Lucas went his way toward the shelter to tell the others about the many things that he had discovered he was out.

While John knew most of them, it didn’t mean that the others knew it too.

He reached the shelter and first told everyone about his many findings. The people were distressed that there were so many creatures inside the territory and even the prior kobolds were there.

Lucas couldn’t understand their thought process, in his mind there could have been nothing more delightful than killing those creatures but not many had the same emotions.

"Alright, we have to talk about the roles that I have to alott to everyone today. I thought about many but have to get your approval too."

He saw everyone listening intently and nodded with approval It seemed that everyone was excited about these so-called roles that he had talked about.

"Firstly, there is the role of the healer. What All the healer of the territory has to do is complete his or her responsibility of healing. Anything related to healing, even the medicine use or circulation will be done by the healer."

Everyone looked at Ella who only smiled bitterly. It seemed she had not choice yet again.

"Aunt Ella, I am not going to force you into taking this role as it has to be somewhat permanent. I can’t change it for a long time after giving it. If you want to become anything else, please tell me now."

"What?" Ella was surprised by the sudden proposition. She looked at her husband for an answer and he just smiled toward her.

"If… let’s say that I were to not select healing as the role. How will the shelter have an official healer then? There isn’t anyone else with the skill needed."

Lucas smiled and nodded, clearly happy with her questioning.

"If this scenario that you talked about were to be true, then there would be no problem at all. I know that some of you or even one has a healing skill paper with you. There should have been one from the chest."

Lucas looked at each and everyone and activated his perceptive eyes, many looked at him with surprise and some didn’t like it but the use of the skill had clearly made them get up on their toes.

While Lucas didn’t have the ability to look through lie, he knew surely that the others were not clear with it.

His ability had leveled up a lot and aside from John, no one knew anything about it other than it could look at the aura of the things and beings.

"I got one" Haley pulled her hand up.

"Me too" Mike said while looking at Lucas with annoyance.

Lucas didn’t want to use such measures but it was necessary for them to be completely truthful.

At the end of the day, they were all humans who had the drive to take things for themselves.

Lucas looked at everyone else, his eyes flashing a colorful radiance, and smiled finally.

He deactivated his skill and continued, "Well great! Two new healing skills and now what we can do is that… someone other than Aunt Ella can take the healing skills and be a healer if they want."

Ella looked at him and then at everyone else, who would want to become a healer?

When everyone was just thinking about their decisions, Sandra pulled her hand up with indifference.

"Oh? We already have a volunteer! So Sandra, would you like to become a healer? There are other roles that you can look at."

"Not really, I had made up my mind to learn a healing skill too. There was just too much pressure on Aunt Ella." Sandra said as a smile formed on her face.

Ella could not help but have a warm expression, she didn’t know that the girl thought so much for her well-being.

"If that is the case then you can learn the skill right now and become one of the healers for the territory."

"Wait, there can be more than one?" Ella asked with surprise. No one knew that roles could be more than one other than John and Lucas who read teh guidelines.

These guidelines were provided to everyone yet no one cared to learn them at all.

"Yes, 5 in total. That’s why I can say that there is space for everyone in every role aside from some that you won’t really care about anyway."

"But can’t we just go on like we used to? We can all do something like usual and complete the shelter’s upgrades you know." Bill said with annoyance, his eyes had even bigger bags than before.

Lucas was surprised by his presence as clearly, he had forgotten about him after he deactivated his perceptive eyes.

"We don’t have a choice, phase 3 wants us to be systematic and complete these small goals for this year. And these small decisions and role segregation will help the territory become better acquainted and efficient than before."

Many seemed to understand him yet there were still some confused faces. Bill’s question had been on point.

"For example, Bill here is very good at finding things without getting found out. His skill proficiency is better than many here, now if I were to ask him to cut down trees for the shelter’s upgrade. This would be like hindering him from the use of his potential. Now, what do you think would be the best role for Bill?"

Lucas asked everyone yet they only were in thought.

"Attackers like you?" Haley said with squinted eyes and a hand on her chin.

"You are close but not quite it." Lucas looked at John who nodded in understanding.

"Scout"

Bill’s eyes flashed when he heard the word. He looked at Lucas for an explanation which was really in front of him.

"Thank you, Uncle John. That is right, Bill is best suited to become a scout for the territory. Looking and telling us what is where and finding other settlements. Getting information. Would you like to take that role for the betterment of the territory, Bill?"

And just like that, Lucas was there selling another niched role to one of the group’s members. Your journey continues at novelbuddy
