Infinite Game - Start With SSS Rank Class-Chapter 126: Night Parade of a Hundred Demons (17)
Zombie Angel began to move. Its tentacles, like legs, propped its body up in midair, then carried it toward the building.
It entered the building, then moved into the main hall. But at that moment, it suddenly stopped.
"Hm!?" Rover frowned, confused.
Nanoe and Morie also felt something was wrong. They stayed silent and continued observing.
But right after that, their eyes widened, filled with disbelief.
Two more Zombie Angels appeared.
"What the hell?!" Rover couldn’t hold it in and shouted, "Two Zombie Angels, System, are you kidding me?"
Nanoe realized something and immediately said, "Each Block will have similar waves of monsters attacking. That means... if the other Survivors all give up their right to participate, the Zombie Angels from the other two Blocks will converge on us."
Hearing that, Rover took a deep breath. A bone-deep chill crawled through him, like he was sitting in an ice cellar.
One Zombie Angel was already enough to give him a headache. Now there were three. He didn’t know how he was supposed to deal with this.
Even if their power had been reduced by 90%, he was afraid his chance of winning would still be very low.
The three Zombie Angels didn’t stop at any rooms. They went straight for Floor 7.
Rover, Nanoe, and Morie watched the screen tensely. The moment they saw the Zombie Angels appear, their hearts hammered like they were about to leap out of their chests.
Morie’s hand rested on the defense tower control panel, trembling slightly. Even her breathing was a bit unsteady.
Nanoe had prepared a huge amount of game currency and resources, ready to resupply the defense towers at any time.
Rover stared at the screen. His nerves were stretched tight like a bowstring. It was hard to stay calm, and his palms were slick with sweat.
He wanted to Upgrade the defense towers, but if he spent too much money on them, then when the door durability dropped, he might not have enough Omni Points to Repair the door.
At that moment, Nanoe suddenly placed her hand on his and said softly, "Rover, we’ll fight together."
Rover glanced at her and nodded lightly. "Don’t worry. I’ll protect you."
The instant the three Zombie Angels entered the attack range, Morie immediately controlled the defense towers to attack them.
Outside, the defense towers became like a money grinder, continuously firing countless pellets and arrows.
The whistling of wind and the sounds of impacts rang out nonstop, yet the three Zombie Angels weren’t injured at all. A barrier covered their bodies. The pellets hit and instantly dispersed.
Only the Ballista Crossbow’s arrows could pierce that barrier, but they only penetrated slightly, dealing no significant damage to the Zombie Angels.
"This is bad! That light barrier has basically blocked all the defense towers’ damage," Morie shouted anxiously. "If we can’t break that protection, we won’t be able to attack them."
Rover watched the screen and saw exactly what was happening. He gritted his teeth and said, "Then wait for them to attack the door. We’ll rely on the door’s special effects to kill them."
Morie nodded. She stopped using the pellet launcher and used only the Ballista Crossbow. However, the damage was almost negligible. Every attack seemed meaningless.
Very quickly, the three Zombie Angels reached his door. They didn’t rush to attack. Instead, they stood around the door. The裂 on their chests opened wide, revealing circular rings of fangs inside like a grinding machine.
In the center was a small opening. Inside that opening was a dazzling green, as if there were a uranium reactor within.
Right after that, a horrifying sound rang out.
WOOO!!!
The sound came from all three Zombie Angels, forming countless waves of sonic force that slammed forward, making even the space itself tremble violently.
Inside the room, Rover gritted his teeth and waved his hand. His mirror ability activated, forming a barrier around everyone in the room.
Even though the glass shield didn’t block the sound completely, it at least cancelled out over 90% of the harmful noise.
Morie clasped her hands together. Her Ability immediately activated, creating a vacuum zone around everyone’s bodies.
Sound couldn’t travel through a vacuum. As a result, the Zombie Angels’ screams couldn’t affect them.
Rover was startled. He hadn’t expected Morie to grasp the ability to create a vacuum zone so quickly.
Back then, he had possessed that Ability too, but he couldn’t bring it out to the degree Morie could. Looks like... talent gaps also meant gaps in how far an Ability could be developed.

[Ding! Door Durability: -5]
Rover saw the notification. His face turned gloomy. Five durability every three seconds... even if he wasn’t affected by the scream, if this kept up, the door would be broken very soon.
The screaming continued. Rover kept spending Omni Points to Repair the door, his eyes locked on the TV screen.
"This is bad! It can regenerate," Rover shouted softly.
Sure enough, on the screen, Zombie Angel’s body kept melting, then continuously condensed the melted parts back into a physical body.
That process repeated nonstop, and Rover began to panic. Were these Zombie Angels immortal?
Morie tried multiple times to control the defense towers to attack, but it was useless.
"This is bad. This is really bad," Rover muttered. "If this continues, when I run out of Omni Points, I’ll be facing death!"
He clenched his teeth, desperately thinking of a way to solve this.
"Ah!" Morie suddenly screamed. "There’s a crack!"
Rover immediately looked at the TV. Sure enough, on the protective domes around all three Zombie Angels, tiny cracks had appeared. They were small, but they were slowly spreading.
Morie didn’t waste time. She immediately controlled the Ballista Crossbow and kept firing into those cracks. The Ballista Crossbow had armor-piercing, so it quickly widened the cracks.
Rover knew those cracks were thanks to the door’s damage reflection effect dealing true damage. Otherwise, he would have been helplessly watching the door get destroyed by now.
SMASH!
At that moment, an arrow pierced through the barrier and stabbed straight into the裂 at the center of one Zombie Angel’s chest. It staggered back, and its screaming stopped.
Morie didn’t stop. She kept focusing fire on the wounded Zombie Angel.
The Ballista Crossbow launched arrow after arrow, aiming straight at it. Its body became like a hedgehog, pierced with countless arrows, yet it still didn’t die.
"Damn it!" Morie gritted her teeth. The vitality of these zombies was truly terrifying.
At least thirty arrows were lodged in that zombie, turning it into a real hedgehog, yet it still tried to stand up. Its tentacles slowly began pulling the arrows out of its body.
At this moment, the other two Zombie Angels stopped screaming too. The piercing sound vanished. Instead, they began striking the door with their tentacles.
BAM! BAM! BAM!
[Ding! Door Durability: -7]
[Ding! Door Durability: -7]
Heavy impacts rang out along with the System’s notifications, but at the same time, even more cracks appeared on their protective domes.
Seeing that, Rover’s eyes lit up. "Perfect! Physical attacks are actually making their barriers crack even more."
Morie clenched her teeth and kept focusing on the injured Zombie Angel.
However...
Crack! Crack!
"Huh?!" Morie jolted and hurriedly said, "Did the Ballista Crossbow run out of ammo?"
Nanoe immediately replied, "We still have plenty of gold coins. It can’t be because we’re out of ammo."
Rover looked at the screen and frowned. "That’s... they’ve disabled our defense tower."
On the TV, some slime had coated the entire Ballista Crossbow at some point, preventing it from functioning.
The atmosphere in the room turned heavy.
Morie switched to using pellets. Even though its damage was lower than the Ballista Crossbow, at least it still worked.
Seeing his Omni Points dropping far too fast, Rover started to feel anxious.
If this kept going, his Omni Points would run out before the three Zombie Angels died.
He gritted his teeth and used [Mirror]. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
A glass panel appeared before him. He tried to enter the mirror world, but the moment his body touched the surface, a powerful force shoved him back, making him stagger several steps.
"Damn it. I can’t use this ability to go outside?" Rover muttered.
He knew this was the System’s rule.
"Is there... really no way?" Rover glanced at Nanoe and Morie, who were still struggling, and felt utterly helpless.
"Huh?! Everyone, look!" Monica suddenly spoke up.
Everyone turned to her and saw the doll in her hand suddenly float into the air, emitting a faint, eerie dark glow.
It suddenly flew to the front of the door, hovering there as its body trembled violently.
Outside, a black shadow began spreading across the entire hallway, swallowing it into darkness.
The hallway lights started flickering rapidly, and with every flicker, the light grew weaker.
The space became heavy in a way that was hard to describe, as if everyone were standing in thick mud, slowly being devoured.
"That shadow..." Rover suddenly felt something familiar when he saw the darkness swallowing the hallway.
Right after that...
Countless eyes opened.
