Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1086: Powering up
With each encounter, Rain and his allies would have to adapt, finding new ways to bridge the gap in strength. It was a difficult task, but it was the only course of action available to them. As much as Seadrei wanted to walk toward caution, the reality demanded a proactive stance. Hiding away might offer temporary safety, but it wouldn't guarantee the long-term security of their world.
"I agree with you, but with that in mind, we will have to push ourselves much more than before between the missions…" Seadrei said. "We will have to train brutally every single day and spar with each other. You can show your memories, right? Using your domain. I want you to show them to everyone in the headquarters to make them all understand this."
Rain agreed with that… even though they had been working and training hard, they would need more to even the field a bit. That enemy they faced could have wiped out their entire force if he had worked with the monsters. They were lucky that Rain used his head and used something against the enemy that he wasn't used to. Still, that won't work forever.
"You have a point… still, just punching ourselves every day with intention won't solve anything," Rain said. "Do you have a more concrete idea?"
"I will try to come up with it eventually, and you can leave that to me," Seadrei declared.
Rain nodded… that was for the best.
As Rain thought about Seadrei's call for rigorous training and preparation, a memory flashed through his mind—the image of the raging phoenix, his last army that was found with him until the end. In the span of a few years, they had evolved into the most formidable force outside the dragons' realm.
The key to their strength lay not only in Rain's method of raising them but also in their knowledge of his secret techniques.
Recalling the success of the raging phoenix, Rain began to consider the idea of creating a force akin to that once again. Perhaps, by instilling his knowledge and techniques into a new generation, they could rapidly enhance their capabilities within a shorter period of time.
It had worked before, and revisiting such a strategy might be the solution to speed up their growth and face the approaching threats more effectively.
With this realization, Rain found a glimmer of hope—a strategic approach that could potentially level the playing field against the overwhelming power of their adversaries. However, he also had another idea… and he began to work on it.
Level 100: Scribe Sovereign - Attain the illustrious rank of Sovereign, transcending mortal limits, becoming a living embodiment of magical potential, able to reshape the world with immense arcane authority. You can use the runes with a decreased cost of twenty points per level.
Level 100: Sage's Ascendancy - Achieve the pinnacle of wisdom and power, unlocking the full potential of your mana and wisdom and gaining access to the full power of the abilities of the Sage's Path. + 03% percent effectiveness when using magic per level.
Level 100: Grand Healer - Ascends to the pinnacle of healing mastery, embodying the essence of divine healing and becoming an instrument of miraculous restoration and rejuvenation. + 02% healing effectiveness when using healing arts of this path.
Level 100: Stealth - Skill in moving silently, remaining hidden, and blending into the surroundings. Decreases the chance of being found by enemies by one percent per level when not doing anything.
Now that Rain thought about it. He truly didn't have many paths that he had mastered… he wondered if he had been slacking off or his focus was all over the place. Regardless, he created some relics with the help of Maxime and infused the knowledge of those skills in the relics… now people wearing the rings would be able to use them and level up quite fast.
Stealth was something that his kids had already mastered. Still, the other skills weren't something that they truly had learned… they also stopped leveling up most of their paths when they reached level fifty. In any case, he gave copies of those three to them.
"This should help you guys a bit," Rain said. "Just infusing your mana in the rings will be enough to make you essentially trade mana for experience in those skills and the path they are on."
"I guess we need all the help we can get from now on," Danny said furrowed his eyebrows.
"I will make them for everyone… eventually," Rain said.
"I think it would be much better if you were to use all this to enhance your own strength, Dad," Annie said while scratching the back of her head. "Aside from Sealyn, only you dared fight that thing at close range."
"You guys attacked, too," Rain said. "Besides, we have to split the work."
Sealyn looked like she had a few things to say, too, but she didn't have the chance to say it because they received a report from headquarters; Isa's group had found the end of the hole and found the place where the ore was being mined.
Seeing the urgency in the situation, Rain decided to address Sealyn's concerns later as they received a crucial report from the headquarters. Sakaki relayed the information that they were situated at the center of the planet, and a significant portion of it was composed of that ore.
Rain, Sakaki, and the others at the headquarters were now confronted with the challenge of extracting the valuable ores without causing irreparable harm to the planet. The information raised concerns about the long-term effects on the stability of the world they were investigating.
The delicate balance of planetary forces and the potential repercussions of meddling with the core required careful consideration.
As the team processed this information, they needed to devise a strategy that would allow them to obtain valuable resources while minimizing the impact on the planet's structural integrity. They didn't want to become like their enemies…
