Legendary Shelter Survival Guide-Chapter 225: Spawn rate
"Ella and the other who went with you told me everything, the situation was quite peculiar than before. I didn’t expect that."
"Didn’t expect what?"
"You overpowering all of them, they told me the Kobolds were frozen from fear."
"Yeah, because I killed their leader in front of them, I guess it’s natural extinct. The one they were getting led by just got killed out of nowhere."
"That is true. But I had something in my mind, just promise you won’t get angry." John asked with a calm expression.
Lucas nodded in understanding, he didn’t have a single inkling what was John going to talk about.
"How about we… try getting the Kobolds as an ally?"
SILENCE
Lucas looked at John with a tilted face, not wanting any of that negative energy to come out anytime soon.
"… Can you elaborate?"
"Yes." John said and continued after a halt, "Look, remember when we fought that Kobold in the past? It was talking to us all the time yet we didn’t understand. I had a bad taste since then about how I didn’t understand what it was saying but, it was saying something, definitely."
"What are you getting at?"
"Wait and listen, now that time is gone, we now can talk with such creatures… There has to be some reason behind it, right?"
Lucas first didn’t understand, but then he got a little inkling.
"You want us to talk with the Kobolds before the fight?"
"… It is worth a try. Before you say something, give the idea some time, I will get back to you in time."
"Wait!"
"Gotta go." John went briskly up the stairs leaving Lucas alone in the workshop.
Lucas looked a him leaving and didn’t know what to say. John was always right, there had been very less instances where he was wrong.
"But this idea is fucking wrong. Me? Talk with those trash that see me as if I am some rabbit that they can slaughter anytime. No way."
An adamant smile formed on his face as Lucas stretched his body.
"I will slaughter them all… and no one can stop me. Yes, it is for the betterment of the shelter, for the people here who can get in trouble."

Lucas did not know that he was speaking out loud as darkness swirled inside his eyes as the mark became hot again.
Yet he had mistaken one thing, he was not alone in the basement. Behind the curtains of one of the workshops, there was a man who was trying to work yet he had to stop after listening to his father’s and Lucas’s conversation.
Barney had not recovered from the duo’s conversation and Lucas had started speaking to himself, to not get caught, he did not look toward the voice, he knew this was how Lucas got Bill too.
Yet that fear he was exuding without knowing got sniffed out by Lucas real quick.
He looked in the direction of Barney’s workshop and then without reacting, went inside his office to not hinder the progress he was making in the territories’s guidelines.
Barney did not dare make a move now, in his mind, he had done a successful job in hiding himself.
While the people above were completing their duties while smiling and laughing, making conversation, the higher-ups of the territory were having a hard time with the knowledge that the Kobolds had made a territory of their own and that too just beside theirs.
With things going like this, 2 days passed…

Today was yet another peaceful day yet something abnormal happened right at the start of the next day.
[It is seen that the Avaloneon creature’s spawn rate is very slow]
[To fix the issue addressed by the gods, the spawn rate of the Avaloneon creatures has increased to some rate.]
[The rate is hidden as your authority level is not sufficient.]
[Good luck!]
Lucas read each and every word with a frown, there had been a while since he got a message like this.
Everyone was awake, now that they all were high level, sleep had become something they had started to neglect, not like it would harm them, their bodies now worked with an efficiency that was not possible on Earth.
Lucas opened the list of creatures in front of him just in case yet he froze with shock.
"What the heck?!"
"I know! The creature spawn rate increased!"
"Yeah that, but suddenly, the number of creatures in the territory doubled, n-no, tripled!"
"Are you sure, Lucas?" John asked with seriousness.
"Yes, and it is not stopping, one or two names keep adding every few seconds, god damn, the list has become too much!"
It was after a long time that Lucas had panicked so much, he liked fighting yet these were pests that were plaguing his land, they needed to get taken care of.
"Sighh…" Lucas shook his head and looked at everyone’s concerned and panicked faces while looking at the defense of the shelter.
"Calm down everyone!" Lucas shouted getting everyone’s attention. When he thought it would be right, he continued, "It’s just some more weak monsters! Nothing to worry about, you have seen a few of us take care of so many Kobolds in such a short time right?"
He stopped and looked at their faces, which were now thoughtful instead of panicked.
"That is true…" Haley muttered with concern.
"Yes, that’s right. You don’t have to worry about anything, but from now on, only go out of the shelter if there is an absolute need. And go out with permission from now on, I don’t want anyone getting hurt when there is no sense in doing so."
Many looked at him, emotions obvious. While they didn’t like going outside and some even did not venture out for a week now but telling them not to do so was hitting their pride.
Yet, they still nodded and ’Hm’ in agreement as being safe was much better than dying out of dumbness.
Lucas nodded in agreement and his eyes fell on Ella who had a smile bloomed up on her face.
’Ugh, I feel like something wrong is going to happen…’
