"Noah Is walking towards us." Alice informed Petal who was looking at the other side.

"Good evening. Ladies." Noah said.

"Good evening. You look nice." Alice noticed how good her cousin looked this evening.

"Thank you. You look beautiful too." He replied, turning to look at PetaI.

She looked extra attractive tonight. Her skin was white as snow, matching the color of the dress she wore perfectly. He gulped softly, staring at the red lipstick on her lips. God, she was too irresistible tonight.

Petal offered him a smile when their eyes met. She noticed how he was looking at her but she chose to ignore it.

"You look lovely Petal. The dress suits you perfectly." Noah said.

"Thank you." Petal replied. signaling. She preferred to not praise him.

Alice noticed how Noah was making Petal uncomfortable. So she needed to do something."Noah. Can you bring us something to drink? I’m thirsty." Alice said, touching her throat.

"Yes. No problem." Noah said and went to bring the drinks.

Alice waited until Noah was far enough from them before she asked." Did he feel uncomfortable?"

Petal sighed and nodded her head."A little. But it’s alright. He’s a good person." She said, signaling.

"And he has feelings for you. I will give you advice PetaI. Don’t let a man wait for nothing. Tell him the truth as soon as possible." Alice said, looking ahead of her.

As the events started. Everyone became busy. Ethan had appeared right before the charity event started. He gave a very short speech opening the event with it.

Ethan turned to look at the voice owner and smiled at her."You look stunning yourself. Sarah." He replied to her words.

"Did your parents come?" He asked her.

Sarah is a close family member to Ethan, his mother’s side. He considers her as his second youngest sister.

"Yes. They’re speaking with aunt Lana over there." Sarah pointed in their direction.``Are you going to spend the whole evening speaking to them like the last time? I came here especially for you tonight. I want to show some things. It’s about what you asked about before. I managed to fix the hard drive and restore the recordings." Sarah said, making sure that no one heard them.

"Meet me at my study room in an hour." Ethan said, patting her head before he went to welcome the rest of the guests.

She took a note of who her simple high low A-line straps chiffon dress was too revealing for a charity party. Petal went to sit at an empty table that was far away from the guests. It was quieter here and she couldn’t see what was happening in the event. On her way to the table. She saw Alice walking out of the mansion with some guy. All she could think of is that she has a big heart that can love all these hot men as she says.

"Excuse me. May I sit here?" Petal heard a man’s voice.

She looked up to see a man who seemed to be in his sixties. He seemed tired. She nodded her head and the old man sat down.

"Thank you. It’s quiet here." The old man said to her.

Petal smiled at him as she picked up the water bottle that was on the table and poured him a cup of water.

"That’s very generous of you. I’m indeed very thirsty." The old man said as he took the cup from her.

Petal smiled again. This old man is surely something. Petal thought to herself.

"I’m David. Evelyn’s father." The old man said.

Petal’s body stiffened. This man Is Evelyn’s father. Ethan’s dead wife.

"I know who you’re. You’re Petal. Lana told me about you." David said, looking at her."She also told me about you and Ethan. Which is something I’m happy about. Ethan had a very hard time blaming himself for what happened to her." He added.

Petal lowered her head, unable to look at the old man. For some reason, she felt ashamed of herself.

"When Lana told me that Ethan is dating now. I was happy to hear that. I thought that he had finally decided to move on. But today she told me that there’s some kind of misunderstanding happened between the two of you. I was sad." David said.
