Chapter 25 - Getting Temi A Car

Jayden spent the whole Sunday with Temi in his house. This somewhat difficult nurse he had known had now turned into a soft, free girl, and she couldn't stay a moment without Jayden.

Jayden himself was amazed, but what could he do?

He was now even her boyfriend, legally, after her proposal, and even though he saw it as a slight burden, he couldn't help it.

...

On Monday morning, he prepared to go to the Zintech Automobile office to finalise the deal with them.

Temi had finally agreed to let him go for a while, as she had also set out to make good use of the money Jayden had given her.

They both had planned a good business idea for her with a capital of $750,000.

Temi would be establishing a clothing brand, with the name suggested by Jayden:

ESTER.

Temi agreed fully with the name, and then it was left to carry on with the establishment. Jayden had already contacted some business planners to join her, making sure she wasn't alone, even though he wouldn't be entirely there to assist her.

"I will call as soon as I can to check up on you," Jayden said and kissed her on the forehead.

Temi nodded as she clenched her lips, blushing.

He halted at the door as if he had forgotten something, and then turned.

"What dress are you wearing though?" Jayden asked.

"A blue dress. It's my best. Why?" Temi asked.

"Nah, nothing really. Just wanna know what my woman is wearing today," Jayden smiled before walking out.

Temi couldn't help but blush as she smiled back, watching him leave.

When Jayden left, she also went ahead to get prepared. She wanted to be quick enough so she could return home before Jayden to prepare lunch.

Putting on the sleek sapphire-blue midi dress with a tailored fit and a subtle belt—perfect for a poised and powerful business look—she headed out of the room, carrying a portable white handbag.

By the time she reached the gate, she quickly spotted a pale-skinned man approaching her.

The man was dressed in a black suit and had a car key in his hand, his face bright as he came forward.

"Good day, ma'am," he greeted.

"Good day," Temi replied.

"Uhm... Here," the man then extended the key towards Temi, making her freeze at once.

"What? Why?"

"Mr. Jayden Cole already paid for that car over there, and he said I should give the keys to the lady that comes out of this building, wearing a blue dress."

"What the... Jayden... Oh my God!" Temi couldn't help the joy that ran through her veins.

"I'm pretty sure it's you... So... Have it," the man handed the key over to her with a smile.

Temi collected the keys with one hand, covering her mouth with the other.

Again, she wasn't expecting something like this...

She kept wondering why Jayden was doing this, but at the same time, she judged that he was just capable enough.

"Oh my God... Oh my..."

Without hesitation, she quickly rushed to the car parked at the side.

It was a Lamborghini Aventador S, a supercar worth over $600,000!

In a rush powered by her excitement, she pressed a button on the key fob, opening the door and quickly jumping in.

Thanks to the fact that she wasn't a novice at driving cars... at least, even though she'd never driven an expensive car like this, she wouldn't be entirely bad at driving it.

She started the car without thinking twice, dying to give it the very first test.

VROOOOOOMMMM!!!

The next moment, the car roared hard, making almost everyone turn in that direction. In this part of the city where Jayden lived, no one had such a car.

Now the people around couldn't be more surprised... First, it was a McLaren Sabre, and now a Lamborghini???

RAHHHHHHHH!

"Drive safe!" the man shouted as he watched Temi zoom off the scene with a prideful look, like a queen on top of the world.

Jayden arrived at the Zintech Automobile office by 10:30 AM, a building located in the main city of Cloudbridge.

It was a skyscraper of seemingly nine floors with several security officers standing here and there. Jayden didn't mind parking in the parking lot and just left his car at a safe side before the main building arena.

If no one had seen him drive the car there, they wouldn't know he came with a car.

That was actually what he wanted in the first place.

The security men didn't question him much before sending him to the receptionist at the counter.

The receptionist was a young lady dressed in a white suit and having long brown hair.

"Welcome to Zintech Automobile, sir. How may I help you?" she quickly greeted the moment he approached her.

"I want to see the Ambassador," he said.

The receptionist gave him a once-over, her smile thinning just a little. "May I have your name?"

"Jayden. Jayden Cole."

She began typing into her system, but before she could respond, a sharp voice sliced through the calm of the lobby.

"Oh my God... You?"

Jayden turned. Standing a few steps away in high heels and a designer coat was Lynna Hartley, Sofia's mother. Her face twisted into a sneer the moment she recognized him.

"What's a poor brat like you doing here?" she asked loud enough for nearby staff and visitors to hear.

Jayden remained silent, his hands slipping calmly into his pockets.

"You think just because you've got a suit on, you belong here?" Lynna laughed. "This isn't your level, boy. This is Zintech. Sofia was better off the moment she left you."

Jayden got hit hard by those words but only shook his head.

"What do you want from me, Mrs. Lynna?" he asked with a bold voice, though calm.

Lynna stepped closer, her heels clicking sharply on the marble floor.

"You don't belong here. In fact, I could have security drag you out in five seconds. You're nothing but an intruder..."

"Is there a problem here?"

The firm, composed voice came from the hallway behind the glass wall. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

At that instant, everyone turned in the direction of the voice.

Sabrina Jonah, tall and poised in a navy skirt suit, stepped forward. Her presence was enough to make everyone freeze.

Lynna spun around, her mouth halfway open.

Sabrina's eyes met Jayden's, and a warm smile appeared on her face.

Lynna was just about to report Jayden to the Ambassador, but the moment she sensed her approach towards him, she froze.

"Mr. Cole," she said, stepping forward and offering her hand. "I'm so glad you could make it."

Jayden shook her hand confidently, while everyone around, including the three security men who had started approaching, looked on, stunned.

"Let's head upstairs," Sabrina continued. "The final documents are ready for your signature. Zintech's new Chairman shouldn't be kept waiting."

Jayden gave a slight nod, catching the frozen expression on Lynna's face as he walked past her.

'New Chairman of Zintech? How???'

Lynna questioned inwardly as she stared in awe, watching the Grand Ambassador lead Jayden Cole, the poor brat she once knew, to the office.

That was part of the shock, but there was another sensation she felt behind it...

Fear.

Because clearly...

Lynna already knew she was in trouble.
