Jobless Transmigration: I'm the only one who loves monsters.-Chapter 105: Would you look at that.
Chapter 105: Would you look at that.
While the women were beautiful in their own right, these two were considered as handsome.
Although both bore different aspects to such titles, while one looked like a gorgeous gentle stag, the other resembled more of a charming attractive lion with a hint of coldness which unintentionally added to his figure rather than diminish it.
With the appearance of such figures, several female examinee’s were forced to look their way, some who’s eyes couldn’t bear to look away.
" Wait, blonde hair, those eyes.... Aren’t those striking features of the Morningstar household."
" Hold up! You mean that merchant family who’s business basically encompasses several areas of the kingdom?!" Another said with equal amounts of shock.
" I can’t believe they’d send two of their own here, they sure must be confident in passing this exam if that’s the case." Said another.
’ So these are the participants we’ll be dealing with during the exams.’ Lucuis muttered. But he suddenly felt a prickling feeling on his nape and turned, only to see a certain figure quickly looking away as if nothing had happened.
’ She really dislikes me now, huh.’ Lucuis didn’t know whether to be happy or sad, after all, the gaze from just now belonged to non other than Snow.
While he thought that she was still angry at him about earlier, he had no idea that the real reason for her sudden displeasure was hearing as people continued to compare him to Adrian, and definitely not in a fair way, which naturally attracted her displeasure, since she believed that her mate was several times more better than this weak looking human male.
If only she could prove it, she thought to herself, but on second thigh, she shook her head, discarding the idea.
’ If they continue to see darling this way, then it improves his chances of being ignored by the females here.’ the thought of not having to worry about her mate being preyed on by these females pleased her quite a bit, almost enough to forget all about Lucuis.
But watching as he and Leo approached the lot of them, her mood soured once more.
" For now, let’s stick together, it appears the exam hasn’t commenced yet, which gives us plenty of time to catch our breaths, alright?" Lucuis proposed.
Adrian, Amy, Grey, Emma and Leo nodded their heads in agreement. They all believed that with a group like there’s, it meant far less hurdles than the other contestants.
While Grey and Emma had no earlier intentions of participating in the academy, they still disliked losing. As for Amy, though she hadn’t told anyone, one of her reasons for following Adrian to the capital in the first place was to enroll into the academy just like her father had wanted. And that she would.
Just then, the sound of a carriage quickly approaching was heard, their group was alarmed because the sound was quickly growing closer towards their direction.
Everyone quickly hurried off to the side, yet one of them was simply to slow, that person in particular was Lucuis. The carriage seemed as if it’d been in a hurry for awhile now, as if the owner was quite frightened of the thought of arriving late to the entrance ceremony.
Lucuis stood calmly. Rather than running him over, the horses pulling the carriage came to an abrupt stop inches away from him, their deadly hooves raising in the air as they neighed in distress.
Lucuis watched as the horses calmed down before gently patting the lingering dust they’d kicked up off his shoulders.
The scene naturally attracted the attention of several examinees. Lucuis’s group in particular had unhappy looks on their faces while staring at the carriage, especially The girls who’s gazes were especially cold, after all, if they hadn’t gotten out of the way, they weren’t sure if Adrian might’ve been hurt by the thing.
The thought of one harming their beloved naturally sparked their protective nature.
What happened next was the appearance of a distressed thin young man who looked every bit like schooler, with his thick monocle on his face, he had a face full with dimples and his brunette hair matched his attire quite well.
He and the coachman hurried down.
" A thousand pardons. It wasn’t our intentions to cause such a disturbance." Said the young man. " I hope no one was hurt."
" Apologies Sir, my young master isn’t at fault. We were simply in hurry after being delayed on our way to the exams today, in my haste I ended up doing more than I should’ve." Said the coachman, hurriedly getting down on his knees to apologise. He was aware of the fact that anyone capable of attending the academy mustn’t be a simple no body, but one he couldn’t afford to offend, and the last thing he wanted was to bring trouble towards his young master.
They were from a simple barony, since barons were the lowest ranked of noble families, he’d long since developed a cautious nature when out of the household. The young man as well was well versed in such matters regarding the outside world.
" Please, if you must be angry at anyone. Let your anger out on me."
" Anger?! You almost–" Snow was about to let loose a torrent of words when Lucuis raised a hand, signaling for her to stop.
The action in itself caught of guard, what annoyed her even more was the fact that she herself had listened and stopped midway.
" There’s no reason to go so far." Lucuis grabbed the man by the shoulders to support him before his knees actually touched the ground.
The man was stunned, as well as the young man next to him, even some onlookers were stunned as well.
Though they hadn’t known him personally, almost everyone was aware of the Morningstar households first son’s personality.
Since the Morningstar Household was far more infamous than a simple merchant family, they beloved that he would’ve used this opportunity to deal with the little baron, but to their suprise, he did the opposite instead.
