There was an eight-Level difference between him and the Vampire Snake, but if there was one thing Tu Xiao'an couldn't afford to lose, it was his fighting spirit. His Power of Thunder and Lightning was a form of Celestial Punishment. He refused to believe it couldn't strike this Evil Snake dead.

'Vanquishing demons and ridding the world of this Evil Snake for the good of all...' That sounded a little too noble. The truth was, Tu Xiao'an just wanted to eat this snake, make his own power skyrocket, and claim its Flame Power.

Regardless, only one of them would be leaving Snake Valley alive today.

"Gahaha... Come! This king will reduce you to cinders!"

Billowing flames swirled around the Vampire Snake, a conflagration that incinerated everything in its path. When it opened its massive, bloody maw, it was like staring into a Dark Abyss.

"Fire Dragon Burning Heaven!"

A long hiss echoed through Snake Valley. In an instant, the sky turned a blazing red as a Sea of Fire surged across it. The next moment, the Sea of Fire began to shift and transform, coalescing into a single entity. The formidable head of a massive Fire Dragon emerged. The Fire Dragon writhed, and to be devoured by it meant annihilation.

The massive Fire Dragon, possessing the power to incinerate the heavens, lunged ferociously toward the Gold and Silver Snake. It moved with irresistible force, burning everything in its path.

It was hard to believe such a terrifying phenomenon could occur in the modern world. It was more fantastical than any science fiction movie.

Fortunately, this was Snake Valley, the deepest part of She Mountain. Had this been on the outskirts, it would have been impossible to hide from the eyes of the world.

Yet upon seeing the massive Fire Dragon formed of flames, Tu Xiao'an actually broke into a relieved smile. 'This is my fated battle. I've already failed once; how could I fail a second time? I have to get back up right where I fell.'

He had dreamed of killing this incomparably malevolent snake.

The striped Snake Scales of the Gold and Silver Snake gleamed, and bolts of shocking thunder leaped from them. A crazed look appeared in Tu Xiao'an's eyes as the Power of Thunder and Lightning within him was instantly drained. He let out a hysterical roar.

"Thunder God's Fury!"

In an instant, the sky above the Gold and Silver Snake erupted in a blindingly brilliant light, like a star, like the midday sun. It was a light too dazzling for the eyes to bear.

BOOM...

With a heaven-shaking BOOM, the entirety of Snake Valley began to tremble violently. A current surged across the sky amid roiling thunderclaps. In an instant, sand and stones were sent flying, the very color of the sky and earth changed, and it was as if the firmament itself was collapsing.

Amid the fierce tremors, unrestrained Flame and Thunder intertwined and tangled with each other, fire and lightning illuminating the entire sky.

In the next instant, the towering, thirty-meter Vampire Snake was being baptized in a Sea of Thunder, while the barely one-meter-long Gold and Silver Snake was buried in a Sea of Fire.

The cataclysm in Snake Valley could only be described as world-rending. Both Tu Xiao'an and the Vampire Snake had deliberately stayed far away from the small hill covered in Snakeberries.

They couldn't allow the hill to be damaged. After all, the very reason they had come to Snake Valley was the allure of the Snakeberries. To have such Heavenly and Earthly Treasures destroyed in their battle...

That would be unforgivable.

It was impossible to tell how long the intense clash of the two phenomena lasted.

A long time passed before the sky above Snake Valley slowly returned to calm. The clouds parted, revealing a blue sky as clear as a pool of still water. The fiery spectacle was gone, and no more thunder shocked the air. In the distance, a few white clouds seemed hesitant to approach, as if afraid, yet they slowly drifted closer, as if testing the waters.

The ground was a complete wreck, covered in cracks and craters. The towering, thirty-meter Vampire Snake was numb all over, its body still wreathed in crackling electricity that flowed up and down its length with an audible hum.

The Vampire Snake had clearly been electrified to the point of near-paralysis.

Not far away, the small Gold and Silver Snake was giving off a scorched smell. Its once-brilliant Snake Scales were almost completely charred, and it looked to be in a wretched state.

For a while, the two snakes, one large and one small, could hardly even stir.

「A full hour later.」

The Vampire Snake let out a roar and soared straight up, its aura so imposing it seemed to challenge the very heavens. Its fiery red scales no longer blazed, having grown dim and dull, but it was still incomparably ferocious. Its pair of bell-like, bloodthirsty eyes locked onto the Gold and Silver Snake paralyzed on the ground, and a flash of greed flickered within them.

Suddenly, Tu Xiao'an's world went dark. He saw the Vampire Snake high above, looking down on him with contempt. It clearly intended to swallow him in a single gulp.

Given his small, one-meter-long body, "swallow" was a bit of an exaggeration.

"You've lost. I am the true Snake King. Devouring you will only solidify my claim."

The Vampire Snake's voice was like a resentful sob, and a bloodthirsty light glowed faintly in its eyes.

"Is that so?" A cool, mocking voice sounded softly. The Gold and Silver Snake that had been paralyzed on the ground abruptly vanished, reappearing the next second suspended high in the air. "Vampire Snake," it said, its voice flat and emotionless, "are you daydreaming?"

That heaven-shaking clash of two Attribute Powers had resulted in a stalemate; both snakes were equally battered.

The Power of Thunder and Lightning within Tu Xiao'an's body was depleted and unusable. But from the looks of it, the Vampire Snake wasn't much better off.

It clearly couldn't use its Flame Power anymore, either.

'In that case, all that's left is a physical brawl.'

GROW... GROW... GROW...

The Gold and Silver Snake's entire body suddenly began to glow brilliantly. The ground shook violently as its small serpentine form began to expand at a rate visible to the naked eye. At the same time, a terrifyingly majestic Qi erupted from it, sending sand and stones flying and kicking up gale-force winds.

"Vampire Snake, our battle is just getting started!"

Now twenty meters long, Tu Xiao'an radiated a terrifying aura. Any other creature would have long since been trembling in fear, prostrate on the ground before him.

But he was facing the even more enormous Vampire Snake, which offered no reaction of surprise.

The Vampire Snake, Spiritual and Fierce, had long run out of patience. Its body coiled and then shot forward like a ferocious Flood Dragon, charging violently toward the opposing Gold and Silver Giant Snake.

It opened its bloody maw, a mouth so huge it could easily swallow an elephant. The four enormous, sharp fangs within were a terrifying sight, capable of biting through anything.

"Now let's see which one of us can bite the other to death!"

Tu Xiao'an's blood boiled and his Killing Intent flared. Facing a Giant Snake ten meters longer than himself, he met its charge without a trace of fear, clashing head-on with the Vampire Snake.

The saying, "Be a hero in life, and a hero in death," was the most fitting description for Tu Xiao'an.

He had become a House Snake after death, and now he was once again battling his fated nemesis to determine who was superior.

The heavens had been kind to him. In this day and age, who else got a chance to start over after dying?

Who got to personally slay their own mortal enemy?

Most could only scream, "I'll get you even if I have to come back as a ghost!"

Tu Xiao'an was therefore incredibly lucky, and he absolutely could not let this fortune go to waste.

The sky above Snake Valley returned to a state of peace, with fluffy white clouds drifting leisurely by, but the ground below had suffered a cataclysmic disaster.

One had to admit, the Life Force of both snakes was abnormally strong. The longer they fought, the more ferocious they became. They clashed with Heaven Shocking Power, and a single sweep of a tail carried immense force.

Enough to make a house collapse in an instant, a force even more terrifying than an excavator.

The fight raged on. The two Giant Snakes fought a world-shaking battle. Unable to use their attribute abilities, they had become even more brutal and bloodthirsty.
