I'm an Extra, so What?-Chapter 26: Strengh
Chapter 26 - Strengh
All the maids, who had been overwhelmed by their emotional outburst, suddenly snapped back to reality.
As the haze of embarrassment faded, the weight of their actions settled in.
The realization of who they had just attacked struck them all at once, like a bolt of lightning.
Their faces paled.
When the full gravity of their mistake sank in, panic ensued.
"Young Master, I'm so sorry!" one of them cried, her voice trembling.
"Young Master, stay put! I'll grab some healing potions!" another shouted, already rushing toward the nearest cabinet.
"Young Master, please don't punish us!" pleaded a third, her hands clasped together.
Luka, however, barely reacted.
His mind was elsewhere.
His glasses, now foggy and cracked, obscured his vision. Slowly, he exhaled.
"It's fine," Luka muttered, his voice calm but distant.
As the maids frantically reached out to help him up, he gently pushed their hands away and straightened himself.
Then, with a whisper under his breath, he said, "Open Status." He then took off his glasses.

Luka's eyes traced over, his gaze lingering on "Strength".
He moved his finger over the stat as he allocated both attribute points into it.
The moment he confirmed his choice, a pulse of energy coursed through his body.
His muscles tensed and then expanded ever so slightly.
A dull ache spread across his limbs, like the soreness after a workout, but deeper—like his very bones were hardening, reshaping themselves to hold more power.
For the first time since he's come to this game-like world, Luka felt... different.
Not strong, not yet, but no longer as frail and soft as before.
It was subtle, but he could tell.
His body, once weak and easily battered, had taken its first step toward change.
Luka clenched his fists, flexing his fingers.
'This is so much better...'
"Um, Young Master..."
Serene hesitated, her voice laced with guilt as she stepped forward, cradling a pair of health potions in her hands.
Her expression was troubled, her brows furrowed with self-reproach.
She had been part of the chaos, after all, and though she hadn't personally struck him, she felt just as responsible for not stopping the others.
"Here, here are the health potions," Serene said, extending them toward him.
As she did, she subtly motioned for the other maids to leave.
They quickly obeyed, scurrying away in silent shame.
The bathhouse, which had been filled with frantic voices just moments ago, now fell into an awkward stillness.
Luka, still adjusting to his newly allocated strength, sighed and handed Serene his cracked glasses.
She accepted them without a word, her grip careful, as if handling something fragile.
Meanwhile, Luka swiped away the system windows with a flick of his hand before reaching for one of the healing potions.
He then grabbed it and popped it open and tilted his head back, gulping down the red liquid in one smooth motion.
A pleasant warmth spread through his body, an almost euphoric sensation washing over him.
Luka couldn't deny it—he loved this feeling.

'Ah~ I could really get addicted to this...' Luka mused, running his tongue over his lips before wiping away the last stray drop with the back of his hand.
Not a single drop wasted.

Luke held out the empty healing potion. "Here."
Serene took back the empty bottle with her hand.
"I truly apologize, Young Master," she murmured, her gaze lowering. "For allowing such an attack on you..."
Luka shrugged, unfazed. "It's fine. I walked in on a bunch of naked women—I should've expected this."
He rubbed the back of his head, letting out a small, self-aware chuckle.
He wasn't stupid.
He knew he had been too blinded by the thought of XP to think things through properly.
And, of course, that wasn't about to change anytime soon.
Luka turned around, stretching his shoulders as he glanced back at Serene. "Make sure to tell the other maids they aren't in trouble. I'm not a tyrant, after all..."
Serene nodded. "Of course, Young Master."
Luka smirked to himself. Plus, he'd been given a gift!
Though he wasn't some inexperienced virgin, he would always appreciate such a sight.
He started walking away, his tone casual as he added, "Oh, and deliver a new pair of glasses to my room."
"Right away, Young Master." Serene bowed her head slightly.
A small, warm smile formed on her lips as she watched him leave.
'He really does have a kind heart...'
However, just as Luka took a few steps forward, he suddenly stopped in his tracks.
His expression darkened, and his voice rang out like a crack of thunder.
"SNOW! Get your ass over here, you little bastard!"
The sound of his name jolted Snow out of his blissful laziness.
The little dragon, who was still floating on his back in the water, suddenly flailed in surprise.
His body flipped over with an unceremonious plop, sending ripples across the bath.
For a moment, he splashed around in panic before regaining control.
Then, realizing he wasn't allowed to slack off any longer, Snow hastily swam to the edge.
Shaking off the water from his body, he scampered over and, with a powerful leap, landed squarely on Luka's shoulder.
"Grrr..."
"You little bastard, just so you know, you're sleeping on the floor tonight," Luka said coldly as he began walking again.
"Krrrrrrr... mrrrrrrrhhh..."

"Um, why are you following me?"
Luka was sitting on the bench he had sat on earlier in the day, absentmindedly twirling a long dagger between his fingers.
"Is there anyway I can get some alone time?"
His gaze flickered down to the blade, checking its balance and sharpness. He leaned back against a wooden wall.
"Are you going to say something, or are you just going to stare at me and smile?"
Kai, now cleaned up and practically glowing with energy, finally spoke.
"Well, I haven't seen you in so long! I want to spend time with my little brother!"
She beamed, hands on her hips.
"The Academy wouldn't let me come home on breaks because I was in the student council..."
"I see..." Luka muttered, though internally, he sighed.
He already knew there was no getting rid of her.
He could tell once his older sister latches onto something, she was like a stubborn duckling—determined, persistent, and impossible to shake off.
Accepting this, Luka resumed spinning the dagger between his fingers.
Kai's expression shifted slightly, her sharp eyes studying him. "Though, I must say..." She leaned in just a bit.
"You aren't thinking of leaving the settlement again, are you?"
Luka didn't respond right away.
He let the silence stretch between them, his grip tightening slightly on the dagger's hilt.
Then, after a few seconds, he replied flatly.
"I just want to reach a decent level before entering the Academy. Once Serene shows up with her backpack full of healing potions and whatever, we're heading out. I'm assuming you're coming too?"
After all, Luka had no intention of letting the main character of this game-like world hog all the good opportunities.
The 1st Act of the game was his to claim!
Kai's brows furrowed at such bluntness... "Of course. I will not let you put your life in danger."
"Just don't steal my kills..." Luka pleaded.
"I promise you! I will merely observe!" Kai gave him a thumbs-up.
Luka narrowed his eyes.
He wasn't sure if he could trust her.
Before he could dwell on it further, a voice called out.
"Young Master! I'm ready to head out!"
Turning his head, Luka spotted Serene jogging toward them.
She had a large backpack slung over her shoulders, and unlike her usual attire, she was now clad in a full set of metal armor.
In her hands, she carried a massive shield, nearly as tall as she was.
Luka blinked. "Holy shit..."
His eyes were trailing up and down the sheer size of the thing.
He knew she was a tanker, but he hadn't expected that.
'That's one hell of a shield...'
But now, seeing that his personal maid was here, Luka stood up from the bench.
"Alright, let's head out."
