Infinite Game - Start With SSS Rank Class-Chapter 77: Asylum No. 02 (1)
Jonathan smiled. "Of course I know that. But I feel... we can win, because this is a defense-type mission, and we can upgrade defensive towers."
"Hm?!" Rover felt a little lost. He frowned and asked, "You mean..."
"Side missions are divided into many types and many different difficulty levels." Jonathan explained. "There are five difficulties: Normal, Hard, Challenge, Nightmare, and Hell."
"Although it doesn’t show on the mission info, Survivors have summarized that there are three mission types. Type 1 is a puzzle mission. Once you enter, Survivors will have their abilities and power sealed. You can only use your intelligence to solve puzzles."
"Type 2 is a defense mission. Participating Survivors will be taken to a separate location. There, each Survivor will have their own room and their own scoring system to defend that room. Of course, Survivors can’t leave the room, but everyone’s abilities can still be used."
"Type 3 is a free mission. It’s also the most terrifying and difficult type, with the lowest success rate. In that type of mission, the requirements become extremely unreasonable and hard to understand. It’s not just puzzles, defense, and building defensive towers. Survivors also have to fight monsters."
"However, the mission you’re looking at belongs to Type 2. It has the highest success rate and is the safest. Like right now, as long as you don’t leave the room and you upgrade the door and the defensive towers, that’s enough."
After listening, Rover silently memorized what Jonathan said, then asked, "So... you’ve already decided on the participants, right?"
"That’s right!" Jonathan smiled. "This mission doesn’t specify Owner or Tenant, so anyone can participate. If we count your group and mine, that’s exactly twelve people. But your group is too large, so I can only take up to six of you."
Rover rubbed his chin. He planned to bring all four of his women, but... he wasn’t completely sure.
After all, that mission was in a completely different area from this apartment complex. He didn’t know whether his abilities and Class would work there, so he didn’t want to bring everyone.
He didn’t want to put all his eggs in one basket, so his mind was choosing rapidly.
Seeing that, Jonathan pushed six invitation cards toward him and said, "You can think it over, then contact me. I’m in Room 1409. My name is Jonathan."
Rover didn’t stand on ceremony. He took all the invitations, then nodded. "Good. I’ll make a decision quickly and contact you as soon as possible."
"I hope so too." Jonathan smiled in reply.
....
"I understand." After hearing Rover recount everything, Leng Yan smiled. "He handed the invitations to you, so you get to decide the members who join the mission."
Hearing that, Nick frowned. "I want a spot. I can pay."
Rover shook his head. "The issue isn’t money. I need to choose the right people for the mission. Even if you give me a mountain of gold coins, if you’re not suitable, then when the time comes, it won’t just be you. Everyone will be affected."
Nick’s face gradually turned green, then turned red. But Rover was too right, so he could only swallow his anger.
At that moment, Nanoe spoke up. "If abilities can be used in this mission, then Nick is not a bad choice. Also, Morie might be able to help you."
Hearing Nanoe, Rover nodded. He didn’t know Nick’s situation, but since Nanoe said it, he would agree. After all, she was the brain of the group. Listening to her wouldn’t be a loss.
Besides, Morie could repair and modify defensive towers. Bringing her was the right call.
Nanoe continued, "Leng Yan is also a good candidate. As for the remaining two slots, I think I can take one."
Rover nodded, then looked at Leng Yan and Nick. "Any objections?"
Nick spoke up at once. "The last slot should go to me. Laura has a hair ability. She can use it to slow the monsters’ movement."
Rover nodded. He knew... this wasn’t the time to drag past conflicts out as an excuse to stir trouble. This was the time for everyone to unite and grow.
As long as they were alive, everything still had hope. Once they were dead, every hope vanished.
"Good." Rover smiled. "Then the participants for this mission will be: me, Nanoe, Morie, Leng Yan, Nick, and Laura. Tonight, exactly at 9 p.m., we’ll gather at the garage."
Everyone nodded, but Rover suddenly remembered something and hurriedly said, "Wait! After we leave, what if someone attacks our room?"
Leng Yan smiled. "Don’t worry. While we’re doing the mission, the door’s durability will be infinite."
"Ah!" Hearing that, Rover was genuinely surprised. Then he nodded and didn’t say anything else. Everyone began to leave and head back to their rooms.
Inside the room, Rover started preparing to join the first mission. He felt a bit uneasy, so he wanted to contact Dark Lord. However, Dark Lord seemed busy and didn’t pick up.
"Master!" Selina sat down beside him, her hand gently stroking his thigh. "If you’re worried, then use me. Let me help you worry less."
Rover chuckled. He tapped Selina lightly on the forehead, then caressed her face and smiled. "Don’t worry. It’s just a small mission. It won’t be able to stump me and everyone else. You stay here and be careful. Even though once I join the mission, the door’s durability will become infinite, we still need to be cautious."
Selina pouted and nodded softly. Suddenly, her hand moved to that place, and her breathing gradually grew faster.
"Master, let me help you..."
Hearing Selina, Rover nodded, wanting to "have some fun" to forget his worries for a bit.
She sat down between Rover’s legs and began using her tongue to provide a special service just for him.
"Master!" The bedroom door suddenly opened. Monica had just stepped inside when she froze, her face burning red. "Sorry, I..."
She saw Selina using her tongue on Rover’s thing, and that thing was pressed against Selina’s face. The pose was so stimulating that the hormone-laced scent alone almost made Monica faint.
But Rover waved at her, signaling for Monica to come in.
Even though Monica was embarrassed, she still came into the room in the end, carefully closed the door, then walked over to Selina and sat down between Rover’s legs.
Then...
....
9 p.m.
Rover, Morie, Nanoe, Leng Yan, Nick, and Laura gathered at the garage. Jonathan also arrived with five others. Among them were the Catgirl, Urlgun, and three more.
Those three were unfamiliar. Rover had never seen them before. They were likely the three Survivors Jonathan had recruited.
Seeing everyone gathered, Jonathan nodded at once and smiled. "Let’s go. We’ll take on this mission together. No one needs to worry. Although this mission is [Nightmare] difficulty, it’s a defense-type mission, so it won’t be too hard."
"I don’t care what conflicts we had before. Right now, I hope you can put everything aside, unite, and clear this mission together." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"If we complete the mission, everyone will get rewards, and it’ll be easier to survive in the next round. If we fail this mission, we... will all die. You understand what I’m saying, right?"
Everyone nodded, then followed Jonathan to Bus 312.
The bus looked completely ordinary, nothing special about it. Jonathan approached it and placed his invitation card against the electronic door handle.
At that moment, a mechanical voice sounded from the speaker built into the handle.
[Ding! Welcome to the happy bus. Please hold your invitation card forward.]
Jonathan raised the invitation card. A red beam scanned over it, and then the door opened.
Krit!
A cold gust poured out from inside the bus, making everyone shiver. But Jonathan wasn’t afraid. He stepped in immediately.
The others did the same, raising their invitations and entering the bus. After everyone was inside, the door shut.
At that moment, the LED display above showed a line of text: [Please wait a moment. The bus will depart for Asylum No. 02.]
Even though no one was in the driver’s seat, the bus suddenly started on its own, then slowly rolled out of the garage, out of the apartment complex, and into the fog.
The strange thing was... everyone tried to look outside through the bus windows, but the glass was filled with nothing but black. They couldn’t see anything at all.
In the end, everyone had no choice but to give up on observing the world inside the fog.
The bus drove for a long time, then stopped. Along with it came a cheerful horn jingle. But as that sound reached everyone’s ears, mixed with this gloomy, heavy atmosphere, it became so eerie it was terrifying.
[Ting! Ting! Ting! The bus has arrived at Asylum No. 02. Please disembark. Wish you all a pleasant trip. Hehehehe...]
