Intergalactic conquest with an AI-Chapter 305 Lead by example. {2}
The golden comet was Rex using his Emperor Halo, which made him blaze like a miniature sun. His wings left trails of light as he darted around the massive golem, his energy claymore carving glowing arcs through the mist.
The sheer scale of the battle above was staggering; it was a clash of titans that made the ground tremble with every impact.
{Emperor Class Cannon fully loaded, enemy locked on. Can I fire now, boss?}
Mini Cleo's cheerful voice chirped in Rex's mind. She hovered in front of him with her tiny form glowing with energy as she prepared the devastating weapon.
Rex's voice was calm but firm.
{Do it.}
Mini Cleo's grin widened as she clapped her hands together. [Firing in 3... 2... 1...] Stay updated via novelbuddy
The sky lit up as the Emperor Class Cannon unleashed its power. A beam of pure golden energy shot forth, so bright it burned away the mist in its path.
The beam struck the colossal golem square in the chest, piercing through its defenses like a hot knife through butter. For a moment, the battlefield fell silent as everyone watched in stunned awe.
The golem let out a deafening roar while its glowing eyes flickered as it staggered backward. Then, with a final, earth-shaking crash, it collapsed, its massive form disintegrating into a cloud of dust and debris.
The humans on the ground erupted into cheers with their morale soaring. The Paladin, however, remained focused. "Don't get distracted! We're not done yet!" he shouted while cleaving through another Harvester with a well-placed shockwave.
Above, Rex hovered in the sky, his wings glowing faintly as he surveyed the battlefield. The golden light of the Emperor Halo began to dim since its energy was spent. Mini Cleo floated beside him with her tiny hands on her hips as she grinned proudly. "Not bad, huh, boss?"
Rex allowed himself a small smile. "Not bad at all. But we're not done yet. Let's clean up the rest."
{Lets go, boss! I also want to keep killing those little ugly beings!} Mini Cleo chirped with her tiny voice brimming with excitement. She materialized a pair of holographic sunglasses and perched herself on Rex's head, summoning a miniature minigun that spun to life with a high-pitched whir.
{Hahah, this little beast,} Rex thought while shaking his head slightly.
{I wonder if Cleo is also as silly as her but she's just hiding it?}
Without wasting another moment, Rex dove from the sky like a golden meteor, slamming into the densest cluster of enemies.
The impact sent shockwaves rippling outward while his energy-infused aura sliced through Harvesters and golems alike, reducing them to smoldering debris in an instant. The ground cracked beneath him, and the mist around him evaporated from the sheer heat of his descent.
Meanwhile, Mini Cleo was having the time of her life while standing triumphantly on Rex's head. She unleashed a barrage of holographic bullets from her minigun.
Though only Rex and Cleo could see the projectiles, the little AI didn't care. She giggled maniacally while her sunglasses glinted as she mowed down imaginary enemies. Rex decided not to ruin her fun and let her have her moment, focusing instead on the real threats around him.
With each swing of his massive energy, Claymore, Rex carved through the enemy ranks like a scythe through wheat. Arcs of golden energy erupted from his blade, obliterating everything in their path.
The Harvesters screeched as they fell, their grotesque forms disintegrating into ash. The golems, despite their size and durability, crumbled under the relentless assault.

The Aegis units and human soldiers, who had been fighting for hours, were nearing their limits. Their energy reserves were depleted, and their ammunition was running dangerously low. But as they watched Rex in action, a surge of renewed strength coursed through them.
His presence was like a beacon that reignited their morale and filled them with a second wind. Those who had run out of bullets resorted to using their weapons as clubs, smashing through Harvesters with brute force alone.
Surprisingly, it worked... though not as efficiently as their firearms, it was enough to keep them in the fight.
Two observers watched the battle unfold from afar, each with their own unique perspective.
From the safety of her ship, Cleo monitored the battlefield through her scout drones. A rare smile tugged at the corners of her lips as she watched Rex lead the charge.
"It seems, even with all my data and calculations, I forgot that Rex isn't someone to stand in the back while others fight. He can only show his full potential when he's leading by example, fighting in the front alongside his soldiers..."
She paused for a second while her voice softened. "Father... are you seeing this? He's as reckless as you."
A soft chuckle escaped her, a sound so rare that Rex could probably count the number of times he'd heard it on one hand. Cleo leaned back in her chair with her eyes still fixed on the feed. "Keep going, you big idiot," she murmured with a hint of fondness in her tone.
On the other hand, Ys, while cocooned in her egg, used her mental powers to spy on the battle. Unlike Cleo, who relied on drones, Ys could perceive things on a deeper, more metaphysical level. What she saw left her stunned.
Rex was exuding a silver aura, a radiant energy that enveloped everyone fighting on his side. To the naked eye, it was invisible, but to Ys, it was a breath-taking sight.
The aura varied in intensity among the soldiers. Some were lightly coated, while others, like the Aegis units, glowed more brightly. But what truly caught her attention was the human Paladin. He shone like a living torch, his silver aura so intense that it nearly obscured his human form.
Ys's mind raced as she analyzed the phenomenon. "Mmm, I wonder what this could be... I understand that some races have abilities to drain power from those around them, but this is the first time I'm seeing an ability that gives power instead of taking it. What's the rule behind it? How does it choose who to empower?"
With her curiosity piqued, Ys made a mental note to study Rex's aura more closely once the battle was over. For now, she watched in silent awe as the silver energy continued to flow, bolstering the soldiers and turning the tide of the battle.
Back on the battlefield, Rex and Mini Cleo were an unstoppable duo. Rex's golden light clashed with the darkness of the Harvesters, while Mini Cleo's holographic minigun continued to "pew-pew" away.
The soldiers, inspired by their leader's bravery and empowered by his mysterious aura, fought with renewed vigor. Together, they pushed back the enemy forces, their determination unshakable.
As the last of the Harvesters fell and the golems crumbled into dust, Rex stood tall with his wings glowing faintly in the mist. Mini Cleo hopped off his head, her minigun disappearing as she gave a triumphant fist pump. "We did it, boss! Those ugly things didn't stand a chance!"
Rex smirked while his silver aura slowly fading. "Good work, everyone. Now let's retreat and have a good rest"
The soldiers cheered while their exhaustion was momentarily forgotten.
Once Rex confirmed that his forces had successfully retreated from the hot zone, he turned his attention to the massive golem debris scattered across the battlefield.
The colossal remains of the golem lay in a smoldering heap, its half-cracked core glowing faintly amidst the rubble. Rex approached it, his glowing wings casting an ethereal light over the scene.
"Mini Cleo," Rex said while crouching down to examine the core, "do you think this counts as a beast core or a crystal ore? I mean, it came from a golem, basically a mountain made of minerals."
{Mmmm, let me see...}
Mini Cleo replied with her tiny form materializing on Rex's shoulder. She used his optical sensors to scan the core, her holographic eyes flickering as she analyzed the data.
After a moment, she nodded decisively.
{According to the data, it's definitely a beast core. Even if it's the size of a house.}
Rex raised an eyebrow. "Well, that works. Call Cleo and tell her to send some frigates to haul this thing away. I'll stick around and guard it just in case."
{It's done, Boss!}
Mini Cleo chirped while her tiny hands typed on a holographic keyboard.
{Oh, and by the way... there's movement around us. Lots of it.}
Rex's eyes narrowed as Mini Cleo projected a minimap in front of him. Dozens of red dots were closing in, their movements deliberate and calculated. "Harvesters? Golems?" he asked while his hand instinctively tightened around the hilt of his energy claymore.
{Negative, Boss!}
Mini Cleo replied with her voice tinged with excitement.
{They're moving too slowly to be mindless beasts. And get this... there are several Tier 3 Advanced cyborgs in their group. Should we scare them?}
She grinned mischievously while summoning a holographic nuclear bomb that she hugged tightly with her tiny arms.
Rex sighed while shaking his head. "You don't want to scare them.... you want to vaporize them, you little troublemaker. Let's not start a war we don't need. Activate the cloaking function and let's see what they're up to."
{Roger that, Boss!}
Mini Cleo said while snapping her fingers. A shimmering field of energy enveloped Rex, rendering him invisible to the naked eye. The minimap in front of him updated, showing the approaching figures in greater detail.
The newcomers were a strange sight. They moved cautiously with their advanced cybernetic enhancements glinting in the dim light. Some carried heavy weapons, while others seemed to be scanning the area with sophisticated equipment.
At the center of the group was a towering figure of a Tier 3 Advanced cyborg with a heavily armored frame and a glowing visor that obscured their face.
Rex watched silently from his cloaked position, his white wings folded tightly against his back. Mini Cleo hovered beside him, her holographic form flickering faintly.
{What do you think they want, Boss?} she whispered with her voice being barely audible.
