A few Arhats glanced at each other, at a loss for what to do.

"Most likely it’s that Green Ox embezzling, why don’t we go to the Thirty-Three Heavens to pay our respects to Elder Lord and get some clarity," suggested one of the Arhats.

"That won’t do, Elder Lord is a revered Saint, and nothing in the Three Realms escapes his Dharma Eye. If it really was the Green Ox that pocketed the Golden Sand Pills, how could he be unaware? Since he hasn’t said anything, it would be presumptuous of us to go and might even be taboo," another countered.

Meanwhile, the Dragon Tamer and Tiger Subduer Arhats suddenly said, "Before we left, Buddha Ancestor had already instructed us that he did not intend to take back the Golden Sand Pills, and the reasons are not for us to speculate."

Despite saying so, Dragon Tamer always felt that this matter was somehow connected to the incident that had occurred before at Mount Ling’s gate.

Upon hearing the words of the Dragon Tamer and Tiger Subduer, the other Arhats were at ease. Of course, what they thought in their hearts remained unknown.

And just like that, the hustle and bustle of Golden Helmet Mountain calmed down. However, after this battle, the little demons of the mountain had nearly all died or been injured, and there was no longer the liveliness of the past. Yet beneath the mountain, a clump of Human Path’s Fortune and Destiny quietly radiated its glow.

Lu Yu did not return to Mountain Luoxia, but secretly followed behind the Monkey and his companions. According to past life memories, the Monkey’s next destination would be the Kingdom of Women, a place Lu Yu had searched for numerous times in the past without success.

Of course, Lu Yu’s main purpose in heading to the Kingdom of Women was not to gaze upon beautiful women, but for the River of the Mother of Heaven. His Great Dao Treasure Vase required the refining of numerous unique waters of the world. The waters of the Mother of Heaven were notably special in Journey to the West, and Lu Yu certainly did not want to miss such an opportunity.

Above the Thirty-Three Heavens, within the Tushita Palace, Elder Lord was seated on a meditation cushion, his back to the Eight Trigrams Furnace, eyes tightly closed. Wisps of smoke rose from the Eight Trigrams Furnace at his back, carrying a strong fragrance of elixirs.

"Master, Sage Yu Ding has arrived with Yun Zhongzi," Golden Horn Boy ran in and reported.

Elder Lord opened his eyes slightly and said, "Let them in."

Soon after, Yun Zhongzi and Sage Yu Ding arrived in front of Elder Lord and hurriedly paid their respects.

"I am aware of the situation in the Kingdom of Tarrycat, I have handed the matter over to Buddhism. You mustn’t cause any more trouble," Elder Lord told them.

The two of them quickly nodded in agreement. No one dared to defy the imperatives of a Saint. Those who didn’t believe in such power had already vanished in the long river of time.

Then Elder Lord took out eighteen Golden Sand Pills and handed them to Yun Zhongzi, saying, "These are the Golden Sand Pills from Mount Ling that can create Golden Bodies. Take them to rebuild the physical forms of your three little demons."

"Disciple thanks the Saint!" Yun Zhongzi expressed his gratitude with joy, bowing deeply.

Next to him, Sage Yu Ding, with a sycophantic smile asked, "Master, do you know who is really behind all this?"

After looking at Sage Yu Ding, Elder Lord slowly said, "This whole affair was directed at Buddhism, with the goal of stirring up conflict between the Buddhist and Daoist factions and to slow down the transcendence of the Buddhist Saints. Tell me, who else has such a grudge against Buddhism?"

"So it’s him." Upon hearing Elder Lord’s response, the two mumbled to themselves, then bowed and took their leave.

Back in Mount Ling, the Dragon Tamer and Tiger Subduer Arhats also arrived at the Great Hero Treasure Hall to report back to Tathagata, bowing and announcing, "Honorable Buddha Ancestor, the trials faced by Tang Monk and his disciples are now resolved, save for the eighteen Golden Sand Pills."

Tathagata sat silently on the lotus throne, slowly opening his benevolent eyes, "Let this matter come to an end here."

Dragon Tamer Arhat hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Buddha Ancestor, could it be the matter of Mount Ling? That one does not seem like the type to rest contented."

Out of caution, Dragon Tamer did not mention the Demon Lord’s name. After the incident at Mount Ling, they were all surprised to find that, unbeknownst to them, Mount Ling had been infiltrated to such an extent that the Demon Lord could take advantage with ease, nearly causing a conflict between Buddhism and the Human Path.

"There is no need to worry, destiny is on our side," the voice of Tathagata rose from the lotus throne, authoritative and solemn, with a strong sense of confidence that gradually settled the uneasy hearts of Dragon Tamer and Tiger Subduer.

The two of them bowed with folded hands, chanted the Buddha’s name, and then slowly retreated from the Great Hero Treasure Hall.

Meanwhile, Lu Yu, who had been secretly following Tang Monk and his disciples, had also arrived at the border of the Kingdom of Women. He saw that the once-empty desert had, at some unknown time, gathered a thick fog.

The dense fog covered heaven and earth, obscuring all visibility of what lay behind, which also surprised Tang Monk and his disciples.

"Disciple, this fog is strange; could it be the work of a demon?" Tang Monk looked at Monkey and asked.

Tang Monk had also been frightened by the demons. Along the journey, they had met demons on mountains and encountered demons by rivers; how could they not be terrified? Thus, seeing such a thick fog, he quickly asked.

"Master, don’t be afraid, everything is under your Old Sun’s control," reassured Monkey with a smile, calming Tang Monk’s frightened heart.

Monkey reached out into the air, grabbed at something, brought it to his nose and sniffed, then said, "Rest assured, Master, this fog is not the work of a demon."

Bajie, however, said from the side, "But this fog obscures our view of the path ahead. What if we fall off a cliff?"

At these words, Tang Monk too showed signs of fear. With the fog so thick that you could not see your own hands, if one were to really step into emptiness, that would be troublesome.

"Master, don’t panic, let your Old Sun go up and see," said Monkey.

Monkey leaped into the air and looked into the distance, only to see a vast whiteness where nothing could be discerned. He then used his Brass Eye, and from his eyes shot golden light, piercing through the fog, to reveal a winding river.

Having landed back on the ground, he turned to Tang Monk and said, "Don’t worry, Master, there’s a big river behind this fog, and there will be no fog once we reach the riverbank."

Upon hearing this, Tang Monk immediately felt relieved and continued to move forward, riding his White Dragon Horse with his three disciples.

Passing through the vast fog, a wide river appeared before the eyes of the master and his disciples. The river water was so clear that the bottom was visible, yet there were no fish or shrimps to be seen, only the colorful pebbles lying quietly on the riverbed.

The fog seemed to divide the world into two realms, with endless yellow sands outside and lush green mountains and clear waters inside, a sight so refreshing that it made one’s spirits soar. Tang Monk couldn’t help but exclaim, "What a scene of clear mountains and beautiful waters. After seeing the rough mountains and evil waters along the way, it has been a long time since we’ve seen such a sight. It’s as if we have returned to Great Tang."

Monkey and the others also enjoyed the rare beauty. The breeze stirred the river’s surface, causing ripples to appear as the water lapped against the riverbanks with a sound.

"Though this river is lovely, we have no boat to cross it," said Tang Monk, troubled by the predicament.

Monkey then reassured him from the side, "Master, don’t worry. Your Old Sun already checked; there are households on the opposite bank, so there should be a ferry. We just need to wait quietly."

And just as Monkey had said, as soon as his words fell, they saw a small boat slowly making its way over from the other bank of the river.
