Inside the evil sect alliance building, a pensive atmosphere hung in the air. Each of the powerhouses wore a solemn expression on their faces.

"How is it possible that both Palm-Edge Ren and Lianmu Gu were killed at the same time?" Lady Lihun, the middle-aged woman with a scantily dressed and seductive form, asked, breaking the silence.

This was a riddle none of them could solve.

It had been three days since Palm-Edge and Lianmu Gu volunteered to subdue both the Southern Region and the Western Region.

However, in less than a day, their auras had vanished at the border of the Southern Region.

Moreover, their many claims of extraordinary attacks that shook heaven and earth had gone silent.

To be cautious, none of the evil sect powerhouses dared visit the scene of the attack. They merely instructed their men to investigate what was happening.

For two days, nothing out of the ordinary had occurred, but that very fact made them wary.

They were masters of sneak attacks, experts in shadows, plotting against their enemies.

But now, they were in the open while their enemies lurked in the shadows.

With the continuous threat from the righteous alliance, they were already facing a strong counterattack.

Their disciples were slaughtered with every passing day. Their control over the outer ring was slipping from their grasp.

And now they have lost two of their strongest cultivators.

Ironjaw Qishi stood quietly, his bald head shining brightly, reflecting the dim light in the room.

He was the mastermind behind the attack on the continent, and everything had been calculated by him.

But this was beyond him.

He had expected the righteous faction to fight back, perhaps with a hidden powerhouse, but never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that the anomaly would come from the Southern and Western Regions.

"Ironjaw, are you going to keep quiet?" an old man known as Blood Saber muttered, his brow creased into a deep frown.

Ironjaw Qishi turned and looked at him. "What do you want me to do? We know nothing of our enemies. Do you want us to lose another member?"

Listening to his question, Blood Saber and everyone else knew this was true.

They could not afford to lose another member of their alliance, while also needing to be wary of their enemies.

"I suggest we call in the ancient Zhou, Wu, and Silver Wei sects. This is not the time to continue their hypocrisy. We're all in this together," the Benevolent Monk said.

He was an old monk, dressed in a loosely brown cassock.

"I agree, but it won't be easy. With the sudden appearance of the Stoneheart Armor, those bastards are trying to leave a way out for themselves," Lady Lihun said, her voice dripping with disgust.

"They're naïve if they think they can use us and dispose of us. If we fall, we fall together," a thin old man added.

Everyone hated the duplicitous nature of the ancient forces. They labeled them evil cultivators when they were, in fact, the greatest evil on the continent. At least they denied their evil deeds, but these ancient clans were full of hypocrisy.

"You don't need to worry. I already have a plan to deal with those bastards," Ironjaw Qishi said in a solemn tone.

How could he not understand the game of all the ancient powers? But right now, his main priority was to uncover the powerhouse residing in the Southern Region.

"Still, we need them, right? Our main priority is the Southern Region. We need to find the powerhouse hiding there."

"What about the Northern Region? We've lost half of the city, and our people are dying like flies." Lady Lihun explained.

For a moment, none of the powerhouses knew what to say. Their decades-long plans and schemes were shattered before their eyes.

They had already lost the Southern Region and the Western Region, and now the Northern Region was slipping from their grasp.

If they did not intervene, they would lose the Northern Region as well.

By then, their plan could be considered a failure.

Ironjaw Qishi sneered. "Since the ancient forces want to hide, why don't we send them to the Northern Region to quell the revolt and uproot the rebels."

He rose to his feet; his face etched with deadly killing intent.

"Send a word to the ancient Zhou, Wu, and Silver Wei sects. They must send their people to the Northern Region immediately. Otherwise, we will unleash our rage on them."

All the powerhouses nodded, their faces filled with killing intent.

"Good." The Benevolent Monk nodded, pleased with the plan. "But I'll also suggest we recruit more from the ancient forces."

"Hm?" Everyone turned and looked at him.

"With an unknown force hanging over our heads, we can try to recruit the Ancient Liu clan, Ancient Sun clan, or the Ancient Huang clan."

"I don't believe any of the three clans would resist the promise of allowing them to dominate the region for a hundred years," he added sleight of hand.

The powerhouses looked at each other, and everyone saw the shock in the others' eyes.

"Great plan," Lady Lihun praised, looking at the Benevolent Monk coquettishly.

"Monk, why don't you rest your bald head on my chest? Don't worry, I won't demand anything." She swayed her ample bosom seductively.

Seeing her action, some of the old men could not help but swallow hard.

"Amitabha." He clasped his hands and recited a Buddhist scripture.

"Tsk!" She snorted, a playful smile on her lips.

Ironjaw Qishi looked at the Benevolent Monk and nodded, pleased with the plan.

"We'll do as the monk suggested."

….

….

Behind an ancient mountain, three old men sat with solemn expressions.

"The evil sect alliance has been quiet for the past few days. My instinct says they're planning something sinister," the Yun ancestor muttered.

"We can guess what they're planning, but there is no need to fear. We should increase our attacks," the Lotus Sword Ancestor said calmly.

"I don't think it's that simple," the Qiu ancestor said, shaking his head.

"We might have gained a slight upper hand, but the fight is far from over."

"We must not forget there are the Zhou clan, Silver Wei sect, and the Wu clan. We need a perfect plan to counterattack them all at once." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

"You're right. I've already had my men keep an eye on them," the Yun Ancestor said gravely.

"If we have more Stoneheart Armor, we can increase the attack," the Lotus Sword Sect Ancestor suggested, looking at the Qiu ancestor.

"Don't worry. I'm already working on it."
