Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 61: Back to the Grind
It took some time, but eventually, Aoni was able to collect himself enough that he found it possible to tear his eyes away from the newly evolved Blood Red Flume, allowing himself to observe his current points.

’Well, beggars can’t be choosers; I guess I can look at it as another universal first record, adding it to my seemingly growing list.’
Comparing his achievement of evolving his flume with the fact that he was more than likely the only person on either Genovia or Terra to be able to interact with his Traveler’s Display, Aoni shrugged his shoulders and went ahead with his idea of increasing his Flume Summon Stack.
Yet, unlike when he did multiple upgrades to the Flume’s Grade, this time the Lad was more cautious because he understood how expensive it was to increase his Stack…yet at that moment, Aoni also remembered a one-off notification that popped up last time he tried to increase his summon count.
’That’s right, I can also increase my Charges, not just the maximum Available ones…, but even boosting the Stack costs me 20 points and only yields 5 points in return.’
’Luckily, I wasn’t stupid enough to push through and do all five at once; then again, since I don’t have 100 points, it probably would have failed…either way, Increase the Maximum Number of Available Summons by one.’

With a silent nod, Aoni set about boosting his Flumes Summon stack until…

’My hard work…all gone….17.8 points, that’s all I have left…. And what do I have to show for it…’ Glaring at his Summon’s Display and feeling buyer’s remorse taking hold, Aoni observed the changes in his display before closing it and walking to the bed to sit down.

’Sigh, at least I don’t have to worry about filling the charges for now…fuck, I don’t even want to consider how bad it’s going to be when it comes time to add more summon charges…I wouldn’t be surprised if it were 50 to 100 per summon.’ Shaking his head, Aoni stayed on the bed for several minutes until he was able to control his thoughts enough to divert them toward his tasks for the day.
Even though the Lad was sitting there staring off into nothing, that didn’t mean Aoni was inert; no, he was in the process of forming a mental checklist of everything that needed to be completed; the first was actually a deviation from what he did yesterday.
Because the number of pelts and hides he had wasn’t enough to account for mistakes when crafting, he had made up his mind to send Glacia out to hunt.
Bearing that thought in mind and waving her over to join him on the bed, Aoni scooped up the obedient ball of fluff and began petting her in a calming manner.
"Glacia, I have some chores for you to do."
"oOo?" although her eyes were closed thanks to enjoying the bonding time, Glacia still tilted her head up toward her Lord so as to listen intently to his words.
"I need you to go out and do some more hunting, but this time, I want you on the lookout for things bigger than what you brought back last time."
"Gaooo…" opening her eyes slightly and shooting Aoni a confused look, she only half understood what he was requesting, prompting the Lad to explain.
"When you last went out, you brought back a bunch of small game; this time, I want you on the lookout for anything the size of those guys that dig in the ground or bigger."
"Chufff," wrinkling her nose up, Glacia rubbed her face on her Lord’s leg as if asking if she was thinking about the right creatures.
"Exactly, those guys, or bigger, but don’t forget the rules from last time; I don’t want you going beyond the barrier, and if you sense danger, run home as quick as possible." Pausing for a moment, Aoni added one last bit of information.
"If you do a good job, I will make you a fresh meal for dinner, no MRE, but REAL food instead, understand?"
"OoOOoo GAOOoOoOO!" Jumping up, Glacia placed her paws against Aoni’s chest and licked his face several times before entering Furry Missile mode and darting out of the cave without even sparing a second to look back at her Lord, in turn, leaving the Lad stunned.
"PPpffft, only ever thinking about food, it really is like having a fat kid as a sibling, but instead of promising sweets or cake, it’s anything which could be considered edible." Shaking his head and standing up, Aoni wiped his face clean of his summons saliva and set about grinding up more salt.
There was no telling how long Glacia would be gone or even how many bodies she’d be bringing back, so the Lad figured it would be best to prepare for another haul similar to the last one. This meant two things needed to be made: more drawers and more powdered salt.
Having already mastered the process, when it came to pulverizing the mineral into fine dust, and knowing it wouldn’t take much time, Aoni took an inventory of how much wood he had remaining.
And what he saw left quite a bit to be desired.
Between the numerous basins he made for dealing with corpses, the drying racks for his clothing, multiple drawers, and, of course, the stretching racks, there wasn’t a whole lot left in his inventory, which meant that the moment Glacia returned, he would have to send her out for more wood.
Mind you; this doesn’t account for the Stack of branches and junk logs in the corner of the cave because all those could only be used as firewood.
