King of Titans and Dragons-Chapter 52 - Song of the Sea Siren
Chapter 52: Chapter 52 Song of the Sea Siren
Chapter 52 -52 Song of the Sea Siren
“Your Majesty, it is time to preside over the assembly at the White Jade Divine Palace.” It was the onset of yet another month, and as Muria was sleeping soundly in his bed, a Storm Giant walked in to report to him.
“Hmm!” Muria lifted his head, just barely opening his sleep-filled eyes, grunted in acknowledgment, and then turned his back to the Storm Giant, “You wait here, I will sleep a bit more.”
When the day was three poles high, Muria finally woke up, he sat up and lavishly stretched. This was the life he wanted, sleeping till naturally awake and counting money till his hand…
Hmm, never mind that; things like money were too inferior to his current status. They were no longer what he sought after. According to the Storm Giants’ reports, they had already explored several rich gold and silver mines on Taiji Island.
Nonetheless, Muria did not order to start mining. He already had plenty of gold, silver, and gemstones in his castle. Having more would only eat up his space. Gold and silver were inedible, unsuitable for forging, and useless beyond decorative purposes.
“Oh, why are you still here?” Muria tilted his head and spotted the Storm Giant who had been kneeling all this while.
“As per your order, your Majesty, I have been waiting.” The Storm Giant answered respectfully.
“How long have you been waiting?” Muria glanced at the brilliant sunlight outside the window and realized that the Storm Giant must have been kneeling there for quite a while.
“He didn’t wait that long, he just waited for you for a little over three hours.” At this moment, a cold and immature voice answered Muria’s question.
Muria turned his head and spotted a white-haired little girl engrossed in her books, sitting near the edge of the bed that was spacious enough to accommodate his Titan form. “Yo, Clodia, good morning.”
“Morning has already passed.” Clodia gave Muria a blank stare and corrected, “Moreover, you should go to the White Jade Divine Palace now.
The representatives of the Giants and leaders of The Sea Clan have been waiting for you all morning.”
“Ahem, I’ll go now.” Muria coughed in mild embarrassment. Since his awakening, the colossal power he possessed had given him high confidence. He no longer needed the Storm Giants as his ruling base; his personal martial strength was enough.
Thus, he had become somewhat lax about the monthly meetings he used to preside over promptly before he went into hibernation. He no longer took these meetings seriously, and Muria did not believe that anyone on Taiji Island would dare to betray him after seeing his true form.
“I’ll come too.” Clodia dropped her book, turned to look at Muria, and continued, “Going to the White Jade Divine Palace and watching you preside over the meeting is both a visual and spiritual pleasure.”
“Sure.” Without any hesitation, Muria agreed. As the unique Academic Overlord amongst hundreds of Five Colored Dragons, Muria was exceptionally tolerant towards Clodia, almost always fulfilling her requests.
“Your Majesty!” When Muria along with Clodia took up the platform of the castle, sixty Storm Giants wearing distinctive armor rode in on their Giant Peng and saluted Muria.
“Hmm.” Muria gently nodded in response. Now, there were more than three hundred Storm Giants under his command, out of which only about sixty possessed Giant Peng as their mounts. These were the elite amongst the Storm Giants.
Hence, Muria gave an order that only when he traveled, would these Storm Giants with Giant Peng accompany him, acting as his honorary parade.
“Let’s go!” A 32 meter tall teenage Titan stretched out his wings, covered with golden feather-like scales, and then leaned over to pick up a comparatively small white dragon.
“Let go, I can fly on my own.” The white dragon, Clodia, wriggled in Muria’s embrace.
“You’re too slow, we can’t wait for you. Be good, don’t strive.” Muria patted the white dragon in his arms and soothed her in a gentle voice. With a fierce flap of his golden wings, he and the white dragon rose into the sky.
“Caw! Caw!”…Behind Muria, one after another, Storm Giants rode on the Giant Peng, following closely behind.
Up in the sky, above the vast forest, surrounded by many Storm Giant Knights, Muria flew for a bit and soon saw a pure white city.
Within the city, giants of various heights and skin tones bustled around, presenting a harmonious and prosperous scene.
When Muria and his entourage flew over the Giant City, one giant after another knelt down in devotion after seeing his silhouette, regardless of their age and race.
Muria looked down to see a sea of bowed heads, his face did not betray any emotion. At first, he used to be amazed and awe-struck by such a sight, but year after year, month after month, Muria became habituated and eventually indifferent to it.
He flew straight into the White Jade Divine Palace located in the center of the Giant City and landed in the largest of the Divine Palaces, folding his wings as he walked in.
“Buzz! Buzz!” The moment Muria stepped into the council chamber, he could hear the clamor of discussions. However, as soon as the giants and leaders of The Sea Clan in the hall spotted him, the entire hall fell into pin-drop silence.
“Prince Mureya.” The silence in the main hall was broken after barely three seconds, all the giants and leaders of The Sea Clan knelt down and saluted Mureya. Their demeanor reflected unparalleled respect, Mureya’s current strength was enough to arouse their deep reverence.
“What are you all discussing? Let me hear it.” Muria in his Titan Form climbed onto the nine-tiered tower platform, turned around to sit on a large throne, and looked down at those below.
“Your Majesty, we were just discussing why you…today…” A six-armed Naga spoke up, paused, then cautiously glanced at Muria before continuing, “Why did you come later than usual today?”
“Oh?” Muria’s brows knitted briefly before quickly smoothing out. With a smile on his face, he looked at the six-armed Naga who had spoken, “I remember you are called Diana, right?”
“Yes, Your Majesty.” Diana, the half-human, half-snake Six-armed Naga bowed her head and responded, “For you to remember my name is an immense honor for me.”
“Hmm, as flamboyant as ever.” Muria muttered under his breath upon hearing the flattering words from the Naga leader with a peculiar and enchanting face below.
“I was delayed by some special matters today, that’s why I am late.” Muria thick-skinnedly explained to the Giant and Sea Clan leaders below. He certainly could not say he was late because he overslept. That would be too embarrassing.
Muria’s words caused the faces of the Storm Giants, who had followed him into the grand hall and were stationed around, to twitch. They all knew why Muria was late today but none were foolish enough to expose his lie. It wasn’t a matter of life and death.
Next, following the usual meeting procedures staged by Muria previously, first he would receive all the Giants who had come to Taiji Island the previous month. Then he would listen to the reports from the Giant representatives on Taiji Island and the leaders of the Sea Clan.
Many Cloud Giant leaders still reported to Muria about how much more they had expanded Giant City and the other eight exiled Cloud Giant leaders reported to Muria about the output of fruits and meat on the islands for which they were responsible.
However, the reports from the Tidal Giants and Sea Clan leaders bored Muria more as they reported on the crystal gems and other treasures they had scavenged in the boundless ocean.
Only the report from the Mountain Giant representative stirred some interest in Muria. After living with numerous Cloud Giants for many years, many Mountain Giants had abandoned their savagery, recognized their ignorance and begun to learn proactively.
The Mountain Giants in Giant City were no longer the same wild Giants wielding wooden sticks and wearing animal skins. They too had learned to dress and whenever one saw a Mountain Giant in the streets of Giant City, it was generally one wearing soft robes.
As for the weapons used by the Mountain Giants, those too had been completely replaced. The method of forging Giant weapons could not be learned in a short time so the Mountain Giants could not forge metal weapons on their own yet, but they would request the help of the Cloud Giants.
Thus, every Mountain Giant residing in Giant City for long durations would undergo a complete transformation. And this transformation would leave every newly arriving Mountain Giant in Giant City in disbelief.
“I have a question.” Muria raised his hand to stop the ongoing report from a Giant representative detailing the new image of the Mountain Giants in Giant City, “You mentioned many Mountain Giants in Giant City are striving to learn. So I ask, if I assign you a large construction task, could your Mountain Giants complete it independently?”

“They can.” Upon hearing Muria’s question, the Mountain Giant representative hesitated for a second before answering with firm determination.
“Very good!” Muria smiled. He had long thought that the talent of Mountain Giants was for construction work. He had wished to establish a construction unit composed of Mountain Giants for a long time but because of their low level of knowledge, it had not been established.
“I want you to plan and design a road from Giant City to the Five-Color Dragon Fortress. I wish to see your construction blueprints before I leave today.” Muria assigned a task to the Mountain Giants.
“As you wish, Your Majesty.” The Mountain Giants in the grand hall withdrew in succession. They had to discuss and quickly design the blueprints before the deadline Muria had given.
“Has everyone finished reporting?” As the night shrouded the land, Muria, with his chin propped up, asked lazily.
“Everyone has finished reporting!”
“The Mountain Giants haven’t come yet?” Muria frowned. Then he looked at the spot in the grand hall where the Sea Clan leaders were standing. There were more than a dozen light blue water spheres suspended in the air, with beautiful mermaids whose upper bodies resembled humans, floating within the spheres.
This was the Mermaids’ method of coming ashore, an idea cooked up those who enjoyed being in the water. They were only attending the meeting and did not need to fight, so there was no need to choose the uncomfortable method of turning their fishtails into human legs.
“Sea siren and the favored children of the sea, Mermaids.” Muria looked at the distinctly different mermaids below. He recalled the contents recorded in his inherited memories and a strong curiosity arose:
“I heard that sea sirens enjoy sitting on reefs and singing. Their voices can enchant all creatures nearby, often causing passing ships to run aground and sink. Could those Siren leaders among you let me experience this kind of singing?”
“Your Majesty, our song will enchant most creatures’ minds. Isn’t it inappropriate to sing here?” A generously endowed Sea Siren, with the lower body of a fish and the upper body of a human woman, covered modestly by seashells, spoke with some difficulty.
“Hmm, what? Siren Leader, do you think the enchanting voices of your Sea sirens will bewitch me?” Muria narrowed his eyes, looked expressionlessly down at the beautiful Mermaid
“I hadn’t thought so, Your Majesty.” The Sea Siren lowered her head fearfully, “I will sing for you now.”
