Infinite Job Transfers Starting from Mechanic-Chapter 1120 - 573: So It Was You!
The peculiar force about to be born in the Azure Star System, which Su Yu refers to as the "Ultimate Savior," can mutate infinitely, allowing life and even the universe to exist eternally.
In this way, there would no longer be the flaw of civilization decaying and going extinct. Wouldn’t that mean information can be produced indefinitely, equivalent to genuine "infinite information"?
However, after careful consideration, Su Yu feels something is still not right.
The information needed by the universe is not the monotonous and meaningless repetitive information like 123456789.
Otherwise, a planet’s various particle movements would generate incredible amounts of information, though not infinite, it’s still astonishing.
If such information were useful, the universe wouldn’t need life or civilization at all.
Obviously, the information generated by life and civilization has enough uniqueness.
Su Yu guesses that it must be sufficiently complex, unpredictable, and difficult to replicate.
This is what truly useful information is.
Within the Azure Star System, after being influenced by the "Ultimate Savior," life has undergone millions of mutations, long having lost its original form.
Forms, rationality, technology, knowledge, culture—all discarded through successive mutations.
Although they survived in the end, it’s hard to say if what’s left can even be considered life.
Can the collection of these things truly be called a "civilization," capable of producing the unique information the universe requires?
Probably not.
Even the opposite might be true: these lifeforms are of no use to the universe and their activities might ironically consume the universe’s energy, leading to increased entropy.
"So, this is a wrong path, at least for the universe."
"This mutative power might even infect other civilizations, depriving them of the ability to create information."
"Truly a disaster, no wonder the Primordial Universe discarded the Azure Star System..."
The more Su Yu thinks about it, the more he shakes his head at whatever Qi Chen and the Azure Universe have concocted.
At this thought, Su Yu again increased the power of the Holographic Perception to expedite absorbing the information from the Azure Star System, to get rid of this blight as soon as possible.
Since fusing with the Star Tower Terminal, the Holographic Perception has been upgrading constantly. Its signal strength and power are not static; it can enhance by an equivalent of a Level 6 Constant Star-level signal every once in a while.
That’s why Su Yu can enhance the power again.
However, the Seventh-level River System Level is simply too strong, equivalent to hundreds of billions of Constant Stars.
Even if the signal is boosted by one Constant Star level per second, it would take tens of thousands of years to double the signal strength and power of the Holographic Perception.
Overall, this increase is indeed negligible, but it’s better than nothing.
As Su Yu increased the signal power, the rate of extracting information from the Azure Star System slightly accelerated.
Su Yu tried to decipher the extracted information but couldn’t understand it.
These bits of information, extracted from the depths of the Azure Universe, appear to have undergone a kind of natural encryption and compression; Su Yu could only vaguely discern that these records detail the civilization development of the Azure Star System over the past millennia.
All the joys and sorrows of humanity, love and hate, are within it.
All past events have been faithfully recorded in the spatiotemporal framework of the Azure Star System, becoming part of the universe.
Now these records can be accessed and observed by Su Yu.
It was as if watching an incredibly grand movie, an epic saga spanning ten thousand years.
After extracting this "epic," Su Yu’s little universe seemed to acquire such historical richness, exuding an inexplicable ancient aura.
Then, an anomaly appeared in the Azure Star System!
Qi Chen’s figure suddenly appeared in the void of space, looking perplexed, seemingly searching for something.
It seemed Qi Chen had discovered the information was being extracted but couldn’t locate the source.
Seeing this, Su Yu promptly reduced the power of his Holographic Perception to avoid being detected by Qi Chen.
Qi Chen searched for a while, looking more and more anxious, clearly unable to find it.
His figure vanished again, whereabouts unknown.
Su Yu chuckled to himself, continuing to relentlessly extract information.
Previously, when Su Yu was in the Azure Star System, Qi Chen was always lurking behind the scenes, manipulating everything, treating everybody like pawns.
Su Yu suffered greatly at his hands then, conjuring the formidable enemy Pain Evil God, nearly dying there.
That was truly dying without knowing how it happened.
Now, it’s Su Yu’s turn to stir behind the scenes, and Qi Chen can’t figure out who’s responsible—how the tables have turned.
"But how did Qi Chen manage to notice?"
Su Yu pondered this question while keeping an eye on the situation in the Azure Star System.
Why was Qi Chen able to detect the extraction of information?
Moreover, the Cosmic Undead on the Nameless Battleship previously told Su Yu that information is the most valuable currency in the universe and must not be leaked.
But why can’t information be leaked?
Although Su Yu extracted information from the Azure Star System, it’s merely a partial "copy" with the Azure Star System still retaining a copy.
There seems to be no loss at all, so why must it not be leaked?
Just like a book or a movie, which can be viewed by thousands, the myriad viewings have no impact on their content. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
But now it seems there is an impact.
When the "book" of the universe is looked at by others, there is indeed a loss.
So what loss is there?
Su Yu doesn’t quite understand.
His time owning the little universe has been short, and he doesn’t fully understand many of its secrets.
But it doesn’t matter, he has the Azure Star System as a reference.
He wants to see what changes prolonged extraction from the Azure Star System will bring about.
As such, Su Yu wasn’t sure how long he extracted information from the Azure Star System.
Finally, Su Yu noticed some changes.
He found that as the Holographic Perception continued extracting, the information once inherent to the Azure Star System started to become chaotic.
It was as if a book being looked at by too many people, its pages turning yellow, the words becoming blurred.
If things keep going at this rate, the Azure Star System will eventually lose all these details entirely, fully plundered by Su Yu.
"I see now, when the universe’s ’book’ is read by others, the words on the pages are lost..."
Su Yu thought to himself, finally understanding.
Of course, a universe is still different from a book.
Pages of a book suffer wear when flipped through.
But a universe should not.
The reason the Azure Star System is losing this information, Su Yu suspects, involves the "uniqueness of information."
This information is unique to the Azure Star System, created by its civilization.
They are one of a kind; in any other time-space or universe, there isn’t another copy.
But now, as Su Yu extracts it, the information ceases to be unique.
Under some governing principle, the information from the Azure Star System begins to vanish, transferring to Su Yu, thereby regaining uniqueness.
"So it seems, if I keep extracting like this, I can truly drain the Azure Universe dry..."
Su Yu thought to himself.
Since the information is unique, there isn’t a need to confront Qi Chen directly; he can just use the Holographic Perception to drain the opposition!
Just as Su Yu decided on this course of action, suddenly, within the extracted information, he spotted a line of text with no encryption at all.
The letters were blood-soaked, brimming with an astounding ferocity and rage: "So it’s you! Su Yu!"
