Leave Me Alone, Big Brothers! [BL]-Chapter 151: Trust Me
Leo walked out of the bedroom, closing the heavy door behind him. He held himself back, but he would not let those two men go free. He had to do something.
Inside, the four teenagers stood with the two injured men. The air in the room was cold, almost freezing. They were trembling.
Gabriel stood near the center of the room. He took a deep breath and tried to look strong.
"I would kill them if they were not your men," he said to Nathan. He looked at the door with a proud expression on his face.
Nathan looked at Gabriel. His face was pale, and his hands were still shaking.
"They are not my men," Nathan said. He did not look proud. He looked tired and... scared.
Eli was trembling. He moved slowly toward the sofa where Ray sat. Ray’s face was covered in bruises, and his clothes were torn. Eli looked at the steel handcuffs on Ray’s wrists.
"Are you okay?" Eli asked. He reached out but did not touch the metal. "We have to release the handcuffs."
Nathan watched Eli. Then he looked at Edson. Edson was sitting on the floor behind the sofa. His body was curled into a ball. He was shaking so hard that his teeth made a clicking sound.
"We will find a way to get you out of here," Nathan said to Edson. "I will never let him touch you again. I promise."
Edson looked up at Nathan. His eyes were red and filled with fear. He stood up slowly, leaning his back against the wall for support. "Thanks," Edson whispered. "But I am sure they will target me once I get out of here. His men are everywhere."
Nathan stared at Edson. He had not thought about what would happen after they left the mansion. He had been too focused on the fact that his brother had committed a crime. He felt a heavy weight in his chest, pressing down on him with suffocating force.
Zane sat on the edge of the sofa next to Ray. He gripped Ray’s arm to keep him steady.
"We need to get the key for this," Zane said, looking at the handcuffs. "Does anyone have a tool?"
Before one of them could reply, the door handle turned.
Malvin walked into the room. He did not look like he usually did. His hair was messy, and his eyes were bloodshot. He looked as if he had just woken up from a deep sleep.
Behind him stood Jack. Jack was wearing a dark suit and had a neutral expression. Several guards in black uniforms followed them into the room. Their heavy boots echoed faintly against the polished floor.
"Nathan, are you okay?" Malvin asked. He walked toward his younger brother. He looked worried.
Nathan stepped back. He stood in a defensive position. "I’m not okay. How could you do this to people? Why did you hurt them?" Nathan pointed at Ray and Edson.
Malvin stopped. He looked around the room. He saw his brother’s friends. Then he saw the two men. Ray was bleeding. Edson’s skin was covered in marks. Their condition was very bad. The sight made his jaw tighten.
"Take care of them. Get them out of here," Malvin ordered. He did not look at Nathan as he spoke to Jack.
Jack nodded. He waved his hand, signaling the guards to move forward.
Nathan moved quickly. He stood in front of the sofa, blocking the guards. "I won’t let you touch them!" Nathan screamed. He balled his hands into fists.
Malvin looked at Nathan. His face became serious. "Nathan, they need medical treatment. Look at them. I won’t hurt them. I promise you. You can kill me if you find out I killed them." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Nathan did not move. He looked at Malvin with eyes full of suspicion. He thought about Leo. Leo always looked quiet and innocent, but Leo had been a monster. Nathan felt that he could not trust any of his brothers anymore.
"Nope!" Nathan said.
Malvin let out a long sigh. He looked at the floor for a second and then back at Nathan. "I’m sorry. I have to take them. I will protect them. I promise."
"What? You will kill them! I will not let you touch them!" Nathan shouted again. His voice was loud and filled with anger.
Jack looked at Malvin. Malvin gave a small nod. He signaled Jack to move the boys out of the way.
Jack reached into his jacket. He pulled out a black handgun. He did not point it at the teenagers, but he held it firmly at his side.
"I’m on a mission," Jack said. His voice was cold and flat. "Don’t blame me if I have to shoot you."
Zane, Gabriel, and Eli froze. Their eyes went wide as they looked at the weapon. The room became very silent. None of them moved or spoke. Even the air felt heavy, as if it were pressing down on their shoulders.
Nathan clenched his fists. His face turned red with rage. He glared at Malvin. "Why? Why are you doing this?"
"Nathan, please trust me. I won’t hurt them," Malvin repeated.
Jack’s men moved forward. They grabbed Ray and Edson. The two injured men tried to struggle, but they were too weak. The guards were strong and moved them toward the door. Ray groaned as his arms were pulled. Edson kept his eyes on the floor, looking as if he were crying.
Nathan could not bear to watch. What should he do? He had failed. What if they were both killed? The thought twisted painfully inside his mind.
Malvin watched them leave. He knew Nathan was furious. He knew Nathan hated him at this moment. But Malvin felt he had no choice.
Jack had woken him up ten minutes earlier to tell him about the situation. Alexander had also called from his holiday. Alexander had ordered him to fix the situation and make sure they did not cause a legal problem for the family. His voice had been calm but firm.
Malvin had to ensure they stayed alive, but he also had to make sure they stayed quiet. He had to watch them closely. He hoped that Nathan would understand later that he was trying to fix Leo’s mistake.
Malvin walked out of the room after Jack. He did not go to his own room. He walked down the corridor to Leo’s room. The hallway lights flickered faintly above him.
He pushed the door open. The room was still filled with red light. Leo was standing by the window, looking out at the dark trees.
"How could you do that in front of Nathan?" Malvin demanded. He walked to the center of the room. "He is our brother. He shouldn’t see things like this."
Leo did not turn around immediately. "He shouldn’t see them," Leo agreed. His voice was calm.
"But why did you do it?" Malvin asked.
"You will never know," Leo said. He finally turned to face Malvin. "I do this for us. For the family. And I have to get Edson back. He is my toy."
Malvin shook his head. "No. You will not touch them. I promised Nathan I would protect them. I won’t let you get them back."
"No," Leo said. His voice became sharper. "I need that man."
"Stop it!" Malvin shouted. "You’re making our brother hate us! Just stop!"
Leo did not speak. He stood still, but he clenched his fists at his sides. His expression remained unreadable, cold and distant.
"Don’t make this difficult for us," Malvin said. "Please stop. You cannot torture people just because you like it. This is not a game."
"It is not your business," Leo replied.
"It is my business if you involve Nathan," Malvin said. "I will not let them fear us."
Malvin turned to leave. He stopped at the door and looked back at Leo. "I am serious. Tell Steven to stay away. If you try to take them, Alex won’t be happy about it."
Malvin walked out and closed the door. He felt a deep sense of worry. He had to make sure everything was under control, whether it was Edson and Ray or Nathan. He could not control Leo; the man was very stubborn. But he did not want Nathan to think badly of them. He leaned briefly against the wall, exhausted.
Nathan sat on his bed after they were gone. His room felt empty and too large. Zane sat next to him.
"Do you think they are safe?" Eli asked. He was sitting on a chair, rubbing his arms.
"I don’t know," Nathan said. He looked at his hands. "I don’t know anything anymore."
Gabriel sat on the floor. He was quiet now. He looked confused. "What do we do now?"
Zane looked at Nathan. "We wait. And we watch. If Malvin lied, we will find out."
He hugged Nathan, trying to calm him down. "You did your best."
Nathan sighed, feeling like a failure. "I’m sorry. I’m really sorry you had to see this kind of thing. I really don’t understand why they do this."
