It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 168: Unexpected birthday gift part one

The week went by in a blink of an eye. Petal spent the whole week preparing for the festival as it’s only one month away. Her teachers say that she is ready but shouldn’t help but worry about not doing well. That’s why she was practicing hard to do her best. She believed that good results come from hard work and this is her first dream that she works hard to achieve.

It was a Sunday night. Everyone was out. Lana was busy with the hospital. Alice is studying with her friends for the exams and Ethan said that he has important work that he has to take care of.

Walking along the empty corridor. Petal stopped by the big window on the third floor, staring outside at the pouring rain. They were at the end of November. Her birthday is tomorrow but she preferred to not tell anyone about it. She planned to visit her mother’s grave. For her. It was the best way to spend her birthday.

It was strange how her fate was twisted. She had to go through a lot of pain before she built a new life for herself again. It wasn’t like she was not happy with her life but she was sad that her mother wasn’t part of it.

Thunderlight lighted the room causing her to flinch before the thunder sound broke into the empty corridor. The rain poured heavily on Wilson’s mansion, washing everything away.

Seeing Ethan’s car entering the gate. Petal smiled. She didn’t go downstairs. Instead, she waited for him to come to her. She didn’t want the maids to notice that there’s something between them.

Walking up the stairs. Ethan removed his drenched coat thinking about PetaI and what she might be doing right now, Reaching the third floor. He saw her leaning against the wall waiting for him with a shy smile on her face.

Petal’s smile disappeared when she noticed that his clothes were wet because of the rain.

"I missed you." He said but he didn’t touch her. His hands were cold and his clothes were drenched from the rain. He didn’t want her to feel the coldness of his hands.

"Me too."Petal replied. signaling.

Petal and Ethan went to his room so he can change his clothes. First, he took a warm shower as Petal waited for him in the room. After the shower, the couple cuddled to sleep. He wanted her to be in her full energy tomorrow. Because there’s a big surprise waiting for her.

"You made them work fast." Jacob said looking at the mansion that was being decorated for Petal’s birthday tonight.

Ethan didn’t reply. He only smiled. A smile that Jacob didn’t notice. The plan was to make her stay away from the mansion until everything is ready and thanks to Jacob’s help. His mother and his sister. This will happen. Jacob will make sure that stays outside while Ethan, His mother, and Alice will make sure that everything is ready for the birthday tonight.

"Is there anything she prefers? Food, Clothes Jewelry. I will be grateful if told me" Ethan said as he turned to look at Jacob.

Jacob’s eyebrow arched staring at the man who was considered to be the God of the underground asking him about his fiancee liking. It would make his animus laugh if they heard him. But the truth Is, that shows how he truly cares about PetaI.

"Show her how you truly love her by giving her a family to care about. Make this family hers. Because this is the one thing that she needs the most. The love of a family. As for living in luxury. She already has the money to live in it." Jacob replied to his question.

A family love. Ethan repeated in his mind. Indeed that is priceless love to have.

"Thank you." Ethan thanked him and that something rarely happen.

"And a romantic night at a fancy hotel something every girl would want. If you understand what I mean." Jacob added before he left.

Ethan’s eyebrow caressed. How didn’t he think about that? But that is something that can easily be fixed. Taking out his phone he dialed someone’s number to make the reservation in the best hotel in the city. Tonight. He wants her to be the happiest person in the world if he could.

Six hours later. At musical school.

Sitting on the chair. Petal was drinking water as she was resting. Today was a hard practicing day. Her fingertips had small cuts on them caused by the cello chords but she didn’t mind a little amount of blood for the sake of her dream.

Looking at the school gate. Petal saw Jacob’s car had arrived to pick her up. Holding her bag. She walked towards him.

"Someone looks tried." Jacob said handing her the blanket just like the mafia boss ordered him.

Petal smiled as she took the blanket. She knew that Ethan told him about it and made sure that she cover her legs.

Looking outside the window. Petal noticed that Jacob was driving on another road."This is not the usual road." She said. Signaling.

"Yes. The main road is under reparation. So we need to use this road." Jacob lied.

Nodding her head. Petal was about to close her eyes for a bit but she heard the sound of notification of her phone. Checking her email. She found an email from an unknown email address.

Opening the email, She found that it was an email for a video. Clicking on it she saw Ethan sitting with a woman in some cafe.

"And what are they saying?" It was Ethan who asked.

The woman with blonde hair laughed and said."They’re saying that you’re in love with her. That she might be your new weak spots."

"Well. Unfortunately, you and they are wrong." Ethan replied.

Petal turned to look at Jacob who stopped the car on the roadside.

"How so?" The woman asked.
