Information to Mastery: Points Store System-Chapter 256: You Are a Mutant?

Everything had happened so fast that by the time that Alex and the others registered the events, Michael was already holding Brian by the throat.

And, the group was left shocked by Michael’s strength, as Michael was already lifting up Brian with just one hand around Brian’s neck.

Even though they had interacted with Michael before, none of them had really anticipated that Michael was this strong. Previously, when he fought against Kevin’s lackeys, he had not demonstrated such capabilities.

But now, they finally began getting a deeper understanding of Michael’s capabilities. It seemed, all this while, Michael had been keeping a low profile.

And as they thought about this, they could not help but feel admiration towards him. After all, if they had been the one in Michael’s position, not many of them could guarantee that they would have done the same.

Most probably, they would have already shown off, basking in the glory that could be brought with such capabilities.

But in the minds of a few of them, there was the question, just who was Michael? After all, for him to demonstrate such capabilities at such a young age, it was baffling.

If it was just a matter of driving skills, maybe one could say that he had incredible talent in that, and he had been training since he was young.

But, it was a different matter when it came to combining different skills into one person. Extremely skilled in driving, marksmanship, fighting, and even at playing golf.

No matter what, it was impossible for anyone to believe that such skills were possessed by one person, and that person was just a teenager.

Despite what they were thinking about, they all thought of one thing, that was, it was good that they were not enemies. If they had been enemies with a monster like this, how despairing would it be?

While the group was still thinking about that, Michael on the other hand focused on Brian.

For the time being, he was not really sure what Brian would have done to Alex and the others if he had not arrived. But even then, it was clear that they would not have had a good time here.

Just by looking at them, one could easily see the injuries that they had suffered under the hands of the underlings brought by Hudson.

"It seems that if I allow you to continue roaming around here, you might just cause some unnecessary problems." Michael spoke for a moment, thinking about what to do next.

Since he had already decided that he was going to eliminate the blood reapers syndicate, then dealing with Brian would not be much of a problem.

It was just that, killing Brian here would not be the best idea. While he might be able to deal with the surveillance footage or anything like that, but still, it could cause some problems, no matter how small.

Additionally, Alex and the others were present. Not many of them had seen the ruthless side of life. So, if Michael killed someone in front of them, most probably, quite a number of them would be affected, and they might even have nightmares about this.

Additionally, there was a possibility that someone might end up talking about this issue outside. While it could not cause him much of a problem, it might eventually affect those close to him.

People like John, Rebecca, and the others from the orphanage from Drenn city, they did not have abilities like the bio humans. While he had already sent a group of bio humans to protect them, it was not foolproof.

And, it was impossible for Michael to give them the ADLA like the bio humans, as that would risk exposing the system.

After thinking for a moment, Michael threw Bran on the couch, who immediately began coughing. At the same time, he took huge gulps of air, while looking at Michael with eyes filled with horror.

Previously, when he came to deal with the issue of the acquisition of sky technologies, he had never really anticipated such a result.

When he met with Michael, he had only thought of him as someone with some background. But now, it was clear, he was not that simple.

It took him quite a while to be able to recover, but the moment that he did, he pointed at Michael with a shaky finger while stuttering, "Y-you... You’re a m-mutant? H-how is it possible for...a m-mutant to b-be here?"

Upon hearing Brian’s words, Michael frowned a little. Previously, when he was saving Marion, the leader of the group that he had dealt with had also mentioned something about mutants.

Michael had decided that he would do the investigation regarding the mutants when he went back. But after Marion brought up the issue regarding his parents, Michael eventually forgot about it.

But now that Brian had mentioned it, Michael realized that there was something deeper about it. So, it seemed that he would need to get to the bottom of this as soon as possible.

He really did not like the feeling of being referred to as ’something’, while he was completely clueless about what that ’something’ was.

"What do you know about mutants? Speak. If you don’t, I will just end you right now." Michael spoke in a cold tone.

"I-I k-know nothing ab-about mutants!" Brian quickly exclaimed, as though he had realized that he had misspoke.

Judging by the expression on his face, Michael realized that it seemed that the information regarding mutants was something that was hidden. It was no wonder that in his 18 years of life, he had never really heard of mutants.

Regardless, today, he had to get the information that he wanted.

At the moment, Onyx was already busy collecting the information regarding mutants. This was due to the previous instruction that he had given Onyx, in such a way that, in case he said something or something was mentioned that he was clueless about, Onyx would immediately look for information about it.

But apart from the information from Onyx, Michael also wanted to get the information that Brian had. If the information regarding the mutants was spread from mouth to mouth, it would be inevitable that Onyx would have trouble finding the information.

So, Michael looked at Alex and the others, who were still standing there, not sure what to do. He said, "Guys, could you step out for a bit? I would like to interrogate this guy about something."

It was only then that Alex and the others finally reacted. Alex spoke first, "No problem. And, thank you for saving us."

The others also nodded, feeling grateful. They did not know what would have happened if Michael had not come over. But from the fact that one of these guys had a gun, it was clear that their fate would not have been good.

So, after thanking Michael, they all left the private room. They understood that what was about to be said inside there was something that was most probably confidential.

To make sure that nobody would come over to disturb Michael, Alex and the others both left the location of the private room. But before they did, they visited the other private rooms, asking the others to leave.

Of course, for those that were already enjoying themselves, they were very dissatisfied at being interrupted. But when they recognized the identities of Alex and the others, they had no other choice but to leave.

After clearing out the entire floor, they went and stood next to the elevator and the stairs. That way, they could prevent anyone from coming over to this floor.

Back in the private room, Michael gazed at Brian, waiting for his response. But all this while, Brian was continuously shaking his head, trying to imply that he knew nothing.

It was just that, Michael was having none of it. So, he held the gun that he had picked up, the same gun that had been dropped by Hudson, before he pointed it at Brian.

"If you don’t speak, then you are going to die. But if you tell me everything that you know, I might as well give you a chance of survival." Michael spoke slowly.

Brian shivered all over when he saw the muzzle of the gun pointed at him. In his entire life, he had never faced such a situation. Most of the time, he was the one pointing a gun towards someone, not the other way around.

And now, he felt completely terrified. He was so scared that he was sweating all over, afraid that Michael would pull the trigger.

"I-I will speak..." Brian stammered.

Michael did not say anything, just gazing at Brian, waiting for him to continue.

Understanding, Brian did not hold back, as he immediately revealed everything. He did not dare to lie, as he was afraid that if Michael already knew about this information, it would be the end for him.

So, he revealed everything that he knew about mutants, though it was all second hand information that he had received from his father and other sources.

But as he listened to the information revealed by Brian, Michael suddenly realized that this world seemed to have hidden quite a lot.

It was to the extent that he had never thought of exploring that other side of this world. But now, as Brian spoke, it was as though the veil that was covering his eyes was removed, allowing him to be able to see the world from a different perspective.

And as he understood it, he realized, he needed to do a lot more than he had, if he needed to ensure the safety of those that he cared about.
