Chapter 68 - 84: Fragment_Kitsune’s Reversal

The air trembled.
Not from fear—from awe.
Yuki didn't flare his aura. He didn't shout. He just... moved.

In a blur, he stood in front of the Eidolon, eyes glowing like twin moons caught in a void storm.
His hand rose.
Void twisted around his fingers—a quiet, cold thing, like starlight bleeding through cracks in reality. He didn't punch. He touched the Eidolon's chest—and erased its form.
It didn't scream.
It just unraveled—like a memory forgotten mid-sentence.
Nogitsune watched, eyes wide. His mouth opened slightly, an unspoken thought racing across his mind.
> "So this is it. This is what I'm training."
> "That... was child's play."
But even as Yuki stood there—expression unreadable, blood still dripping from the corner of his mouth—his knees buckled.
He collapsed.
And then came the voices.

Fragment: The Aftermath
"YUKI!"
Aiko ran. Fast. Wild. Her tears hit the ground before she did, and when she slid beside him, she clutched his hand like it was her only lifeline.
"You idiot," she whispered through sobs. "Don't you ever do that again."
Himari reached slower—but no less shaken. She didn't speak. She just knelt, her hand resting on Yuki's shoulder, her other wiping a tear she hadn't noticed fall.
Ren and Kai stood at a distance. Haru folded his arms, silent. All of them were watching.
Watching a boy who shouldn't have survived. Who did.
Kai finally broke the silence.
"...Can we vote on who protects who now?"
Ren smirked. "Not the time. But also—yes."
Yuki stirred. Barely.
"...I saw stars," he muttered, delirious. "...and Aiko and Himari in kimonos... feeding me ramen..."
Both girls flushed instantly.
"WHAT?" Aiko shouted, face redder than her aura.
Himari coughed into her sleeve. "That's... that's probably a dream. Probably."
Everyone stared.
Nogitsune finally spoke, walking past them.
"Let him rest. He'll need it."
And under his breath, almost to himself:
> "Because this is only the beginning."
