Chapter 2178: Chapter 2178: Looking for Someone

"Am I really not Silvio Reed? Am I Silvio Reed or not?"

Julius Reed felt a bit bewildered by what Shadow Kims had said.

The reason for his uncertainty was that his previous memories seemed to have been erased.

It’s like asking a child about events before their first birthday; they probably can’t recall much.

Even if the child had been a prince, abandoned on the streets, they wouldn’t remember being royalty.

They would only think of themselves as a commoner.

Shadow Kims’s words left Julius Reed doubtful once again.

He touched his face; there was no mask glued on it.

If he really were Silvio Reed, Dragon Dance would definitely recognize him.

Overthinking it.

Picking up the phone on the table, Julius Reed called the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance.

"Notify Mont, saying that Prophet, along with Trent Marsh, has gone to the Dusty Platform. Trent Marsh is unwilling to cooperate, and the result might be that Prophet kills Trent Marsh."

"Is that all, Holy Master?"

An inquiry came from the phone.

"That’s it, that’s enough." Julius Reed hung up the phone.

Mont, nominally still a vassal state of the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance, would still accept messages from the Alliance.

Even though it seemed like Mont was governed by the King, everyone knew that Mont listened to Ilia Danvers.

"Looks like I need to quickly attempt to treat Eliezer Pine’s illness."

Julius Reed put on a mask, donned a windbreaker, and made a call to Elaenor Wood. The two left the Bronze Tower one after the other.

Trent Marsh and Prophet left, Hill Leocadia was injured, and the only potential threat might be Pranay Martinez.

With Shadow Kims and Hawthorne here, along with Dragon Dance, nothing should go wrong.

"Holy Master, do you really have a way?" Elaenor Wood asked nervously.

He was already aware of this matter and felt inexplicably afraid.

Within just one day, he had called Eliezer Pine countless times, repeatedly confirming whether the black line continued.

Separated for hundreds of years, Elaenor Wood didn’t want to lose it again.

Last time, he was grateful he survived, so he could reunite with Anna Harris.

If Anna Harris were to meet with misfortune again, Elaenor Wood really wouldn’t have the courage to go on living.

"I’ll give it a shot; I’m not very confident, but I’ve made some discoveries." Julius Reed patted Elaenor Wood on the shoulder, comforting him: "Isn’t everything okay now? We’ve been through greater storms; these don’t count as much."

"Oh, right." He remembered something, asking as he walked: "Where’s Jesse River now? Is that guy still mad at me?"

Ever since the last time Jesse River broke the big formation, he had disappeared. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Later, he found out Jesse River, along with Elaenor Wood and others, had found this pocket watch.

And risked their lives to bring it to him.

"Jesse River said he was too large, too conspicuous, so after sending us to Gonzalez City, he left on his own." Elaenor Wood frowned slightly: "He got injured and is probably going to heal. Oh, and make sure you’re cautious with Dragon Dance."

"In the forest, those supposed divine tribes tried to kill us. Since arriving here, every time I see Dragon Dance, I feel unsettled."

Elaenor Wood grew increasingly fearful.

Fortunately, Dragon Dance hadn’t done anything excessive to him.

"If we hadn’t known each other first, I wouldn’t dare say this. Heaven forbid Dragon Dance blames me for sowing discord, ruining our relationship." Elaenor Wood patted Julius Reed’s chest, reminding meaningfully: "Desire can be dangerous, especially with such a wild woman; be cautious."

Dragon Dance’s allure was too potent.

Most people couldn’t maintain their composure.

It was precisely this allure that made Elaenor Wood feel a sort of fear.

"I’ll be honest with you then." Julius Reed whispered into Elaenor Wood’s ear: "We’re just using each other. Her motive for wanting Eliezer Pine dead, I’m investigating, and once I find out, I’ll give you an explanation. Let’s leave this matter behind."

"I understand." Elaenor Wood nodded.

The two walked through several alleys, reaching the outskirts of Gonzalez City.

This was a relatively lively, sizeable village.

Gonzalez City had been bustling in recent years, with economic growth and increasing influx of outsiders.

Many places had already expanded several times over.

The villagers outside were all waiting for demolition, but overnight, the Gonzalez City commercial building collapsed, seemingly foretelling an ominous sign.

As expected, the developers previously negotiating all pulled back.

Here, the scene became even livelier.

The locals discussed excitedly, and rumors began to spread.

"I say, it’s that woman; she’s a jinx! Ever since she arrived in our village, our feng shui got ruined!"

"That’s right, such a pretty girl, why not go somewhere else? But instead, she’s hiding here? We have a demon!"

"Jalen’s third uncle is a shaman, saying the girl was possessed by something dirty, disrupting our fortune village’s luck!"

The villagers gathered at the village entrance, chattering away.

A large village of over a thousand people had every kind of opinion.

"What the Great Immortal said is not to be dismissed! Pendleton Seven, you’re greedy, renting out your house! I’m telling you now to refund her money and kick that girl out!"

An old lady pointed at the Limping Man, cursing, "If you delay the villagers’ demolition, how much would you pay? Hurry up, get moving!"

"Exactly, Pendleton Seven, have some broader perspective. If something goes wrong, would you still be alright?"

"We’ve always enjoyed financial luck, but ever since that girl arrived, our months-long demolition talks have gone silent, not even hearing from them, phones directly shut off. You tell me, is that a coincidence?"

The villagers were ready to seize this opportunity and turn their lives around.

Now seeing the chance slipping away, it’s hard not to get anxious.

"What’s the village head thinking?" someone asked.

"Demolition is our village’s top priority! Any obstruction must give way to demolition!" The village head waved grandly: "Pendleton Seven, kick that girl out! If she doesn’t leave, we’ll take a hard line!"

"Alright." Pendleton Seven limped forward, taking only a few steps.

Suddenly, at the village entrance, a black Mercedes appeared.

"Wow, a Benz! Is the developer here?" The villagers hastily crowded around.

The car doors opened, and four people emerged.

Dressed in black suits and wearing sunglasses, they exuded an air of danger.

They were intimidating.

"Has a girl been here recently?" The leader extended a hand and unfolded a painting.

Depicted on it was none other than Eliezer Pine!

"This is a million." The man lifted a briefcase, opening it to spill a million cash onto the ground.

"I know her! She’s at Pendleton Seven’s place! Seven, hurry up and lead them!" The village head smiled warmly, his heart joyfully fluttering at the sight of the money.

"Thank you." The man said before following behind Pendleton Seven, leaving only one person at the village entrance.
