"We will figure it out Mei Mei." He assured her. "When I left, your mother’s trusted men were already working on Mo Liang. By the time we return, she will know what that secret is."

She nodded. Her facial expression changed into one of mischief as a brilliant idea crossed her mind. "Maybe we should put the peepstar on the job."

Jingzhe sniggered. The peepstar was the best at digging up secrets and scandals. Truly, if they put the paparazzo on the job, they would get the answers they wanted. The problem was that they would get those answers at the same time as the rest of the world. The paparazzo would no doubt blast it everywhere.

But, that was not the only problem Jingzhe foresaw. His face darkened and he said, "That is not a good idea. Inviting someone that thrives on gossip into our life will make them think they have a clear pass to dig even in places where they should not be looking.

One minute they will uncover Long Bo’s dirt and the next, they will find my fake jelly fish or something else. Your mother has done this job for more than three decades. We should have more faith in her than a paparazzo."

Mei Mei agreed. She had bee thinking short term, not long term. But then, another mischievous idea crossed her mind. "Or we send Lele in."

Jingzhe was stunned. Had she really suggested that they send a giant python in to find out what secret Mo Liang was hiding? Much as it was an effective method of getting Mo Liang to spill his secret, it was really out of the box.

"I am definitely going to send Lele to prison to pay him a visit whether he spills his secret or not." Mei Mei said with determination.

She thought she was done torturing her ex husband but suddenly discovered that there was still more in her. "Let’s sit down for a while."

He moved back and shrugged off his coat before laying it down for her. Both of them squeezed on it, right next to Noodles growing collection of sea food.

Mei Mei had not come with a bag but she had the space and Jingzhe had seen her using it a time or two. Never once did her ask a question.

She waved her hand and an medium sized ice cooler appeared next to her. She waved it again and got a pair of tongs.

He took them from her, walked around and started picking up the sea food and placing it in the cooler.

"Aren’t you going to ask?" She looked at him curiously.

Any other person would have a list of one thousand questions or they would be calling the police, army and every law enforcement agency in the world. A greedy person would be scheming how to take advantage of this to make money.

"Your mother single handedly started and escalated the smart tech boom in the world." He answered as he placed the fifth fish in the cooler. "If she can invent lightning guns and gadgets like that, I am sure she can invent whatever it is that you use to hide things."

Mei Mei snorted.

"Besides," he looked at her and smiled, "I saw her feeding your horses at home. She fed them at least thirty apples in total and she had no bag of apples around. Your father did not even bat his eyes. Heck, all your family members that saw her just acted normal. Me on the other hand....my eyes bulged in shock. So, when I realized that you share that talent with your mother....."

"Son of a ..." Mei Mei screamed and slapped her own shut.

Jingzhe was startled.

Noodles hissed and jumped up.

Mei Mei was coming to the realization that her mother was a possible system host. No....she shook her head....not possible but real system host. It would explain the origin of the technology and the space which was like hers.

She gasped.

"What?" Jingzhe asked her.

"T4...C4...." She whispered and gasped again.

"What?" Jingzhe shouted, grabbing her shoulders and shaking them. "Mei Mei, for heavens sake what is it?"

"I need to talk to my mother." She said and scrambled to stand.

Jingzhe pushed her back down and held her down with more strength than before. "Mei Mei, your father took your mother to the private nude beach owned by Duke Lorenzo. I don’t think they will appreciate you showing up there for any reason. Even if they are not among the nudists, other people there will be naked."

They heard a cat’s cry and turned their heads to the ocean. Earlier, she had let go of the leash and Noodles had swum out further than she should have gone. The poor kitty looked like she was about to drown.

Jingzhe dashed away like a crazy man, screaming "get out of the water, swim Noodles swim."

Mei Mei got to her feet and walked closer to the water, worry pouring from her eyes. She was puzzled as to why Noodles was struggling. Weren’t cats supposed to be good swimmers? Noodles did it all the time at home in the swimming pool.

If the cat died, Mingzhu was going to pull out her sword and kill them.

Jingzhe came out of the water, cradling Noodles against his chest. The cat was crying like a baby, shivering too.

She rushed back for Jingzhe’s coat and covered it, leaving it where it was, on his chest. "What happened?"

"Sea weed." He replied, patting the cat’s head. "It was stuck and panicking."

Mei Mei huffed, calming herself down. "No more fishing for her. Let’s go back to the hotel before she does something else that is risky and gets us both killed by Mingzhu."

He laughed but fell into step with her. "I never took you for a coward Mei Mei. Where is your sense of adventure?"

"I have been on adventure since I arrived in this kingdom. From the deadly hikes, the upside down buses, kangaroo parks, rude monkeys, water rafting, cave diving to horse racing, I have experienced more adventure on this vacation than I care for." She answered, thinking back on some of the activities they had enjoyed so far. "What I want to do right now is return to the hotel, take a bath and lay down in a hammock while watching fire dancers."

"We can do that." He slipped a hand around her waist. "As long as we do something in the hammock."

She rolled her eyes. "Male vixen, your brain is filled with lewd thoughts lately."

He laughed. "Only when it concerns you my dear. We have opened the tap, there is no closing it."

They laughed and walked. Mei Mei had already forgotten that she had seen something in one of the pictures which she meant to bring up. She had also forgotten that she wanted to talk to her mother about the system.

She was thinking about the illegal dress which she had brought. She would surprise Jingzhe by wearing it tonight.
