Island Survival: Starts by chopping a tree-Chapter 64 - 63 New Skill
[Congratulations, Host you have learned a skill and a technique]
Jeff’s eyes spark, waiting for the next line of sentence to appear.
[Congratulations, Host. You have gained a skill called ’Way of the Bow.’]
[Congratulations, you have gained a technique, ’Precision Shot.’]
[Skill: Way of the Bow [1]]
Description: The host has developed a foundational understanding of the bow as a weapon. This skill enhances accuracy, control, and consistency when using a bow.
Jeff blinked in surprise, his hands relaxing slightly as he lowered the bow. "Way of the Bow?" he muttered under his breath.
Before he could dwell on it further, a strange sensation washed over him as if a door in his mind had been unlocked.
His vision blurred again, and an ethereal shape began forming in his mind’s eye.
A shadowy figure stood before him again, it was still the same showing him the process.
It was holding the bow with a relaxed posture but imposing at the same time. Its stance was firm, yet fluid, the body positioned sideways to the target.
A steady voice echoed in the familiar place, it was calm and deliberate, as if imparting ancient wisdom.
"Grip the bow firmly but not tightly. Let your fingers curl naturally around the handle. Tension comes from the string, not your hands."
The figure then nocked an arrow, drawing the string back smoothly until the hand rested near the corner of its jaw.
"Anchor your hand consistently at the same point. Consistency is the foundation of accuracy."
Jeff listened to him attentively since he knew that it was teaching him now.
The figure then released the arrow, the string snapping forward with a strong twang. The arrow sailed straight and true, embedding itself in the center of an imaginary target.
"Release smoothly. Do not jerk your hand or the string. Let it flow like water, seamless and effortless." it spoke, looking at him.
As Jeff absorbed the lessons, the scene shifted. The shadowy figure demonstrated a precise technique, aiming at a small, distant target. The voice echoed to his ears again.
"Precision is not in the bow, but in the archer. Focus your breath, steady your heart, and align your entire body with the shot," he instructed him
The arrow flew, striking the target dead center with pinpoint accuracy.
[Technique: Precision Shot(1)]
Description: A calculated, high-accuracy shot that focuses all of the user’s physical and mental energy into a single, decisive strike. It is particularly effective for hitting critical or small targets.
When the shadowy figure was done showing it to him, Jeff’s vision cleared as he exhaled deeply, the lessons and techniques firmly etched in his mind.
He lifted the bow again, this time his aura was that of an archer, his stance, and his focus. Nocking an arrow, he steadied his breath and released.
The arrow flew straighter than ever before, landing exactly at the target’s center. A grin crept onto Jeff’s face.
"Looks like I’m starting to get the hang of this." So this time he decided to focus and try using the technique.
[Presicion Shot activated]
Then his mind began to calm like the ocean, their was no sound no distraction. His eyes was only focusing on the target and the arrow that pierced that.
As he focused on that, the power in his grip began to transfer to the arrow, and all of his strength felt like it was drawing in.
The place was calm and serene, and when his eyes glinted, he let go, as the arrow came flying so fast like a bullet.
The speed was twice as fast and more powerful as it cut through the air. The tip of the bamboo arrow glinted menacingly.
As it hit the target, the arrow tip did not just get stuck in there. The tip pierce just inches of the arrow tip inside of the bark.
"That strong?" Jeff said in awe.
As he looked at the bow, he picked up more arrows and shot the target, and the accuracy was crazy since if it’s his target, it will always hit that part.
Picking up another arrow, as he tried to use the technique the 6th time. He pointed at that part and injected his strength into the arrow.
"With just this, then.." he did not finish his words as his eyes began to blur.
His mind began to spin as he flung from side to side, holding his head like he was about to fall asleep.
"What the heck is happening?" Jeff exclaimed as he tried to rest his mind by just standing there still.
The bow and arrow had already been dropped to the ground, and after some time, the nausea had gone.
Looking at his surroundings, he looked at the bow and picked it up again as he inspected it again.
"System what just happened?" he asked the system.
[The cause of the sudden fatigue is because the host overused the technique. Every time the host uses a technique, it depletes your mental energy and your strength]
[With your current strength, using the skill the 5th time is already a good result]
Hearing the system’s explanations, Jeff nods his head in understanding. He then called for his stats as it showed it to him.

"I now have lots of skills. Tomorrow morning, I should prepare for my fight," Jeff uttered with a smile as he remembered its face looking down at him.
Jeff then went back to the camp, sleeping in the bed. All of the girls were already sleeping, and finally, night had passed.
- 1 Week
Finally, a week after they got stuck on the island, Jeff woke up early since he now had to prepare.
As he got out of the tent, it was still a bit dark. When he was about to gather his stuff, a ding sound was heard.
[Congratulations on surviving for 1 week, Host. To offer you a motivation for surviving, you have been rewarded]
[Weekly Lucky Spin is finally unlocked]
[Weekly Reward: Lucky Spin
Description: As the name suggests, it’s a lucky spin, and you can get any rewards depending on your luck. You can get skills, resources, weapons, knowledge, and more.]
...
Jeff, who had just emerged from his small tent, was stunned. "Lucky spin? There’s actually a weekly reward."
Isn’t this good, then? Jeff was ecstatic, as this meant he could acquire skills, weapons, resources, and more.
"System, I want to use the spin," Jeff instructed.
[Sure Host]
Then a roulette appeared in his sight, and the system initiated a spin. There are lots of colors, and the signs are for different uses.
Like a sign for weapons, food, resources, skills, and so on, you can see the sign already but for the specific rewards in that section he does not know.
"Please be something good," Jeff uttered, praying for his lady’s luck.
The roullete in front of him just spin like their was no end, after some time it began to gradually slow until it stopped from something good.
[Congratulations, Host, you have been awarded a random skill]
[Do you also want to spin a random skill? Everything will be random and the higher level skill had a lower chance of being won]
Seeing this Jeff nods his head, as long as the skill is useful he can will be happy.
"System spin it for me," Jeff muttered as he was behind his tent talking to the air like an idiot.
[Random spin skill was used....]
Then another roullete in the skill section began to spin, as Jeff waited for it to stop. In the spinning rewards their are skills in different colors.
...
White - 100% Chance
Blue- 80% Chance
Yellow- 50% Chance
Red- 10% Chance
Gold- 1% Chance
...
You can clearly see how luck you must be to won a golden skill, he even wondered what kind of powerful skill would that be if he ever had that.
As his mind wandered, the spin for his skill gradually began to slow down again until it finally stopped from the blue one.
Seeing this, he did not get disappointed, since it’s still good because he had more chances in the future to spin some rewards, right?
[Congratulation for winning a blue skill, random skill has been chosen]
