feeling as if they could all be erased and replaced from history.

The presence released by Narkahamy coiled with KalTara's and synchronised into one.

Boom!

There was a mil roar in the minds of all the spectators as an Empyrean Boar Aurora formed in the sky, acknowledging the sheer presence of the two individuals for they singlehandedly manifested the aurora that the combined presence of a Megacity was required to form.

'Damn!' Kenka Echo thought as he wiped the sweat dripping down his face. His limbs shivered faintly due to the effects of the Empyrean Boar Aurora and noticed that this aurora only reinforced the strength of the two combatants, 'If I were to fight them here, even I'll lose terribly.'

"Before we begin!" Kenka Echo announced as he created a Tangible Piezo Slip to reverberate the words of the two combatants across the entire Empyrean Colosseum, "A word from each, please."

The Quip Clansmen stationed at the border of the Empyrean Colosseum were constantly maintaining their Skills to ensure everything that was spoken by the two combatants and Kenka Echo on the battlefield was clearly audible to everyone.

"Well," KalTara was the first to speak, his expression oozing confidence as he stared at Narkahamy, "I am happy that someone here decided to stop cowering in his palace and came out to fight."

"Well, you're right, I am a coward." Narkahamy responded, "And the only reason a coward issued the challenge is that he couldn't find any reasons to cower about."

"If that's hard for you to understand," His lips curled up as Narkahamy uttered, "You're not scary for even a coward, kid."

"That's not a good choice," KalTara shook his head, "for your final words, I mean."

There was silence between the duo before soon, the presence they released spiked, like a thunderclap. Understanding that it was his cue to leave, Kenka Echo leapt back at his fastest speed and bellowed in a hurry, "It's starting, everyone!"

His sentence hadn't even echoed throughout the Empyrean Colosseum when there was a thunderous boom on the ground.

"Damn!" Kenka Echo assumed his Pranic Beast form and watched an intense gust of air send him flying into the stands. He hurriedly stabilised his footing and landed on an elevated platform meant for him, beginning his work as an anchor to the battle, "As a Neutral party, I am announcing…"

Boom!

"This is the First Varahan Challenge!" As he spoke, the audience gasped as thunderous booms echoed from the centre when strangely, both KalTara and Narkahamy hadn't budged an inch from their spots.

The collisions between their presence were what was generating the thunder.
