Everyone present was baffled by that sight. Just a second ago, the octopus lady had still been extremely smug, only to drop dead right after. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Even Employee 9527 was baffled. He had fought the octopus lady earlier, and even though she wasn’t a match for him, her powerful regeneration made her a troublesome foe to deal with. In the end, he'd even fallen to her poison.

Zu An was clearly weaker than the octopus lady, so how could he instant-kill her?

Did Miss Firework secretly make a move? Did she pretend to fall for the poison?

“Second sister!” the scissors-wielding fatty exclaimed in shock. He rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

The birdman was bewildered. He wasn't on good terms with the octopus lady as the latter often snatched his women, and he had been coveting her position as number two for a while now, but seeing her drop dead all of a sudden still filled him with melancholy.

Only Fire Knight had seen what happened. Zu An had whipped out a pitch-black knife to cut one of the octopus lady’s tentacles. Black runes immediately appeared all over her body, and she died right away despite her tremendous regeneration.

He yelled, “His knife has an instant-kill effect. Avoid it at all costs!”

The other monsters were shocked. They finally understood what had happened.

Zu An sighed. He'd been planning to assassinate the other monsters with the Poisonous Prick, but little had he expected to be seen through right away.

Earlier, he'd swapped positions with Fire Knight right before the octopus lady’s tentacles connected, causing the attacks to fall on Fire Knight instead. At the same time, he'd exploited the octopus lady’s lapse in attention to charge up to her and wound her with the Poisonous Prick.

He had witnessed Employee 9527’s earlier fight with the octopus lady, so he'd known about her tremendous regenerative prowess and that it would be difficult to kill her with ordinary means. Fortunately, his Poisonous Prick happened to curb that.

In truth, he hadn’t been certain if it would work out. Perhaps these skills had worked on enemies in the Cultivation World and the Monster World, but they could have fallen short when dealing with even stronger enemies in the Myriad Worlds.

And yet, everything had still turned out fine.

Ideally, Zu An would have assassinated the strongest Fire Knight with the Poisonous Prick, but the latter had unfathomable strength and was enveloped in flames. He doubted he would be able to hurt the latter.

Rather than risk revealing his trump card but failing to achieve anything, he'd decided to take the safer route and eliminate an enemy first.

The octopus lady was the second strongest in the group, and her tentacles were simply too disgusting. Even he was intimidated by them, let alone Firework. The last thing he wanted was for those tentacles to touch his body. It also helped that the octopus lady’s flailing tentacles had been spread throughout the warehouse, making it easier for him to stab her.

Firework stared at the man holding her in astonishment. A smile emerged on her lips, and she remarked, “Big brother, you’re incredible.”

Fire Knight asked with a coarse voice, “How could you have moved me? That’s a skill at the level of a world law! And that sure-kill dagger too! How can someone as weak as you possess so many overpowered skills and treasures? I get it now. I should have expected this much from the master of a Wonderpoint World. No wonder Wonderpoint World masters across the Myriad Worlds are so powerful. Those places are indeed littered with treasures.”

The birdman’s eyes lit up. “Boss, have we struck it rich this time?”

Other Wonderpoint World masters were top-tier powerhouses, whereas this fellow was pathetically weak. While he did have some troublesome skills, those wouldn’t pose a threat once they learned about and guarded against them.

It’s me, not we. If I monopolize his Wonderpoint World, skills, treasures, and weapons, it will only be a matter of time before I reach a level on par with the other powerhouses of the Myriad Worlds! Although Fire Knight would never say those words aloud.

He twisted his wheelchair handle. The sharp spikes at the back of his chair unleashed intense flames, making him look like a blazing sun. The flames first enveloped the warehouse before morphing into floating flowers.

He smiled in satisfaction as he said, “I've sealed off the area. There’s no way he can escape now.”

That was indeed the case, as the surrounding spatial ki had turned viscous. It would be impossible to overcome this seal unless one was stronger than Fire Knight or adept at spatial formations.

“Be careful, big brother. This is a very powerful spatial seal. It’ll greatly diminish the effectiveness of your movement skills and instantaneous movement. You have to take that into account when you fight them,” Firework reminded Zu An.

Zu An nodded. It wasn't his first time encountering such spatial seals, so he wouldn’t make such an elementary mistake.

There was no question these monsters were stronger than him, but strength wasn't the sole determining factor in the outcome of a fight. For instance, oxen were much stronger than lions and tigers, but they were often still hunted down by the latter.

Combat experience, artifacts, abilities, and skills could easily affect the outcome of a battle.

Judging from the earlier clash, Zu An could tell that he wasn't as weak as he thought at first, and the experts of the Myriad Worlds weren’t as strong as he imagined, either. He would struggle against them, but he still had a shot at victory.

“Number Three, Number Four, you two strike together. I’ll control the formation from the side. The battle will be over as soon as he reveals an opening!” Fire Knight ordered the others.

He was a wary person, and he didn’t dare to let his guard down despite being the stronger one here. Despite the storms he had weathered, he'd still been startled by Zu An’s position swap ability and sure-kill dagger. If the latter had more of such artifacts, there was a chance that he would be defeated. It was safer for him to dispatch his underlings first to probe Zu An’s trump cards.

The birdman could tell what their boss was thinking, and the truth was that he was also intimidated by Zu An after witnessing how his second sister had died earlier. However, he didn’t dare to refute his boss in public. So, he racked his brain and sent a telepathic message, “Number Four, our boss’ seal has limited the effectiveness of my movement skills. You’ll take the front later, and I’ll support you from the flank.”

“Okay! Let’s avenge second sister!” The fatty flailed his big scissors as he snipped at Zu An from afar.

Alarmed, Zu An hurriedly dodged to the side. A huge gorge appeared where he'd been standing before, as if invisible scissors had snipped it open.

“Eat my scissors!”

The fatty displayed agility that contrasted with his massive physique, releasing snip after snip at Zu An. The birdman also launched a barrage of claw swipes at Zu An from all directions.

With a flick of his wrist, Zu An whipped out the Tai’e Sword to deflect the attacks. My movement speed has been reduced by around 30%. That makes it much harder to cope with their attacks.

Fire Knight frowned. Even though Zu An looked flustered, he still dodged all of the attacks with his delicate footwork. How does he wield such formidable combat ability when he’s so weak? Only someone who often treads along the boundary of life and death could hone such combat sense. I can’t drag this on anymore!

So, he shouted, “Aim for the weaker one!”

The birdman and fatty caught his drift and directed their attacks at Firework.

This immediately put Zu An at a critical disadvantage. He was already barely holding on, and having his weakness targeted broke the delicate balance. Gashes appeared on his body. If not for his sharp combat sense, he would have been crippled by now.

His blood splattered on Firework’s face. She shouted angrily, “You’re renowned figures in the Myriad Worlds! Have a sense of shame!”
