During this time, quite a number of changes had happened.

Starting things off with Annex supermarket chain, it had managed to solidify its position as the biggest supermarket chain within the eastern province.

Of course, it was almost impossible for the supermarket chain to become a monopoly, still, it dominated most of the market.

Damian, with the skills that he possessed, had managed to make sure that the development of the supermarket chain was not much affected.

By now, business was already flourishing, and they had already dealt with all types of competitions within the Eastern province.

Additionally, the supermarket chain had finally opened a few branches within the Southern province. Still, there was quite a lot of competition from there.

The Southern province was the third largest province within Troprazan nation, ranked ahead of the Eastern province in terms of development.

There was already an established supermarket chain within the Southern province, which was giving annex supermarket chain quite some competition.

But even then, considering all the resources that Damian could mobilize, and the skills that he possessed, it was only a matter of time before they finally conquered the southern province.

So, for this matter, Michael was not the least bit worried about it.

On the other hand, Starlight restaurant chain had already dominated the eastern province as well. Quite a number of branches had already been opened, and not a few five star hotels had no choice but to close down.

The competition was just too much. After all, not to mention the fact that the dishes prepared by Starlight Restaurant chain were delicious, they were also cheap.

Simply put, the types of dishes within Starlight Restaurant varied, to the extent that they could match people from all economy classes.

The first one was obviously them trying to use money in order to buy out Starlight restaurant, just as it began expanding within the eastern province.

Unfortunately, since Michael had no intention of selling the restaurant, it was impossible for them to buy. And considering that starlight restaurant had not gone public, it was impossible for them to use the stock market to acquire the shares.

Due to the fact that starlight restaurant chain was private, those rivals had no other choice but to use other tactics in order to deal with it.

Since they could not affect it through the stock market, they tried sabotaging it by stealing the recipes of different dishes.

Unfortunately, no matter how many times they planned, they realized that they could not get the recipes. Most of the time, the recipes that they found were actually fake.

And those that attempted to use those recipes ended up messing big time. Considering that Benjamin had expert level chef skills, it was easy for him to be able to alter the recipe.

Just a single change, and the dish would turn into something else. The appearance was still the same, and so was the aroma. Unfortunately, the consequence of taking those dishes was diarrhea.

And, for this side effect to kick in, it usually took quite a while. So, it was only after some time that people realized that it was only after they had eaten in those restaurants that they would have diarrhea.

With many people lodging complaints, the government had no other choice but to get involved. So, those who had stolen the recipes ended up having to pay huge fines, and some had their businesses completely closed down.

The other method that the others used was to target the one behind Starlight Restaurant chain.

The first attempt was to abduct Benjamin, which ended up failing. As a bio human, it was expected that Benjamin had incredible fighting skills, not to mention the adaptive lattice armor that Michael had bought for him.

As a result, those that attempted to kidnap Benjamin ended up suffering, before they were taken to the station.

Then, there was an attempt on old John and the other kids from the orphanage. Unfortunately for those that attempted, they were dealt with by the shadow guard bio humans.

When Michael heard of this attempt, he was infuriated. So, he swiftly dealt with those behind this, though not directly.

Instead, he exposed all the dirty secrets on them, sending them to jail.

By now, Michael was pretty sure that there was quite a number of people that could already link who was behind the exposure of those secrets online.

As long as they could investigate, they would be able to tell that Michael was the owner of both Annex Supermarket chain and Starlight Restaurant chain.

And those that had been exposed online, apart from gangsters, they were actually competitors.

This was something that Michael knew would be inevitable. But until now, nobody had become to bother him, which was a relief.

Regardless, ever since the failed attempt of kidnapping either Benjamin or all John and the others, all the competitors were either dealt with, or they gave up.

So, some of them decided to change the industry that they were getting involved in, while others actively sold their hotels or restaurants to Starlight restaurant chain.

This was the reason why it was easy for Starlight restaurant chain to be able to spread within the eastern province.

By now, Benjamin had already begun making plans of spreading to the other provinces, before finally shifting attention to the central province.

Then, there was Vanguard Corporation. During all this while, it had actually not made any huge waves, apart from recruiting quite a number of employees.

Some of the employees were mercenaries, others that had participated in underground boxing, or even professional fighters.

All of these were recruited, being part of the plan that Michael had.

Apart from the recruitment that attracted quite some attention, nothing else had happened. Of course, that was on the surface.

But those that knew the inside information, they knew that those that had been recruited were undergoing intense training.

The training involved both theory and combat. Those that had been recruited, before even they received the recruitment letter, their backgrounds had already been investigated.

And more than just the background, their character had also undergone rigorous investigation, before they finally made it to the training camp of Vanguard Corporation.

This new batch that was recruited was going to be the first one to implement the plan that Michael had.

Currently, Vanguard Corporation was already an international security firm. It had already spread to several nations, and as expected, there was quite some competition.

The plan that Michael had was to dominate the entire security firm. So, he was planning on kicking the other security firms out of the market.

And how to do that, the first one was of course quality of service. As long as those that provided the service were qualified enough, who would not want to hire them?

The second one was obviously the cost of acquiring the services. According to Michael’s plan, it was going to depend on the type of service that was needed.

Each service would be cost effective, making it so that many people could afford it, though, if it was something that involved risking the lives of those involved, the price would obviously be higher.

But in any case, the cost wasn’t really an issue, considering that for those risky things like protecting a person who was being targeted, it was mainly for the rich. In normal situations, it was not that easy for an ordinary person to be targeted.

In most occasions, by the time that an ordinary person came to know that they had been targeted, they would have already been dealt with.

Regardless, the training would take quite a while. That was after all about training people in terms of both combat and theory. Nobody would expect those that had been recruited to be able to improve within just a matter of a few days.

Leaving that aside, the company under Michael that had made the biggest waves was none other than Sky technologies.

By now, it was already considered as a competitor by those technological giants from the central province.

The rate at which Sky Technologies was releasing new devices that were more advanced than those in the market was incredible.

So, by now, they had already stolen quite a big share of the market, leading to those giant companies to start focusing on Sky Technologies.

In fact, there was even an attempt by one of the huge companies, if not the biggest technological company, Nexel technologies, to acquire sky technologies.

They wanted to acquire Sky Technologies at a high price, above the estimated market value, so that it could be a subsidiary of Nexel technologies.

This was something that had only happened recently, and Adrian had already responded, as it was impossible to sell sky technologies.

And the main source of the attraction of attention for Sky Technologies was the product that they had just launched a week ago.
