ISEKAI? More like I See Crap!-Chapter 353: Jinxed Into a Boss Fight ( )
The snow beneath Hazuki's boots trembled as something massive descended from above.
A colossal Ice Dragon burst from the swirling white sky.
Enormous and majestic, it was covered from head to tail in scales of pure white ice, sharp and translucent, like carved crystal. Frost crept across its hide, mist seeping from the gaps between scales with every slow breath.
Two massive wings unfolded as it descended.
The ground shook violently. Snow erupted into the air, and a freezing wind slammed into Hazuki's face, forcing him to brace himself.
Cold air poured from the dragon's gaping maw as its glowing blue eyes locked onto them.
Hazuki stared, frozen in place.
"Err... Ridan?"
"What!?" Ridan snapped, floating stiffly above his head.
"Do we… fight?"
"Are you dumb!?" Ridan barked. "If I remember correctly, you ran from a regular dragon before!"
"Ah… well…" Hazuki scratched the back of his head with a sheepish grin. "That was when I was weak."
"You are weak!" Ridan exhaled sharply. "You can't even use magic!"
"But I've got you, right?"
"No, you dumbass!" Ridan shouted. "Attacking an Ice Dragon with magic is basically useless!"
"Why?" Hazuki asked, eyes still locked on the towering beast.
"Because magic damage against it only lands at half effect," Ridan explained. "And that's being generous."
"Huh? But you said you're an ancient spirit and your magic is unmatched."
Ridan fell silent for a moment.
"…Yeah. I am."
Then he stared up at the dragon.
"But that thing is more ancient than me."
"Hmmm…" Hazuki rubbed his chin, gazing up at the towering dragon. "Well… if we can't fight it, maybe we should run."
"No can do, Hazuki," Ridan replied, eyes locked on the beast. "That thing flies fast."
"If we can't fight and can't run, then what?" Hazuki narrowed his eyes at Ridan. "Just let it eat me?"
Before Ridan could answer, the Ice Dragon's tail swung toward Hazuki.
He took the hit head-on, sent flying as his body tore through snow and ice, slamming hard into the ground far away.
"HAZUKI!" Ridan screamed.
He darted forward, but the dragon opened its maw.
A torrent of icy breath blasted outward, freezing everything in its path.
"Damn it… this dragon!" Ridan spun frantically, scanning the frozen battlefield.
"Oi! Hazuki! Don't tell me you're dead!"
Panic crept into his voice as he exhaled sharply.
"Damn it… If he dies here, I'll be sealed again by those two…"
Before Ridan could move to search, something shifted.
Snow slid aside.
A figure slowly sat up.
Then stood.
Hazuki straightened, cracked his neck, and lifted his head.
A manic grin split his face.
His eyes were wild.
Crazy Mode — Activated.
"Gyahahahahahaha!"
Hazuki launched himself forward, sprinting straight at the Ice Dragon without hesitation.
"What—!?" Ridan froze. "Oi—!"
The Ice Dragon roared and swung its massive tail again.
Hazuki leapt, boots slamming onto the frozen tail. He dashed upward along its length, closing the distance to the dragon's body in seconds.
The dragon's jaws opened wide, unleashing a blast of icy breath straight at Hazuki. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Hazuki leapt, boots slamming onto the frozen tail, then sprinted upward, closing the distance to the dragon's head in seconds.
He sprang into the sky, spun his body, and came crashing down like a falling meteor, a crushing downward kick slamming straight into the dragon's skull.
The impact thundered against the icy scales, shockwaves rippling through the frozen ground below.
Ridan stared, speechless.
"…You've gotta be kidding me."
Hazuki's eyes went wide, his grin stretching even further.
"Have you ever tasted countless punches, lizard!?"
"GYAHAHAHAHAHA!!!"
He unleashed a storm.
His fists pounded the Ice Dragon's head again and again. The dragon roared, staggering backward, its massive neck jerking as it struggled to defend or counterattack.
Hazuki laughed wildly, his voice echoing across the frozen land.
"Too slow! Too slow! TOO SLOW!!"
Crazy Mode — Tier Two: Activated.
Hazuki's knuckles began to glow, raw mana flooding into his arms. His punches multiplied, striking from every angle with impossible speed.
The dragon's footing gave way. Its enormous body slid backward through the snow under the relentless assault.
Desperate, the dragon swung a massive wing wide, conjuring a frozen gale that slammed into Hazuki.
In an instant, ice encased Hazuki, freezing him solid.
The Ice Dragon stared at the block of ice encasing Hazuki.
Slowly, it raised one massive foot.
Then brought it down.
But before the foot could land, the ice around Hazuki shattered. Hazuki thrust both hands upward, catching the dragon's descending foot.
"Oi! This is heavy!!"
With a grunt, Hazuki forced the massive foot away, then leapt clear.
He landed lightly and straightened, a wide grin spreading across his face.
"Woo!! This is fun!!!"
Pumping his fist, Hazuki let raw mana surge through his body. Cuts and bruises faded instantly, healing in seconds.
His jacket hung in tatters, the fabric shredded and his clothes torn apart by ice and impact.
He glanced down at his ruined outfit, then back up at the dragon.
"…You're going to pay for my clothes, old lizard!"
Hazuki stared at the Ice Dragon, a sly, wide grin plastered across his face.
The dragon stared back and smirk.
"'Tis my first time beholding a human such as thee," the Ice Dragon rumbled, its voice deep, echoing like glaciers grinding together.
"Though thy blow dealt me no true harm, still… I am impressed."
Hazuki blinked.
He glanced up at Ridan floating nearby.
"…Oi. Dragons can talk? And what's with that gibberish language?"
Ridan let out a tired sigh.
"All dragons can talk, dumbass. And that's not gibberish. It's ancient dragon tongue."
"Err… can you translate it for me?" Hazuki asked.
The Ice Dragon's eyes narrowed as it watched Hazuki speak to empty air.
"To whom dost thou speak, O mere mortal?"
Hazuki turned his head slightly.
"Uh, Ridan? What'd he say?"
"He's asking who you're talking to."
"Oh." Hazuki nodded, then frowned. "Wait, you can understand ancient dragon language too? How come I've never heard you talk like that?"
"Oi, that's rude!" Ridan snapped. "Why would I talk like that? You can't even understand a single word the dragon's saying!"
