Thud~

A lifeless body fell before Jeskirin, materializing out of thin air. He rolled the body over with his feet, to check the identity of the person who still had the attire of the Academy.

His lips crept up when he saw the face of the person. Amongst the people who had entered the tomb before his daughter, this boy was the strongest.

His body had no wounds, and not even the slightest trace of blood. He had died without suffering through any physical attack. He knew who was responsible for this boy's death. It could only be his daughter.

"It seems you are about to lose. My daughter has taken the Ice Phoenix Flames," he told Freya, his confidence shooting through the roof.

More and more bodies started falling from the sky, right outside the tomb. Amongst the bodies, there were only a rare few that hadn't died at the hands of the little girl, and had wounds all around their bodies.

"Here she comes!" Jeskirin felt the aura of his daughter, which had materialized not far from him. He flew to welcome his daughter who had inherited the Ice Phoenix Flames.

Freya's pupils trembled when she saw the corpses of the students that she had sent inside the Tomb. Almost everyone that she thought might inherit the flames, was lying lifelessly before her.

Even worse was that the little girl that didn't belong to the Academy, had received the flames. She couldn't even stop it, as it was part of the bet that she made with Jeskirin.

She subconsciously looked at Silas. She could stop Jeskirin if she had the help of Silas, but if that happened, the full wrath of Chronos was going to descend on the Academy.

That in itself was a problem, and she didn't even know if she could convince Silas to go along with her schemes this time as it would've involved the Ashborn Family as well.

She was extremely frustrated, and regretted the decision to not stop the girl from entering. She mumbled, "Is it already too late?"

Suddenly, an aura brimming with killing intent rose from the distance, so powerful that it spread throughout thousands of miles.

"It's coming from Jeskirin. What happened?" She flew straight to the source of the frightening aura.

Silas lazily glanced in that direction as well. He took a single step, and travelled through hundreds of meters to appear near Jeskirin.

Jeskirin was fuming, holding onto his daughter who was missing an arm. "Who dares to hurt my daughter?"

"Father, I failed. I didn't get the flames," the girl lowered her head, and said with her voice almost breaking apart.

"Stop speaking. First we need to heal your hand. Take this." Jeskirin brought a celestial healing pill from his ring, and placed it in Ishira's mouth.

"Is that a Celestial Healing Pill that can heal any wounds, as long as the person is still breathing? As expected, you are quite a wealthy man." Freya also arrived, not even trying to hide the smugness on her face.

Her previous worries were nowhere to be seen, as she heard Ishira say that she had failed. It meant someone from the Academy that was sent by her, had managed to receive the inheritance.

The pill started taking effect, and the bones from her missing arm extended. Flesh and nerves started growing around the bone, the recovery moving at the speed of light.

Only after Ishira's arm healed, Jeskirin asked, "Who took the Flames? How could they harm you to this extent?"

Jeskirin did care about the loss of the flames, but more than that, he was concerned about the person who had achieved something like this.

His daughter had an ability that allowed her to kill anyone, as long as she wanted it. It was an instant death ability, and all she needed was to look at that person and think about his death.

It was impossible for someone to steal something from her, and also to hurt her to this extent. Just who was this person that was unaffected by her ability?

He had a lot of questions in his mind. Did the Academy really have someone that could counter Ishira? Was it their secret weapon? He thought about the students that had entered the Tomb, but none stood out to him in this manner.

Ishira shook her head. She only said a single sentence, "I don't know."

She only looked at the long robe in her hand, which seemingly belonged to that person.

The only problem was that this robe could fit almost anyone. It wasn't a small robe. Even if her father wore that robe, it wouldn't look odd on him.

Jeskirin found these words hard to believe, but he was sure that his daughter couldn't lie to him.

"We will talk about it later."

He temporarily placed a stop to the conversation and turned to Freya. "It looks like you are the one who won this bet. Congratulations."

Freya was so pleased that she hadn't stopped smiling for even a single moment. "There is nothing to be surprised about. Didn't I tell you that the Academy is filled with talents."

"Why don't we meet this talent?" Jeskirin asked. "I would like to congratulate them as well."

He returned to the tomb's entrance that had crumbled into nothingness. Freya also returned, and waited for the person who had inherited the flames to arrive.

She also told the Professors to prepare a grand welcome for the inheritor of the Ice Phoenix Flames. He had the potential to become as strong as the previous Dean after all.

Unfortunately, even after they waited for half an hour, no other survivor returned. The only thing that came was the news from the Administrative Office.

A professor whispered some words in Freya's ears, which made her expressions darken.

"How is that possible?" she mumbled in disbelief as she heard that the soul lamp of everyone who was sent to the tomb by her, had broken. It meant all of them were already dead.

If they were dead, then they couldn't have inherited the flames. But other than them and that little girl, no one had entered the tomb. So where did the flames go?!

She rubbed her forehead, and looked at the corpses on the ground. It was a big mystery and she couldn't think of anything to answer.

She turned to Silas to ask him if he had any guesses about what could have happened.

"Hmm? Where is Silas?" It was only then, she realized that the Patriarch of the Ashborn Family wasn't there anymore. "Did he already leave?"
