Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage-Chapter 281 - : Primordial Titan
Orson furrowed his brows, hesitating to jump to conclusions. The Heaven Demons came in countless forms, and just because these creatures resembled them didn’t necessarily mean they were connected. It wasn’t enough evidence.
For now, the swarm of corpse insects didn’t seem particularly interested in him. They were still following the programmed cycle of the Monster Siege Event, continuously pouring out from the rift in waves.
However, the Level 50 Lord-Class Bosses reacted differently. The moment they noticed his presence, they did something highly unusual—they fled. Instead of engaging in battle like mindless monsters, they scurried deep into their insect tunnels and refused to emerge.
That… was strange.
These boss monsters weren’t just acting on instinct. They showed intelligence, even more than standard boss-level enemies.
Typically, elite bosses attacked players on sight without hesitation. They never retreated of their own accord.
But after Orson’s Wild Gale Rainstorm AoE bombardment slaughtered several Domain-Level Corpse Kings, the remaining ones seemed to recognize the overwhelming threat and avoided combat entirely.
Orson finished off a few more half-dead bosses, cleaning up the battlefield.
"You have obtained Skill Book x12."
"You have obtained 1,102 gold coins."
"You have obtained Epic-Grade Armor x11."
"You have obtained Legendary-Grade Armor x3."
…
The Monster Siege Event came with a small boost to loot drops, and this cleanup had been ridiculously profitable.
Among the loot were high-tier Level 50 armor sets, including the "Cursed Corpse King - Frenzied" Archer Set, a three-piece gear set with an awakened skill called Frenzied Toxin, which inflicted high poison damage with each attack.
Given the current market value, this set alone was worth at least 80,000 gold—and if he had also looted the matching weapon, it would have been worth even more.
Then, a thought struck Orson.
"If this is the corpse of a Primordial Titan… then what about the Titan’s Eye?"
His heart skipped a beat.
The Titan’s Eye—a divine artifact essential for awakening Chaos Overlord. Could it actually be here?
Without hesitation, Orson soared into the sky for a better vantage point, carefully scanning the terrain below.
His brows furrowed.
The Primordial Titan’s upper body had been shattered, leaving its head fragmented into multiple floating islands.
If he wanted to search for something here, it wouldn’t be easy. The sheer size of the Titan’s remains was staggering.
Just as he was strategizing his next move—
"Global Announcement: Player Orgod has ventured into the source of the abyssal creatures. The gods lament his unpredictable fate, uncertain whether it will bring fortune or doom."
"Global Announcement..."
"Global Announcement..."
Orson froze.
Three global system notifications in quick succession.
The realization hit him like a thunderbolt.
"…Are you f*cking kidding me?!"
Everyone knew that Infinite Dimensions only issued global announcements when a player or guild triggered a world-shaking event.
And this?
This was practically a loudspeaker advertisement, broadcasting to every single top player in the world that Orgod had found something valuable—and they should hurry up and try to take it from him!
"This game system is absolutely insane!"
Orson’s face darkened.
But while he was pissed off, there was no denying what this meant—
He was definitely in the right place.
This wasn’t just the monster spawning grounds.
There was something much bigger here.
Orson’s gaze sharpened, his killing intent surging.
"Fine. If you’re coming for me—then come. Let’s see who survives."
He would set up ambushes in advance.
Anyone who dared to challenge him would die.
If they came alone, they would die alone.

If they came in pairs, they would die as a duo.
Since it was a global announcement, it was guaranteed that top players from every major region would come running.
But to Orson?
They were all just walking loot bags.
Each one of them was a fat, juicy target waiting to be ripped apart.
With that in mind, Orson urged Crimson Lizard King forward, heading toward the Titan’s upper remains.
He needed to figure out what was truly here—and whether the Titan’s Eye existed.
After about half an hour of flight, he noticed a change in the terrain.
The white fungal forests that covered most of the Titan’s corpse were becoming less dense.
Instead, his view was now dominated by gigantic gray bone formations, towering like mountain peaks.
Orson was stunned.
From a high-altitude perspective, it was impossible to truly grasp the scale of this corpse.
But now, flying closer to the surface, he realized—
Even one broken island of this Titan’s remains was as large as an entire major city.
The power that a Primordial Titan must have possessed in life… was beyond terrifying.
And yet—
Something had managed to kill it.
Something had been strong enough to slay a godlike being and shatter its body into pieces. Continue your adventure at novelbuddy
What kind of unimaginable horror could have done such a thing?
DING!
A system alert interrupted his thoughts.
"Warning: The creatures ahead are abnormally violent. Leave immediately!"
Orson blinked.
On his mini-map, red lights began flashing.
All of the floating corpse islands had turned deep crimson, indicating extreme danger levels.
But instead of retreating, Orson looked up.
Above him, countless space rifts shimmered among the stars, fractures in reality itself.
It didn’t take much to guess—these spatial rifts were portals to different server regions.
And then—
A private message popped up.
Naoko: "You there?"
Orson arched a brow. He didn’t respond immediately, but when he did, his tone was annoyed.
Orson: "What, did you think I died already?"
Naoko: "Nonsense! You’re the undefeated Sorcerer of the US. As you Americans say—’the heavens bless the strong.’ Of course, you wouldn’t die so meaninglessly."
She didn’t use a translator this time—just her own weird, slightly broken English.
Orson sighed.
"Dying so meaninglessly… Who the hell taught you English? I suggest firing them immediately."
Naoko giggled.
"I’m almost inside the Abyssal Rift. Thought you could use a hand. I’ll back you up."
Orson smirked.
Naoko wasn’t the type to do favors for free.
Rather than helping, she was looking to get a cut of the profits.
Not that he minded.
He didn’t expose her intentions, simply responding coldly—
"Fine. 90-10 split. Take it or leave it."
A blatantly unfair deal—he’d take 90%, she’d get 10%.
Yet, without hesitation, Naoko laughed and replied—
"What’s mine is yours. I don’t care. As long as I can follow you, that’s enough."
