Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 367 - 2/7]
|Tier 2 Amber Wood Plank|
The creation of this colorful plank was followed by the dropping of an |Expertise +1.3| Attribute Orb, which Cassius allowed the Origin Material Manufacturer to absorb.
Watching the Origin Unit do just that, Cassius was astounded to see violet-colored light engulf it, increasing its wood-shaving task efficiency by over 30%!
"Damn, that's nice," Cassius commented as he watched similar things happen to the other ten or so Material Manufacturers. "Now then, I wonder how it's going for the Origin Diggers and Miners."
Honing in on them with his Magic Sense, he saw that a couple of the Diggers had finally struck gold—or in this case, Iron.
After discovering this Iron, they called upon the Origin Miners.
The Origin Miners extracted the raw metal using a decent level of technique. Then, they took the extracted Iron and ascended up the earthy staircase they had used to descend to where the Iron was located. Brightly lit torches lined the paths they dug out, reminding Cassius of a game he used to play a very long time ago.
Lying in wait at the entrance to these underground tunnels were more Origin Material Manufacturers. They were given the Iron by the Origin Miners, who took the metal out of their giant backpacks.
The Origin Material Manufacturers then registered their designated tasks, prompting them to conjure metal-chiselers. They used them to chisel away at the raw Iron chunks, causing sparks to fly and trace amounts of the metal to gather in the air.
The finished products of these Origin Material Manufacturers wound up being Rough Ingots—ones that possessed a far higher density of Iron than the raw chunks that were originally extracted and transported.
"A smelter would be nice," mused Cassius, stroking his chin in curious thought. "But for now, the Rough Iron Ingots will just have to sit aside and rust. Though I do wonder where I'll put them. The storage space I have right now certainly won't cut it."
He felt that they could be stored inside one of the large sheds, but with how many of the Ingots were being constantly crafted, the shed wouldn't be able to hold them all for long.
A lightbulb suddenly flashed within his mind. He shifted toward the Origin Builders, the perfect idea forming.
A Storagehouse!
Commanding them to begin making use of the Amber Wood Planks, Cassius also had a number of the Origin Material Manufacturers work together with the Basic Origin Architects. The latter created the simple blueprints for a Storagehouse, while the former shaved chunks of Amber Wood into various shapes.
From wooden arches to window frames to any number of other building components—the Origin Material Manufacturers could do it all!
Of course, that was assuming the rank of the materials being crafted was within their capabilities.
Which, in this case, they were.
— A Couple Minutes Later —
The Origin Manufacturers had just concluded the crafting of the last parts necessary to construct a basic Storagehouse. As long as the Builders followed the Basic Origin Architects' designs to a T, it went without saying that the final product would surely be something worthy of the teamwork that went into creating it.
Speaking of teamwork, the Origin Builders—numbering in the dozens—had just started to seriously move. They, too, adhered to the Storagehouse Blueprint made by the Basic Origin Architects, hammering magically made nails wherever they needed to go.
Moving like blurs of light, the Storagehouse's completion timer appeared before Cassius:
[Basic Origin Storagehouse (Tier 3)] - [Time to Completion: 58 Seconds]
"So, around a minute to make something like a Storagehouse," Cassius noted, finding the procedure of the Origin Units quite appealing to observe. "If you factor in the amount of Attribute Orbs that drop while these Units perform their tasks, then constructing buildings really is especially lucrative."

If only he had more space…
"How much for the next Village upgrade?" he asked, despite knowing for certain that he lacked the funds.
*Ding!*
[To upgrade your Tier 4 Origin Village to a Tier 5 Origin Village, you will require 1000 Unity as well as the existence of 3 Basic Origin Storagehouses, 10 Basic Origin Houses, and 1 Origin Community Center!]
"Hurm?" Raising his brows, Cassius re-read the System Message just to make sure he heard correctly. "So I need more than just Unity to upgrade the Origin Village now. Good to know."
Coincidentally, the Basic Origin Architects had a pretty good-sized list of Blueprints that could be created. On that list were the Facilities required to upgrade the Origin Village to Tier 5.
Cassius had several of the Basic Origin Architects begin the tasks of creating the necessary Blueprints, each one taking a different amount of time. Taking longer to complete than the Basic Origin Houses was the Origin Community Center.
But with at least a few hours until Cassius and the gang reached the next best island after the one with the Exalted Marshal on it, he had plenty of time to play around in the Originverse.
— Five Minutes Later —
With the Origin Community Center Blueprint finally created, Cassius had the Origin Builders move over from their finished Facilities. They were to begin constructing the larger and more time-costly Origin Community Center, and within seconds, all of them were hard at work accomplishing exactly that.
Looking away from the constructing Community Center, Cassius counted a total of five Origin Storagehouses lined up right next to each other. They took up a good bit of space, but it wasn't enough to harm the workflow of the other Origin Units.
The Origin Miners had been bringing up Iron Chunk after Iron Chunk, thus Iron Ingot production was in full swing. And with so many Origin Storagehouses, the Miners, Diggers, and Material Manufacturers were free to non-stop do their individual parts on the production line.
Cassius also took note of the fifteen Basic Origin Houses that had been built and scattered around the Origin Courtyard's Large House in a circular formation. They were each one story tall, had a single bedroom, and a single living room.
Overall, they were simple.
