Chapter 457: Ezreal VS Lee Sin!

Lee Sin was a champion that looked elegant and flashy, and a lot of players who liked a challenge were particularly fond of this champion. However, you had to admit that this champion scaled badly and was not suitable for the late-game.

In late-game teamfights, Lee Sin was a champion that was weak.

Low damage, no CC, kicks flying everywhere, flying to wards and such… people could just easily ignore you…

As for kicking the enemy backward?

All I can say is that you think too much!

Yes, that maneuver was cool, but not every Lee Sin could find themselves in the chaos of teamfights and accurately pick an enemy to deliver that important kick. Moreover, imagine if you did manage to land one kick, but all the enemy had to do was just Flash backward… you would have basically fallen into the lion’s den…

Luocheng had yet to find the opportunity to be that cool, and Team Daemons was not that stupid.

“HA!”

Without warning, Belial appeared!

This guy really knew how to save his skill shots. Even as he watched Elise flee right in front of his eyes, he held on tight to his ulti. Seeing that Shyvanna was sticking to Draven, Vi made the decision to launch a Q-skill and follow up with her ulti, appearing directly in front of Lin Dong’s Draven’s face.

Indeed, Lin Dong could use his axes to lifesteal his health back and damage Shyvanna, she alone was not that difficult for him to handle. However, if you were to add another champion, especially a champion like Vi who could armor-break, Lin Dong was clearly outmatched!

This long-ranged Vault Breaker made it hard for Lin Dong’s Draven who was a champion with no repositioning skills. He had to activate his Barrier in order to mitigate some of the damage received.

“I’m coming.” Luocheng sent his Q-skill, Sonic Wave, which landed directly on Vi, subsequently re-casting his Q-skill, now a Resonating Strike, and appeared in front of Lin Dong.

Tempest and Cripple followed these strikes, the slow effect from the second cast of his E-skill catching both Vi and Shyvanna!

“I see you’ve kept your ulti. I was wondering what you were up to, Belial.” Luocheng said coldly.

Motherf*cker, if you still didn’t use your Ultimate, I also don’t know what I’m doing here then!

Double Jungler was not a mistake, but he would never forget that his main role was as a Support.

Especially with a champion like Lee Sin, if you had an advantage in the early-game, you must fight, because once it dragged on into the late-game, you wouldn’t be able to easily go in front of the enemy to fight or simply kick the key-players over. You were just asking for a lot of damage on your champion without reason, and so, the best thing to do right now was to come back and protect the ADC!

Don’t look at Lee Sin and assume that he didn’t have any ability to protect another. For an ADC to have someone in front of him who could slow the enemies down, that was already a good thing!

The protection that an ADC needed was not some super strong CC skills or something that could bring the sky down. All they needed was a tanky champion to stand in front of them, and with just that much distance, the ADC would have a lot of space to work with their damage!

At the very least, when Lin Dong saw that Luocheng had flown over to protect him, his heart soared. If he managed to get a double kill, Lin Dong would happily lend him that secret tape of his!

Having been punched by Vi, Lin Dong had dropped one axe, and so, his damage was obviously not as high as it was previously.

He kept up his Animation Cancel, continuously attacking and catching his axes. This was actually quite a difficult feat to manage, and even Luocheng admitted that he would play like a clown struggling to catch all the balls thrown in the air if he was the one playing Draven.

When Lin Dong’s health dropped to one-third, it stopped reducing at last because Belial’s Vi finally couldn’t take it any longer.

Draven’s damage was just that terrifying, a mere few hits was already explosive. Looking at his health that was dropping rapidly, Belial had kept a Q-skill just in case, and seeing that Luocheng was blocking him from the front, he had no choice but to use his Vault Breaker to launch himself backward to flat land, avoiding the damage from Draven.

Draven had deliberately stayed his hand, and one R—Whirling Death was thrown out, the gigantic axes sweeping forward and rounding back, hitting Vi both ways, almost taking her down!

“Luocheng, go and kill him, I’ll be fine!” Lin Dong said to Luocheng in a panic, seeing that Vi had very little health left.

Luocheng planted a ward, flying toward it immediately!

He stopped for just a moment, tracking Belial’s position, and just as the latter stumbled, Luocheng launched a Sonic Wave at him.

The edge of the blast clipped Belial, and it was impossible for him to run!

Lee Sin was a champion that was particularly strong at the chasing game. If you couldn’t guarantee that you had enough health, you could only watch as your enemy ran away. So, for a Lee Sin, the biggest contribution to the teamfight was definitely not about damage or kicking people backward, but it was about protecting the back line and cleaning up!

Of course, picking this champion, you couldn’t help but be showy and flashy. Luocheng had finally reined in that pissy attitude of his after countless beratings from Lin Dong and Da Luo.

***

Luocheng had bought a Sightstone, because to a Lee Sin, wards was life. Otherwise, why would Lee Sin have a quote that said: ‘My sight might be gone, but my vision holds true.’

Belial’s retreat path was slightly unusual, and when Luocheng launched toward him, he slammed into Asmodai, who was in his own battle on the other side.

Asmodai’s Ezreal had been attacking Da Luo’s Dr. Mundo like crazy, and Da Luo who had activated his ulti was basically just a rabid dog that had set fire to himself. No matter how many of your skills were thrown at him, he would still rush forward, hacking away with the kitchen knife he held.

Asmodai already had a set of items which was not bad, and he was continuously attacking Mundo. However, it was futile as he realized that this guy’s health just kept rising up.

Team Daemons only had one Ignite on their team which belonged to Charon’s Shyvana, but it had already been used on Lin Dong’s Draven. Hades’ Ziggs had brought in a Barrier, and so after activating his ulti, Da Luo was basically invincible with no one able to do anything. He was tanking both the ADC and Mid’s attacks with his tattered shirt on his huge body as he shouted: ‘Come to Mundo!’.

“Don’t bother about me, I need to die anyway, just kill Ezreal.” Lin Dong said to Luocheng as he looked at his remaining health.

Lin Dong had already been Ignited, and with what little health he had left, he didn’t have much time to deal much damage. Instead of accidentally being killed by a stray bomb from Ziggs, he would rather focus his remaining time on dealing as much damage as possible to Shyvana.

Sometimes, picking Draven was not a good choice, because no matter how much you protected him, he would still be cut down. After all, the biggest weakness of an ADC would be not having a repositioning skill.

After taking in Ziggs’ ulti, Draven’s health had dropped by half. With Shyvana and Vi coming in after that, if he hadn’t been Ignited, he might have stood a chance by lifestealing from Shyvana slowly. However, once the Ignite came into play, he was dead no matter what…

He would just accept his fate. Beating down a tank Shyvana to one fourth of her health as well as killing off the Vi, Lin Dong’s Draven had already done a lot!

Thus, Luocheng didn’t bother with Lin Dong anymore, and his target shifted over to Asmodai’s Ezreal.

Asmodai was continuously kiting Mundo, and it was obvious that Mundo didn’t have enough damage. Ezreal’s Statikk Shiv and Bloodthirster build allowed him to lifesteal more effectively and his kiting was extremely flexible. The moment Ezreal hid behind a minion wave, Da Luo’s cleaver was unable to reach him as it couldn’t go through minions.

At this point of time, they needed another person’s damage.

Luocheng had sufficient health because when the teamfight had been so chaotic, Lee Sin had just stood at the side as though he was watching a movie. Rather than kicking someone which didn’t deal much damage or benefit, it was better for him to stay and protect the backline, just like when Shyvana and Vi had completely ignored him in favor of chasing after Lin Dong!

Luocheng used Safeguard to fly to Mundo, encircling him in a shield at the same time.

Asmodai was startled as he saw his opponent count increase by one and his brows furrowed, what about the 1 vs 1 that was agreed on?

“Da Luo, you and Wu Sen chase after Hades’ Ziggs, don’t let him attack so comfortably!” Luocheng instructed, watching Hades’ Ziggs launch his bombs from afar.

Hades and Asmodai had found the perfect position in this fight, allowing them to deal tons of damage in the chaos. They needed to control them and give Gragas the chance to secure the kills!

“Can you beat Ezreal?” Da Luo asked.

“I’ll try.” Luocheng replied.

At the same time, Hades and Asmodai were also in a heated discussion.

“Dai, I’ll get Mundo’s attention, take this chance to kill off Fighting Hawk’s Lee Sin!”

Asmodai watched as Mundo left, and his usually dim eyes suddenly burst to life.

Even if it wasn’t a duel between ADCs, to have the chance of a 1 vs 1 with Fighting Hawk in this teamfight, to Asmodai it was something that sent thrills down his spine.

Luocheng still had two thirds of his health left while Asmodai’s Ezreal had slightly less than half. It was really hard to say who would kill who in this fight.

Asmodai’s Ezreal was consistently on the move, and Luocheng was unsure whether Ezreal still retained his E-skill, Arcane Shift.

What was the most important thing for a Lee Sin in a solo fight?

His Q-skill must always be accurate!

Without his Q-skill, the damage that Lee Sin could deal later on was limited, and the damage dealt could be easily lifesteal-ed back by the ADC.

Luckily, Luocheng had built the Spirit of the Elder Lizard. This item prevented Luocheng from being incompetent during this time, and with Ezreal only at half health including his Barrier, he should roughly have about one thousand health points left, thus, Lee Sin should be able to do this!

Luocheng needed to calculate the damage to determine how to deal the most damage effectively.

Asmodai for his part had already thought about his positioning in the short time that he had.

When fighting against Lee Sin, the most important thing was to dodge his Q-skill. As long as he didn’t get hit by his RQ-combo, Lee Sin wasn’t a threat to his Ezreal that could lifesteal.

He remembered when they had first met in the Freljord server at bottom lane, Asmodai had been using Ezreal while Luocheng was using Zyra as a Support!

At that time, when Luocheng had consciously used his plants to block Thresh’ hook, it had stunned both him and Anubis speechless.

It was that incredible move that had ignited the fight in Asmodai, making him use a double Flash to secure the kill, showing an aggressive momentum.

Luocheng had also used his quick reaction and hand speed to pull off that final counterattack which had in turn taken Ezreal’s head…

That kind of neck-to-neck showdown left Asmodai feeling a little nostalgic.

Just a little carelessness, and now, he was retiring.

Just nice, he would use this very solo fight to end his six-year career here!
