[We should probably go over and check though, right?]

[Yeah, we just got a weave through all of these people...]

...Now back to the unfolding fight...

"Whoa, who the heck is that guy?"

"He looks like a vagabond."

"Nah, that’s a gentleman if I ever saw one."

’Did...did that guy just refer to me as a lady?,’ Kidanna thought to herself in a confused manner.

As the current leader of the Golden Gorilla Union, Kidanna has to give up much of the pleasantries and simplicities that came with being a young, unmarried woman. It was all for the sake of protecting her people and everything her father had built of course, so to her, a sacrifice such as this wasn’t necessary.

But... she’d be lying to herself if she didn’t think it was nice that someone out there was willing to fight for her honor like in those old stories about heroic warriors fighting through hell and high water for the sake of someone they loved.

Even if that heroic warrior this time around looked like a scruffy vagabond swinging a sword.

"What the fuck? Who the hell are you?!," the lead goader of the Silver-tongue group asked in annoyance.

"Oh, nobody important," Lythero answered as nonchalantly as he could. "I’m just a wandering swordsman who just so happened to be nearby. And if you’re wondering why I’m interfering, it’s because I would very much like to prevent any needless conflicts to arise while we’re all just trying to raid a simple ruins. Easy as that."

...Meanwhile, in the crowd...

"Ha! Fucking told you he’d used the line," Zhen Liu said with smug satisfaction.

"Okay, now that I hear him actually make use of it, I can understand why you told him to introduce himself like that," Antonio admitted. "By the way, why did you tell him to suppress his aether like that? He feels no stronger than an Aether Master right now."

"Wait for it."

...Now back to the fight...

"A wandering swordsman, huh?," the Silver-tongue repeated while giving Lythero an appraising glance. "You don’t look like much..."

To the aether senses of the Silver-tongue warrior, he could detect that the vagabond swordsman was about as strong as a peak Aether Master.

In places outside of Amber Shore this might’ve been impressive, but here in the city, that was just average level at best.

Evidently, this guy may very well have been some country bumpkin who thought himself to be better than how he actually was.

Either way, the Silver-tongues thought that this man has bitten off way more than he could chew, and deserved to be punished for such impudent behavior.

Of course, they still needed to show some modicum of mercy before doing anything.

"Just so you know, this right here is an internal affair between two rival companies. So why don’t you piss off right now, and we’ll pretend we didn’t see you, okay?"

In response to this mildly threatening offer, Lythero simply clicked his tongue in disapproval.

"See...as much as I would like to believe that, I get the distinct feeling that I’ll just be waking up with a dagger in my back later because y’all decided to send an assassin, or hire one at the very least," Lythero pointed out. "So I am going to kindly refuse that offer."

After making this statement, Lythero took on a fighting stance.

"But since it’s fairly obvious that you guys probably want to kick my ass anyways, why don’t we skip all the pleasantries and get to the actual fighting, okay?"

"What the..."

Needless to say, the sheer audacity of Lythero’s words were rather shocking to everyone who heard it

...

"Okay, I didn’t feed him that line," Zhen Liu told Antonio. "That was all him."

"Wait...didn’t you say he was raised by a literal group of wandering swordsmen?"

"Oh yeah..."

"By the way, why didn’t he roll up with one of those Gold tiered swords? It definitely would’ve caused them to cower and give up real fast," Antonio pointed out.

"Do you want paint a massive target on his back? Because that’s how you paint a massive target on someone’s back."

"I’m pretty sure we’re painting a target on his back anyways right now..."

...

"You little...alright then, have it your way," the lead Silver-tongue mumbled in an annoyed manner. "Gindoro? This man is disrupting the peace. Take him down."

"Makes sense to me."

From the back of the group, a wiry looking man dressed in the Silver Jungle Dragon Shipping company stepped forward while circulating his aether.

The man appeared to be a peak Aether Master, judging from the aura he was releasing. However, if one looked closely enough, they would notice that the aether around him was attempting to condense into a [Regalia].

This either meant that the man known as Gindoro was either suppressing their power level to appear weaker or was on the verge of a breakthrough. Either way, the man appeared confident enough to confront Lythero out in the open like this, and even draw his weapon of choice, a pair of razor sharp claws and gauntlets.

"My name is Gindoro. Apologies, but I’m going to have to send you to the medical bed for a couple of days...if you’re lucky."

"Well that’s a bold-!"

[Flashfire Strike!]

In the blink of an eye, Gindoro empowered his legs with aether before launching towards Lythero. As he sailed through the air, his claws became engulfed in flames.

"Give me those eyes of yours!," Gindoro roared as he punched one of his claws forward in an attempt to blind Lythero.

Clang!

"No."

Before Gindoro could do so though, Lythero managed to intercept the attack by drawing his sword and using it as a barrier between himself and the claws.

"What the hell?"

Evidently, this moment was rather confusing to Gindoro.

Gindoro ’s claws were a Bronze tiered aether treasure, nothing to write home about but still fairly useful for someone in his station.

As for the blade that Lythero was using as a makeshift shield, it was just an ordinary iron sword.

Nine times out of ten, the better quality equipment won these type of clashes between warriors of equal strength.

So the fact that Lythero’s sword didn’t instantly shatter meant that Lythero was making up the difference.

This fact was not lost on Gindoro, which is why he decided to do the smart thing and disengage from the clash by bouncing backwards several steps and prepare to launch another attack.

"Well, well, well! Looks like someone’s been hiding their fangs. Color me impressed," Gindoro chuckled. "Let’s see you block this then!"

[Phantom Flame Trinado!]

Gindoro began to spin in place, flames emitting from his claws once more and transforming into a living tornado of flames.

As he continued to spin, the tornado of flames multiplied until there were now three flaming tornados spinning right next to each other.

This sight of these burning tornados caused the onlookers to back away in surprise and alarm....

"Oh that’s not good."

"Ah, he dead."

...but Lythero didn’t panic.

Instead, he took on a new sword stance.

"Try to keep up, die!"

The burning tornados began to spin towards Lythero at breakneck speeds, carbonizing the grass and burning the air around them.

If Lythero didn’t make a move, he was going to get pincered by the two flaming tornados that were in the process of flanking him and then smashed head on by the tornado in front of him.

Most people in this situation would leap upward or take the chance to try and outrun the attacking tornadoes.

Instead of doing either of these actions though, Lythero instead drew his sword and took on a bow stance, circulating his aether all the while.

As the aether flowed through his body, the shadow of a giant boar began to manifest around him.

"Burn for me!"

[Unrelenting Thrust.]

BOOM!

"GRK!"

The moment all three burning tornadoes got close enough, Lythero thrusted his blade forward and released a massive burst of aether that took on the form of a giant boar.

All three of the burning tornadoes were blown away from the blast, with Gindoro himself taking a massive hit that caused the man to fly backwards and cough up a lot of blood.

"Holy shit!"

Needless to say, everyone who saw this display of brutality, were rather impressed by this display of power.

Especially since the attack in question was identified as being an Intermediate grade Corporeal aether art, and was used to break apart an Intermediate grade Ethereal aether art.

"He...he just broke his attack with one move."

"With an attack that was significantly weaker no less."

"Who the hell..."

"Are you fucking kidding me?"

Seeing their fellow warrior getting bodied like this was humiliating to the Silver-tongues, to say the least.

So much so that-

"Hold up!"

"Huh?"

"Oh, ready for round two?"

Despite the heavy blow he had taken, Gindoro proceeded to pick himself up and get back on his feet in order to stare daggers at Lythero’s direction.

"We’re not done yet!"
