Chapter 5078: The Silurian Light II

His arms spread wide.

"But even that is not the full extent of what this Pulse permits. With sufficient power and precision, one can target not merely actions but the Civilization that enabled those actions. Everything that Civilization stood for, every principle it embodied, every change it wrought upon existence through its expression, all of it can be unmade. The framework that supported a being’s power collapses, and everything built upon that framework collapses with it."

His voice dropped lower.

"And if one is killed thoroughly enough with THE Silurian Light, if the erasure is complete and absolute, then something even more terrible occurs."

He paused for effect that seemed almost theatrical.

"Your entire existence becomes forgotten. Those who knew you find that they cannot recall your face. Those who loved you discover that love directed toward emptiness they cannot explain. Those who hated you find their hatred dissolved into confusion about what, exactly, they were hating."

His pale fires burned with intensity that exceeded anything they had displayed before.

"Only the one who erased you remembers. Only the wielder of THE Silurian Light retains knowledge of what was unmade. They become the sole repository of your existence, the only being in all of Observable Existence who knows that you ever were."

He smiled beneath that wolf skull helm.

"That is the power that true Proterozoic Scale entities can wield. That is why your Naldine does not wish for you to face me. Not because I might kill you. Because I might erase you so thoroughly that even your precious Infinity cannot recall what it once flowed through."

...!

BOOM!

After Grimvault finished echoing out such terrifying words, Noah and THE Primordial Paradox looked over with somber eyes.

Naldine grasped her instrument tightly, her fingers pressing against strings that had ceased producing sound. Her expression declared that everything Grimvault had described was true, that this was not intimidation but simple statement of capability he possessed and would use without hesitation.

Noah processed the implications with the enhanced clarity THE Hadean Mind of Infinite Calculation from Ozymandias provided.

Everything he had done erased. The Pluvial Epoch of Existential Infinity reversed, those transformed seas and falling rains simply ceasing to exist because the one who created them had been unraveled from causality. THE Infiniverse returned to whatever state it had occupied before he touched it, all those Civilizational advancements unmade, all those bodies he had cultivated dissolved into potential that had never been actualized.

His connection with Eon severed retroactively, that Quintessence Infiniforce bond never forming because he had never existed to place it within her. The Observable force flooding into him ceasing to flow because there was no him for it to flow into.

Eon...she should be capable of something like this, but she never threatened to do this. Why?

Many things would unfold!

Alexander still tortured and still broken.

THE Primordial Mycelia still alive, still spreading, still consuming everything it touched because the one who stopped it had been unmade before the stopping could occur.

Everything he had accomplished across his journey through Observable Existence simply gone, unraveled, forgotten by all except the one who held the fire that burned away causality itself.

It was a truly terrifying capability.

After the terrifying words of Grimvault, Noah gazed up at him fearlessly.

His expression held none of the concern that THE Silurian Light should have provoked. He had just been told that his entire existence could be unraveled, that everything he had accomplished across Observable Existence could be undone as if he had never existed to accomplish it. Yet his eyes remained steady, his posture remained composed, his presence continued pressing against Grimvault’s authority with defiance that refused to acknowledge the gap between their capabilities.

"So... theoretically, if you were burnt and collapsed with THE Silurian Light, even that Aryana I have never met and all others you collapsed before would return as if you never existed to do that in the first place?"

...!

His reply was a ridiculous one.

Grimvault smiled brutally beneath that wolf skull helm, those pale fires flickering with amusement that seemed almost appreciative of the audacity being displayed before him. The question Noah had asked was not born from fear or desperation. It was calculation!

He looked between Noah and Naldine with gaze that held mockery beneath its apparent consideration.

"It is something you cannot defend against."

His deep voice pressed against everything within range.

"To do so, you would need another Pulse. As much as I would have no issue utilizing such a thing on you, there are still many unknowns and uncertainties about you. Unraveling you with THE Silurian Light could have many unexpected effects, with changes occurring throughout Observable Existence that even I cannot predict."

He paused, those pale fires dimming slightly.

"So I have caution within me. But it does not mean I will not throw this caution to the wind and do what I must if push comes to shove."

His wolf skull helm tilted forward.

"This is your last chance of Diplomacy. The one whose name you spoke of has not spoken of you just yet, and I would rather wait for directives before making permanent moves myself."

His smile widened beneath that helm as he spoke the final words with deliberate slowness that seemed designed to antagonize.

"What. Will. It. Be...Little Bundle..."

The mockery pressed against Noah’s awareness.

"Of."

Each word landing like a blow intended to provoke!

"Infinity?"

...!

Little Bundle of Infinity!

Oh!

The final sentence was mocking and cruel, every syllable uttered slowly alongside Grimvault’s brutal smile. It was meant to antagonize, to remind Noah of what he was in the eyes of beings who had existed since before most current powers learned to crawl. A little bundle. A curiosity. Something to be studied and perhaps unmade if it proved too troublesome to preserve.

Off to the side, THE Primordial Paradox rolled up his nonexistent sleeves as he if was ready to throw down!

Who did this fucker think he was?!
