Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1547: The goal
Chapter 1547: The goal
Rain kept absorbing the power of the aspect of time, but weirdly enough, no changes appeared in his own body. It almost looked like he had become just a storage of data as well.

"Impressive, truly impressive. I was imagining that you would only be able to weaken him, but to think that you surpassed him despite being weaker and exhausted, I am truly impressed."
The dragon god form quickly began to take shape in that world as if he had been there from the very beginning... Since the Temporal Path had been updated, he obtained all of the skills of it as well and soon started to feel their power as he made them level up.
"I almost messed up by trying to kill the other time. I guess we were both lucky that I was going easy on you. Keeping an eye on this whole time was truly very useful."
The dragon god sure sounded relaxed, and he talked as if Rain was hearing everything. After reaching this far, it was hard to imagine that he would fall by his own attack, but it looked like that would be the case as more time passed.
"Come on, you can’t fool me. I am willing to treat you like a real opponent, so do you really think that you will fool me?" The dragon god asked, and then his body began to shrink.
The transformation of the dragon god was quite weird if anything. From the fearsome hydra form, it morphed into a humanoid figure. But this was no ordinary human appearance. The dragon god now possessed golden hair that seemed to shimmer with its own light and eyes of the same color that glowed with an otherworldly radiance. Despite the human guise, its presence remained distinctly non-human, exuding an aura of power and ancient wisdom.
Showing human attire, a casual jacket, jeans, and sneakers, the dragon god’s transformation was both confusing and surreal. It stood before him, a fusion of human and divine, embodying a form that defied conventional understanding.
"As expected, I won’t feel satisfied defeating you with a sneaky attack," Rain said after he suddenly opened his eyes. "My pride wouldn’t allow that."
"So, you do understand, that is why I came for you first instead of attacking your friends and Fortus," The dragon god said. "In any case, before anything, let’s talk a little bit." freewebnøvel.coɱ
"No, let’s punch each other to death. That is better," Rain said. "No matter what happens, we will never be able to see each other eye to eye."
"Don’t be like that. You don’t want to dance at the palm of his hands, do you?" The dragon god asked. "You should have realized by now that the overseer is the reason why we are here. He used both of us as test subjects. He also used a bunch of others over the years, but they didn’t reach the potential that he wanted. Only we did it."
Rain went silent for a moment... the second time he talked with the overseer, he said that he didn’t know who was the being who reincarnated him and the dragon god. However, after seeing the power of the machine gods and the fact that the system had some of their knowledge, it became clear that the overseer was hiding something... the fact that the dragon god was planning to get on revenge on someone who wasn’t from Earth, but he knew already also added to solve the mystery.
"I am one hundred percent sure that the overseer was also the one who gave birth to the machine gods," the dragon god said. "All in order to eventually make them face someone who would fight and triumph over them and eventually obtain all of their knowledge and powers. Imagine someone like that with all that knowledge, what could that someone become?"
"A guy who has too much time on their hands," Rain said.
"... The closest being to a god," The dragon god said. "A real god. With the power of the aspect of time and the knowledge to use all of mana and energy throughout one’s existence, there is nothing that can’t be accomplished. The power of the other aspects is just to complete that power to grant you the power to do anything, to create anything. The overseer wanted someone to be born to be able to use the aspects freely and creatively, much better than the machine gods. Eventually, he would try to get the perfect body for himself."
