I’m Not Going to Be Bullied By a Girl-Chapter 15 – Doll from a Foreign Country

“Beep, beep, beep. Arriving at Dongshan Lake station, please exit if this is your stop.”

I dejectedly grabbed the escalators handles, identical to a group of lifeless office workers and was brought up to the first floor.

The first floor was a vast area that mainly handled selling and inspecting tickets.

There were still many people who were walking hastily with their heads down with a clear destination in mind.

A streak of dazzling gold swept by in front of my eyes.

It seemed like a doll walked by me.

I blinked my eyes thinking I was hallucinating.

But that doll was already standing in front of the western wall in the main hall and was studying the map of the city.

It was a girl with golden hair and blue eyes that looked to be about 11 or 12.

Her golden hair was sparkling underneath the rays of the lights, her hair was tied with bowties into a twin-tail. It looked like it had a lot of elasticity and will bounce as she walks. It gives off the impression that she has a very lively personality.

Her eyes took up half of her face and were as blue as the afternoon sky.

Is she a foreigner?

Ever since that movie town was built here, it was marketed as the city’s main tourist attraction point (another was Dongshan Lake), so foreign tourists weren’t too rare.

However, this doll-like kid doesn’t look completely Western.

A lot of western girls at this age would have some freckles or very large and pointed noses. But the girl in front of me carries some East Asian traits as well.

Is she a mixed-blood?

Her skin was as white as porcelain, and her blue eyes emanated a confident yet cute strength. She pursed her lips seemingly upset at something, but it’s exactly this type of look that’ll get people excited.

Someone will ask: Can Darwin’s theory of Evolution really create such a magnificent work of art?

She’s in a completely different world compared to me, and all these other people walking by.

Apart from her natural good looks, her clothes were very sweet and pleasant. Cute to a point that it left no room for normal people.

She wore a short white blouse with white flowers sewn across the edges, along with a short black skirt under her belt and light pink stockings on her slender legs.

She was also wearing a child’s princess shoe bordered with jewels.

If she was shrunk down and sold as a doll, she must sell very well, right?

At this moment, she was pulling a red suitcase in one hand and holding a folded piece of paper in the other, while carefully comparing the words on the paper to the map on the wall.

Is…is she lost?

Did this doll-like girl come to China for vacation? Why did she stray off from her parents? She probably can’t speak Chinese either, right?

She stared at the map for a long time and was becoming more and more restless.

She still had a conceited look in her eyes, like the type that won’t ask others for directions.

I unconsciously stepped closer to her.

Don’t misunderstand, I’m not one of those shameless lolicons from those H Mangas. I just wanted to see if I could help her.

I think it’s normal to want to help after seeing a girl all alone in a foreign country.

It also feels like I have an unspeakable familiar bond with her, as if she may not be a complete stranger to me.

It’s hard to explain, but I really have this feeling.

Of course, my English grade is shit to an unprecedented degree.

Can I communicate with her?

“Hi ~” I tried to put on a friendly smile and called out to the girl.

Hopefully she won’t get scared away by my scary face.

She turned her head and vigilantly stared at me.

She may be considered taller compared to kids of her age, but her actual height was only around 140cm. If she stared straight she can only see my stomach.

Because she had to raise her head to see my face, she showed an offended expression and tried to stare me down as if she’s the princess of some country. A peasant like me should kneel down to speak in accordance with basic etiquette.

Because she didn’t have a great attitude and I don’t know English, I was tongue-tied.

After being stared at by me for a while she took a deep breath while looking infuriated.

“Look—-”

She spat out a sound, was that ‘Look’? Can she speak Chinese? Or am I mistaken?

“—-What the hell are you looking at !!” she shrieked at me angrily.

It was very loud, everyone in the hall could hear it.

It was Chinese no doubt, it was very clear. The intonation was also very accurate. It appropriately conveyed her despise and disdain for me.

Your temperament is way too bad. I just wanted to help!

“Comrade….No no no, international friend, there seems to be some misunderstanding between us. Are you lost?”

“You’re lost!” she charged at me without warning and kicked me on my lower legs.

Her princess shoes landed solidly on my bone.

It hurts so damn much! I crouched down to hold my lower leg.

“Eh? How could you kick somebody….” without giving me any breathing space, while I was crouching she raised her hands and slapped me across the face!

~SLAP~ the sound resonated loud and clear, it reverberated across the hall.

My left cheek was on fire. I’ll admit I underestimated her. Though her attacks didn’t cause any real damage to me, besides I won’t actually go at it with a kid seriously.

The doll was unconcerned after those two hits, she creased her brows then crumpled the paper she was holding in her hand and threw it at my eyes.

I reached out to catch the paper, when I looked again the doll was already running away while pulling her suitcase.

“Damn pervert! Go die!” she yelled as she ran. Perhaps afraid I would chase her she would turn her head back from time to time.

The jumping twin-tails quickly disappeared into the sea of people.

I didn’t chase her lest I would get seen as a bad guy by the masses. Even now, the way they’re looking at me is evidently different.

A mom clearly picking up her child from school already hid them behind her back.

Why are you judging me by my appearance, my heart is already broken! And also, dear mother, the one you just hid was a boy, right?

I’m not interested in boys! Also, wipe up that snot hanging from his nose!

I returned home whilst crying blood.

My dad waited until I came inside before turning on the stove and said that dinner would be ready in a bit. He didn’t ask me why I came back so late, but then again he has no sense of time.

While I was waiting for dinner, I returned to my own room and laid in bed thinking about the events that transpired today.

It seems like a lifetime’s worth of event happened all in one day.

I’m really exhausted!

I suddenly felt something in my pockets. After taking it out I realized it was the piece of paper that doll threw at me at the subway station.

Out of curiosity, I opened that page of paper wanting to see what was written on it.

This paper looked very high class, even the ink on the page gave off a good scent.

The contents on the other hand…

The upper half was in English so I couldn’t recognize a single word.

The second half mixed in some Chinese words, like “Dongshan Lake”, “XiQu” and the like. One notable word was “Qing Zi middle school first year”.

Isn’t that the private middle school where all those rich kids go to? Could it be that she wasn’t here for vacation, but is a student there?

All the Chinese characters were written at an elementary level, it was very childish. I wanted to laugh even more thinking about her conceited expression. Her English was written very well though.

At the bottom of the page there was an English signature, followed by a series of Chinese characters.

“Amir” “Emir” “Imir” “AiMir”

It looked like a foreigner trying to select a Chinese name for themselves.

The first three names were crossed out with red X’s. The last name was circled.

Wait, so this bad-tempered doll chose AiMir as her Chinese name? TN: name uses honey as one of its characters.

Based on appearances she does seem like someone as sweet as honey. But, her personality is terrible. One can only look from afar and not get up close, or be made into a Barbie doll and placed in a display window.

We’ll probably never meet anymore, and I also don’t want her to remember me.

I crumpled the page again and threw it into the trash.

My dad was calling me for dinner.
