Last Gun Alchemist-Chapter 66: First Slaughter
Ezra stood quietly.
One hand rested against the cold stone wall of the Maze while the other supported Aliya’s body across his shoulder. The wall felt damp beneath his fingers, rough and uneven, the stone looked like it had been scratched by years of battles that had taken place in this place.
He stared down at the ground for a while, then continued walking even while his mind was not calm.
It was a storm.
Fragments of memory kept replaying inside his head, the bloody scene of the family he had slaughtered in what seemed to be his past life flashing again and again before his eyes as if someone kept forcing him to watch it.
The gunshots, the screams and the smell of blood.
Ezra finally understood something he had refused to admit before.
The urge to retaliate at the slightest provocation.
The kill intent that naturally flowed from him when anger rose.
The strange feeling that sometimes appeared in his chest when he faced an enemy — a feeling that whispered to him that killing would solve everything.
All of that had started after he awakened these past memories, but his morals had always held him back.
Even when the instinct appeared, he pushed it away.
He told himself he was different.
He told himself he would survive the Trial without turning into the kind of monster the families wanted these children to become.
He wanted to prove something.
That he was better.
Better than the nobles, better than the killers, better than the system that forced children to slaughter each other.
But the truth...Ezra knew it himself.
Yes.
He had been naïve.
That same naïveté made him believe his mother might have had a reason for abandoning him.
That same naïveté almost trapped him in the illusion of the sixth stage and in the end...
That same naïveté had cost someone her life.
Ezra exhaled slowly and lifted his head.
"Huh?"
One of Jadon’s group members noticed him first.
The boy frowned when he saw Ezra kneeling carefully on the ground, gently laying Aliya’s body down as if she were only sleeping.
"He actually came back..." Pamela muttered in disbelief.
"I told you he would return to save that boy," Jadon said with a smirk.
Behind them Bobby was tied tightly at both his wrists and legs. His face was bruised, and after waking earlier and throwing a tantrum he had been knocked unconscious again.
"But why did he bring Aliya’s body with him?" Cale asked, the gunshot to his stomach now healed.
His voice carried confusion.
"Does it matter?"
One of Jadon’s men cracked his neck loudly while clenching his fists.
"Look at his face. That guy’s already broken."
He pulled out a long sword from his space bag.
"With that empty look in his eyes, he’s an easy kill."
The boy grinned arrogantly.
"Hey Jadon, let me do the honors. I’ll cut off a few limbs and drag him over for Lady Pamela to have the final kill."
He swung his blade confidently.
Jadon did not immediately respond, he simply watched Ezra.
Ezra was still kneeling, still looking at Aliya’s body.
Then Jadon waved his hand slightly.
The boy smiled wider.
He walked toward Ezra.
Lime watched everything quietly from the side, close to where Bobby was tied.
His eyes stayed fixed on Ezra.
Is he that shocked by Aliya’s death...?
He remembered Ezra’s personality.
That calm and serious boy who never showed weakness even when Bobby and he himself had slowed him down many times.
So even he can break.
Lime forced a smirk onto his face, cold sweat rolled down his forehead.
Too bad Aliya had to die. If she had just listened to Ezra and we left earlier...
His fists clenched slightly.
Then I wouldn’t have had to betray them.
"It’s all for my survival," he whispered to himself.
Meanwhile Ezra quietly examined Aliya’s body.
The blood on his clothes had already begun drying.
"Her blood has stopped," he muttered softly.
"Hey, lowline!"
The approaching boy slammed his sword against the ground loudly.
"What are you staring at on the dead girl’s body?"
He laughed loudly.
Ezra slowly lifted his eyes, then he glanced at Aliya again.
Then at the twelve people standing behind the boy.
A thought appeared in his mind.
Why did I even come back here?
He stood up slowly.
Blood dripped quietly from his fingers onto the stone floor.
"Looks like he’s gone mute," the boy mocked.
"I heard you were ranked seventeenth, but look at you now. Just a lifeless loser."
The boy raised his sword high.
"I’ll be taking a few of your limbs, lowli..."
Snap.
The sound of bone breaking echoed through the Maze.
The moment the sword began descending, Ezra stepped forward.
His body moved so fast it looked like he had simply vanished.
His palm struck the boy’s elbow joint.
The joint bent the wrong way.
"AAAAHHHH!" The scream echoed like a siren alarm.
The sword fell from his hand.
Before the boy could react again, Ezra’s hand shot forward and wrapped around his throat.
He lifted him off the ground.
The boy’s legs kicked violently in the air.
His dislocated arm swung uselessly like a broken pendulum.
Ezra’s fingers tightened.
Slowly and relentlessly.
Blood began seeping from the boy’s mouth.
"Why the hell... did I ever think not killing was a good idea?"
Ezra spoke quietly.
Their eyes met and the boy finally understood.
The boy had never seen Ezra before, but in that moment, he saw something terrifying.
The boy standing before him was not fighting for revenge.
Not fighting for justice.
He was fighting for survival.
The same instinct that once made him join the army.
The same instinct that made him fall in love with weapons.
The same instinct that whispered that the only way to live...
Was to eliminate everything standing in the way.
"HEY, HEY, HEY!" Jadon snapped loudly, clapping his hands together in frustration as he looked at the stunned faces around him. "Are you all just going to stand there and not shoot him!"
His voice cut through the tension like a whip.
Immediately everyone moved.
Jadon’s group drew their Acu-Vector Mk.I. handgun from their space bags, their fingers already resting on the triggers as their Cognis flowed faintly through their arms to steady their aim. At the same time Cale, Jimmy, and Nile threw several steel bars onto the ground and clapped their hands together.
Alchemy circles formed beneath their palms.
Cognis surged.
The steel bars trembled violently before melting, twisting and reforming into the same weapon — Acu-Vector Mk.I.
Only Pamela remained still.
Her eyes never left Ezra.
Lime also didn’t join them, standing several steps away while watching over Bobby’s unconscious body.
Meanwhile the boy Ezra held continued choking violently.
Blood dripped slowly from the corner of his lips and throat where Ezra’s fingers crushed deeper and deeper into his neck, the cartilage of the boy’s windpipe cracking faintly under the pressure.
Then the gunshots erupted.
The moment the thunder of gunfire echoed across the Maze; the boy’s body stopped struggling.
Ezra did not even look down.
His calm gaze lifted toward the storm approaching him.
Thousands of needles filled the air.
The projectiles flew like a swarm of metal insects, their sharp tips glinting faintly under the dim light of the Maze as they rushed forward with terrifying speed.
Ezra’s eyes narrowed slightly.
Without hesitation he hurled the boy’s corpse forward.
The dead body flew directly into the path of the incoming storm.
Ezra jumped immediately after.
His body twisted in midair, adjusting perfectly behind the falling corpse, using the limp body like a shield.
Needles pierced through flesh.
Hundreds of metallic sounds rang out as the storm buried itself into the corpse.
Blood exploded outward in a mist.
"You think you can just escape like that!" Jadon shouted angrily.
In the same moment he reached into his space bag and pulled out a Baske 1945.
The weapon gleamed with cold metal under the dim light.
Jadon planted his feet firmly into the ground, Cognis spreading through his legs to stabilize his stance as he aimed without hesitation.
He fired.
BOOM!
The sound exploded like thunder trapped inside a cave.
The Baske bullet tore through the air.
At that exact moment Ezra’s Cognis surged outward.
A steel nugget, a rope and a piece of wood.
He threw them out of his space bag instantly.
Clap!
The alchemy circle burst into existence between his palms.
The materials trembled violently before collapsing inward.
Metal twisted.
Wood split apart.
The materials compressed violently before reconstructing into a Harpoon Gun.
At the same time the Baske bullet tore through the corpse Ezra had thrown.
A massive hole exploded through the boy’s chest.
The bullet continued forward.
Ezra fired the harpoon upward.
The harpoon shot through the air like a spear launched by a ballista.
CRACK!
It slammed into the tall stone ceiling and buried itself deep into the rock.
The rope snapped tight instantly.
Ezra’s legs exploded with strength as Cognis surged through his muscles.
He jumped.
The Baske bullet and the remaining needles passed through the space he had been standing in a fraction of a second earlier.
The rope pulled him upward violently.
His body shot toward the ceiling like a launched arrow.
Then...
BOOM!
Ezra landed on the ceiling with terrifying force.
The stone cracked beneath his feet; fragments of rock rained downward.
The moment he stabilized himself he immediately pulled out one of the revolvers he had crafted earlier along with a thin steel rope.
He dropped the revolver.
Clap!
Cognis roared from his hands.
The alchemy circle formed instantly.
This time the circle was different.
Electric symbols glowed along its edges and center.
"HE’S ABOVE US!" Nile shouted.
Everyone looked upward and saw Ezra moving down from on top them.
"Bring out your shields immediately!" Jadon ordered.
The group reacted instantly.
Several boys pulled out metal shields, raising them above their heads while the others crouched behind them.
Cale, Jimmy, Nile, Lime, and Pamela moved behind the shield bearers.
Ezra slammed his palm down onto the falling materials.
The materials dissolved instantly.
Metal softened and twisted as the internal components rearranged themselves under the control of the alchemy circle.
Within seconds the revolver reformed into a Taser Gun.
Ezra fired.
Two electrified darts shot downward, thin steel wires trailed behind them. The darts struck a shield.
For a moment nothing happened.
Then...
CRACK!!!
Violent electricity exploded across the shield.
A blinding arc of lightning spread across the metal surface and into the body of the boy holding it.
"AAAAAAARGH!!!"
The boy screamed violently.
His entire body convulsed.
The electricity surged across his muscles like a raging storm.
The other boys jumped away from him instinctively.
A normal taser produced 30,000–50,000 volts, but Ezra’s weapon was different.
The alchemy process combined with Cognis amplification had pushed the output far beyond the normal limit.
The boy’s body spasmed violently as smoke began rising from his clothes.
Before the electricity even stopped...
BOOM!
Ezra dropped from the ceiling.
His body slammed into the boy with crushing force.
Bones shattered instantly.
The boy’s legs bent unnaturally beneath the impact, both arms dislocated violently, his lungs expelled the last of his breath in a broken wheeze.
He lay barely alive, twitching weakly.
Ezra’s Cognis surged again.
Clap!
Another alchemy circle formed, as the taser in his hand melted instantly.
Metal flowed like liquid before reshaping itself.
Within seconds the weapon transformed into a Kel-Tec PMR-30.
Ezra raised the pistol.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Six bullets tore through the boy’s skull.
Blood splashed across Ezra’s face.
Bone fragments scattered across the ground.
The body finally went still.
Silence spread through the battlefield.
Several members of the group instinctively stepped backward.
Their sense of danger screamed in their minds.
"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!" Jadon shouted angrily. "He’s just one man!"
But even as he shouted the words, hesitation spread among them.
Cale and Nile looked at each other.
Without speaking they grabbed shields from the people who held them and threw their handguns aside.
Both of them pulled out their long swords.
"AHHHHHH!!!"
They charged at Ezra together.
Pamela’s eyes widened, she wanted to shout wanting to stop them, but her body would not move.
Since Ezra had returned with Aliya’s corpse something kept whispering in her mind.
A terrifying instinct whispered inside her mind.
If you move now... you will die.
Meanwhile Cale rushed forward from the front while Nile circled toward Ezra’s back.
The rest of the group forced themselves to move again.
Ezra raised the PMR-30 and fired.
The bullet aimed directly at Cale’s leg.
CLANG!
Cale blocked it with his shield while charging forward.
Ezra fired again instantly.
The second shot aimed directly for Cale’s head.
Cale raised the shield again, deflecting the bullet but losing momentum.
Then...In rapid movement.
Bang!
The third bullet struck his thigh.
"AAAAAH!"
Cale collapsed to the ground, dropping heavily as the sword and shield slipped from his grip.
Nile saw his friend on the ground but he couldn’t stop, he swung his sword toward Ezra’s neck.
Ezra stepped backward.
The blade sliced through the air inches from his throat.
Nile pushed forward aggressively, slamming his shield forward in an attempt to drive Ezra back.
But Ezra moved.
His body spun around, Nile in a blur.
Before Nile could even react, Ezra had already moved behind him.
Bang!
The first bullet shattered Nile’s right knee joint.
Bang!
The second destroyed his left knee joint.
Bang!
Bang!
Both elbow joints exploded under the next two shots.
Nile dropped the sword instantly.
Bang!
Bang!
Two more bullets shattered the cartilage inside his ears.
Blood sprayed outward.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
Nile collapsed to the ground screaming uncontrollably.
His limbs twitched violently.
He could no longer move his body.
The sword and shield slipped from his hands as his nervous system shut down under the pain.
Three people rushed at Ezra at the same time, two of them holding revolvers while the third carried a shield raised in front of his body.
The two boys with the revolvers fired almost immediately.
The shots rang loudly through the Maze.
Ezra tilted his body slightly, his feet sliding across the ground with smooth control as the bullets passed past his shoulder and ear by a narrow margin. Without wasting a single breath, he bent down and grabbed Nile’s broken leg, lifting the screaming boy like a sack of meat.
With a violent swing of his arm, Ezra hurled Nile forward.
Nile’s body crashed hard into the girl holding the shield.
The impact slammed into her chest and knocked her backward, her feet losing balance as her body stumbled directly into the two boys behind her who were trying to aim their revolvers again.
All four bodies collided together in a messy tangle.
Ezra moved.
Before the girl could even push Nile’s body away from her, Ezra had already appeared in front of her.
His leg shot forward.
Boom!
His boot smashed directly into her face.
The impact snapped her head backward violently as blood burst out of her nose and mouth, her body lifting slightly off the ground before collapsing backward into the boys behind her.
One of the boys managed to push himself up quickly despite the chaos.
His revolver snapped upward and fired at Ezra from close range, but Ezra weaved it tilting his body away from the bullet, then his hand moved faster.
He grabbed the boy’s wrist mid-shot.
The gun fired again...
But Ezra twisted the boy’s arm.
The muzzle redirected.
The bullet shot directly toward the other boy who had just planted his hand on the ground to lift himself up.
"ARGH!"
The bullet pierced straight through the boy’s shoulder and knocked him back onto the pile of bodies.
Before Ezra could move again...
Bang!
A sudden storm of needle bullets shot toward him from the side.
One of Jadon’s goons had already finished creating and loading his Acu-Vector Mk.I.
The weapon spat out a rapid burst of needles.
Ezra reacted instantly; his foot kicked upward on the shield the girl had dropped, flipping it into the air.
Ezra caught it with one hand while before catching it he quickly shoved the Kel-Tec PMR-30 back into his space bag.
He raised the shield in front of him.
Clang! Clang! Clang! Clang!
The storm of needles smashed against the shield while he still gripped the boy’s wrist.
The burst of needles did not only strike the shield.
Some of the shots passed the edges.
They tore directly into Nile and the two injured boy and girl lying behind Ezra.
"AHHHHH!"
Their screams filled the Maze.
Needles pierced into their bodies.
The boy and the girl died almost instantly from the barrage.
Nile survived only because Ezra’s body partially blocked the line of fire, leaving him barely alive but twitching weakly on the ground.
"What the hell are you doing!" Pamela shouted furiously at the boy who fired the gun. "Nile is..."
She stopped mid-sentence; her body still refused to move. That strange instinct continued screaming inside her mind.
Do not move.
Ezra suddenly moved again.
He hurled the shield like a spinning discus, the shield cut through the air rotating.
The boy who fired the Acu-Vector barely had time to widen his eyes before the shield smashed into his face.
His body spun sideways in the air before crashing face-first onto the ground while the shield rebounded off the wall with a loud metallic clang.
Meanwhile Ezra still held the wrist of the boy he had grabbed earlier.
With calm brutality, he lifted the arm slightly.
Then he drove his knee down. The arm snapped like a wooden plank.
The boy screamed in agony.
Ezra twisted his body.
In a fluid motion he flipped the boy over his shoulder and judo slammed him onto the ground.
The impact knocked the air from the boy’s lungs.
Before he could scream again...Ezra stepped on his throat.
His boot crushed down slowly.
The boy’s eyes bulged.
Ezra pulled the Kel-Tec PMR-30 back out.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Five bullets tore through the boy’s stomach.
Blood sprayed across the ground; the boy’s body twitched violently as his organs were shredded.
Then Ezra pressed harder with his foot.
CRACK.
The throat collapsed under his weight.
The boy went silent.
Ezra turned his head slightly.
Without even looking properly...
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Three bullets smashed into Nile’s skull, killing him instantly.
Behind Ezra, Cale was slowly charging forward in rage, sword raised high.
Ezra didn’t even turn.
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Bang!
Five bullets struck Cale’s head accurately at the same spot.
The momentum of his run carried him forward a few steps before his body collapsed lifelessly onto the ground.
Silence fell.
The remaining seven people stood frozen.
The sound of Ezra crushing the boy’s throat echoed faintly in their ears.
Four of them with Jimmy instinctively stepped backward.
Lime had already retreated further, hiding partially behind Bobby’s unconscious body.
Jadon looked at them, angry and frustrated, then he sighed.
"I will handle this myself." He stepped forward calmly.
He lifted a shield with one hand, a Baske 1945 hung from the strap across his shoulder and a dagger rested in his right hand.
The others felt some of their fear ease slightly when they saw him step forward.
After all, Jadon was the strongest among them and now he was finally entering the fight.
"Fight me, lowline!" Jadon roared as he suddenly charged at Ezra, his shield raised high and the dagger in his right hand ready to strike.
Ezra did not hesitate.
His hand slipped into his space bag and he pulled out his dagger while running forward as well, his feet sliding across the stone floor with controlled speed.
The distance between them vanished instantly.
Jadon slammed forward with his shield like a charging bull, intending to crush Ezra backward with the weight of the metal plate.
But Ezra reacted instantly.
His foot stepped directly onto the face of the shield.
Using the forward momentum of Jadon’s charge, Ezra pushed himself upward and performed a swift backward somersault, flipping over the shield while his body twisted in the air.
Jadon’s eyes flashed.
Without wasting a second, he dropped the shield slightly and grabbed the Baske 1945 strapped behind his shoulder.
The heavy firearm came forward in one smooth motion.
Boom!
The Baske fired.
The thunderous shot shook the air.
Ezra twisted his body sideways in midair.
The massive bullet tore past him, grazing his skin.
The heat from the shot burned a strip of flesh along his side.
The smell of scorched skin filled the air, but Ezra did not even react.
The moment his feet touched the ground he raised the Kel-Tec PMR-30 and fired.
Two shots aimed directly at Jadon’s legs.
Jadon anticipated the move and slammed his shield downward like a falling gate.
Both bullets struck the shield and ricocheted away, but Ezra had already moved again.
His arm flicked forward. The dagger shot through the air like a thrown spike aimed straight for Jadon’s face.
Jadon reacted immediately, raising his dagger and deflecting the blade, but the instant the steel collided...
Ezra appeared in front of him.
Jadon tried to lift his shield again.
Too slow.
Ezra stepped on the shield. His weight forced Jadon’s arm downward, then Ezra’s hand chopped forward. His palm struck directly against Jadon’s throat.
"Cough...!"
Jadon staggered backward violently, dropping the shield while clutching his neck as he coughed harshly, but he managed to quickly get his control back.
He swung his dagger wildly in front of him to keep Ezra away.
The blade slashed through the air repeatedly, but Ezra moved inside the swings.
His hand shot forward and grabbed Jadon’s wrist.
Then he twisted. The joint turned sharply.
The dagger slipped from Jadon’s hand.
Ezra caught it instantly with the other hand and then...
He began stabbing.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
The blade plunged through Jadon’s palm, then his other hand.
Blood sprayed across the stone floor.
Jadon screamed, but Ezra did not stop.
The dagger stabbed into his chest repeatedly, avoiding the heart deliberately.
The blade carved deep wounds through muscle and ribs.
Then Ezra dropped lower.
Two brutal stabs pierced both of Jadon’s knees, the kneecaps shattered.
Jadon almost collapsed to the ground, but Ezra was still not finished.
The blade slashed across Jadon’s face. Both eyes were cut open.
Blood poured down as darkness swallowed his vision.
"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!"
Jadon screamed in terror.
Ezra stepped forward.
His boot lifted.
Then...
CRACK!
He stomped down on Jadon’s left knee joint. The joint shattered completely.
Before the scream could finish...
Another stomp.
The second knee exploded beneath Ezra’s weight.
Jadon’s body finally collapsed uselessly.
Ezra grabbed his hair, then drove his knee upward.
Once, Twice, Three times.
Each strike smashed into Jadon’s face with sickening force.
Blood sprayed across Ezra’s leg, his clothes, and the stone floor beneath them.
The repeated impact turned Jadon’s face into a broken mask of blood and shattered bone.
Finally, Ezra released him.
Jadon’s body dropped limply to the ground.
He bled out almost immediately.
The entire battlefield fell silent.
The remaining people stared in absolute disbelief.
Pamela’s legs gave out beneath her, she collapsed onto the ground.
The others broke.
Five of them immediately dropped their weapons and turned to run for their lives.
Lime was the first to run, then Jimmy, then the rest followed.
Ezra glanced briefly at Pamela.
Only a glance, then he ignored her.
His hand reached back into his space bag.
He pulled out the Harpoon Gun he had used earlier, along with a steel nugget.
With one hand the Alchemy activated.
The steel nugget melted and stretched, forming a long-sharpened harpoon bolt.
He loaded it, raised the weapon and fired.
The harpoon screamed through the air.
It struck a running boy directly through the back.
The rope tightened instantly.
The boy was violently dragged backward.
The others turned in shock.
Ezra ran forward.
He grabbed the boy by the leg.
Then he spun.
Using the momentum of his turn, he slammed the boy head-first into the ground.
The skull cracked like brittle stone, but Ezra did not stop.
He lifted the body again and smashed the boy’s face into the ground repeatedly.
Each impact cracked the floor deeper.
The skull finally collapsed.
Ezra stood.
Without looking he pulled out the Kel-Tec PMR-30.
Bang!
Jimmy’s leg exploded.
Bang!
A girl beside him dropped as her leg was shattered.
Before they could crawl away Ezra drew the Glock-17 with his other hand.
Bang!
Another boy’s leg broke instantly.
They all collapsed screaming.
Lime slipped and fell as he saw them dropping like flies.
He looked back and froze.
Ezra walked calmly through the field of fallen bodies.
Then he began shooting their heads one by one with the Glock-17.
Bang, Bang, Bang.
Each shot ended another life.
Lime’s body trembled violently.
He had completely lost control of himself, warm liquid spread down his legs.
He had pissed himself in terror.
He tried to stand, but the overwhelming killing intent kept him pinned to the ground.
"W-wait... Ezr...a!" Lime cried uncontrollably.
"My... my... my sister..."
Ezra ignored him.
He returned the Glock-17 to his space bag.
Then he threw a steel bar into the air.
Clap.
Alchemy activated.
The steel bar melted and reformed into a loaded magazine.
Ezra caught it smoothly.
He pulled out the Kel-Tec PMR-30 and slammed the magazine into the grip.
The magazine seated with a hollow metallic click, the slide snapped forward, Ezra aimed and fired.
The shots moved upward in a brutal ascending line.
From Lime’s left side, starting from the leg to his shoulder.
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"
Lime rolled violently on the ground screaming as blood poured from the wounds.
Ezra fired again.
His other side arm shattered, then his remaining leg.
Lime was left completely crippled.
His body twitched weakly as he groaned in agony.
Ezra grabbed his leg and began dragging him.
The bodies of the dead were kicked aside as Ezra pulled him across the stone floor.
Lime’s face scraped against the rough surface, leaving a trail of blood.
He could not move.
Tears, mucus, and blood mixed together as he sobbed uncontrollably.
Finally, Ezra threw him down in front of Pamela.
Pamela could only stare, her entire body trembled.
The battlefield around her was soaked with blood.
Her cousins, Felix’s group.
All of them were dead.
The boy lying before her was dying slowly.
Bang!
Ezra suddenly fired.
The bullet pierced Lime’s spinal cord.
Both Lime and Pamela flinched violently.
Bang!
Another shot.
And another.
And another.
Ezra continued firing into Lime’s back again and again.
The body jerked repeatedly under the impacts.
Then...Silence.
Lime stopped moving.
Pamela slowly lifted her head.
She looked into Ezra’s eyes.
Dark, Empty.
Like a void.
Ezra raised the gun toward her.
Ah... I’m going to die.
Tears streamed down Pamela’s face.
Bang!
Ezra fired.
The bullet aimed for her chest deliberately avoiding the heart, but at that exact moment...
Bang!
Another gunshot erupted from Ezra’s left side.
The bullet collided with Ezra’s shot mid-air.
A voice followed.
"Hey... bloody boy."
The soft voice echoed clearly.
Ezra knew that voice immediately.
