Lewd System: Every Scream and Moan is EXP-Chapter 232 : Its Beginning
Jax’s eyes stayed fixed on the boy’s forearm.
The tight-fitting enchanted gear, the same fabric that was tough enough to resist even a clean sword cut, had a hole burned straight through it.
The green demonic energy had eaten through the material as if it were paper.
The boy, Leo, was frustrated beyond reason. His pride refused to process the fact that two girls had just isolated and launched him backward.
So he did what every muscle-brained idiot does when logic fails.
He charged again.
His body began wrapping itself in thicker layers of mana. Or aura. Or whatever these muscular morons liked to call it.
Each step cracked the ground beneath him as raw power surged through his frame.
Seris responded immediately. Her palms struck the earth. A massive wooden hand erupted from the ground, alive and bending its fingers inward to crush the charging boy in its grip.
One punch.
That was all it took. Leo’s fist connected with the middle finger. It separated clean and flew backward like a broken branch in a storm.
Then he launched himself into the air. Mana concentrated in his right palm. Descending toward Seris with the full intention of ending this in a single blow.
But a wall of green erupted between them. Lilith’s demonic energy radiated outward, corroding the air itself.
Leo didn’t stop. He penetrated straight through the green barrier. The burning sensation licked across his skin, but his mana coating minimized the damage enough to push through.
As he cleared the wall and looked ahead, his eyes widened.
A massive woody fist was already traveling toward him. Enormous. A single knuckle was the size of his entire body.
He was mid-air. Carried by his own momentum. No ground beneath his feet to pivot. No time to wind up his technique. His fists were useless without the time to launch them.
So he crossed both arms in front of his face and braced for impact.
The fist collided.
The sound was sickening. His body folded around the wooden knuckle, and the momentum did the rest.
He flew backward through Lilith’s green wall, then through the already crumbling wooden barrier behind it, smashing through both before skidding across the dirt.
He landed right beside his teammate’s boot.
The other boy looked down at him and laughed. "You sure deserved that."
Leo hissed through bloodied teeth. His chest was bleeding. His ribs felt ruined. His entire frame looked like it had been through a collapsing building.
But the anger inside him forced his body to rise. Slowly. Painfully.
A voice echoed inside his head. From the monitoring division.
[Student Leo, we would recommend you surrender and receive immediate treatment. Your vitals analysis does not look favorable.]
Leo wiped the blood from his mouth. "There’s no need for that. I didn’t come here to surrender and make myself look weak."
[Understood. Student Leo wishes to continue.]
The other martial artist shook his head with an amused grin. "Look weak? Dude, you just got nuked by two girls. What more shame could you possibly bring?"
Leo hissed again and was about to launch another assault when Amael’s voice cut through.
"Leo!" His instructor’s tone was sharp. Final. "Don’t be a fool. Utilize your teammate. You can’t just show off and win alone. We can’t afford you getting eliminated here. The real battle is yet to come. Act wisely."
The boy beside Leo smirked. "See? Even Instructor Amael knows you can’t win against those weak little girls."
Leo clenched his fist so hard the knuckles turned white. But he held.
Across the field, the dark mage woman glanced at her two students with disinterest. "Just do as you want while I’m gone."
She turned and walked away from the battlefield entirely.
Paladin Cleenah looked at Celestine and Ava. "Assist them."
Celestine tilted her head. "There’s no need."
Ava nodded in agreement. "They’ll handle this."
Cleenah didn’t scold them for refusing her command. She simply turned her gaze back to the fight.
One of the dark mage students pulled a dark flaming sword out of thin air. The blade crackled with cursed energy.
The other released the dark energy accumulated in his cursed ring, channeling it into a concentrated beam aimed directly at Seris.
Before Seris could raise her magic, Lilith stepped in. She fired her own beam to intercept.
Green demonic light collided with absolute black light. Head to head. The air between them screamed under the pressure.
For a few seconds, they held equal.
Then the black light began devouring Lilith’s attack. Inch by inch. Consuming the green energy and pushing forward.
Lilith’s arms trembled. She was struggling. Losing ground.
"Watch out, Seris! On your right!" Jax’s voice cut across the chaos.
Both Leo and the dark mage boy with the cursed sword were charging at Seris from her blind side.
In panic, Seris created walls. Dozens of them. One after another erupting from the ground in rapid succession. A corridor of wooden barriers between her and the incoming assault.
But they fell like dominos.
Leo punched through one. The dark mage cut through the next. Another fist. Another slash. Wall after wall collapsing as the two carved their way through like paper.
The last wall fell. Seris stood exposed.
Stubborn Leo had launched himself into the air again. Gathering every remaining ounce of force into his palm. This time was different. Seris had no time to construct anything complex.
In desperation, she poured her magic outward. Two enormous wooden hands erupted from the earth and wrapped around her from the outside.
Fingers interlocking. Encasing her completely. Like a mother shielding her child from the world.
Leo’s palm connected.
The sound was tremendous. A shockwave of dispersing mana erupted from the point of impact. The solid wooden hands that had taken everything Seris had to create became dust in a single second.
The impact didn’t just shatter wood.
It shattered hope.
Seris flew backward. Her body rolled across the ground, dirt coating her runic gear. She came to a stop face down. Motionless.
On the other side, the dark mage had done the same to Lilith. His cursed magic detonated near her position.
She barely jumped to the side, but the explosion caught her regardless. The force threw her sideways and she hit the ground hard.
Both of Jax’s teammates lay on the earth. Broken. Beaten. With no visible hope of winning against what stood before them.
They had realized who they were up against.
But then both girls’ expressions shifted.
Seris rose. Her hands found her knees. She pushed herself up with arms that shook but refused to quit. Her eyes burned with a will that the beating had failed to extinguish.
Lilith did the same. Her mind raced as she forced her body upward.
’I won’t lose here. I won’t fail here.’
’If I fail, Professor will have to leave the academy. He trusted us. He trusted me.’
An image appeared before her eyes. Jax standing in front of her at the ball. Shielding her. Protecting her when no one else would.
Then another. His hand on her head just hours ago. That gentle smile.
And then his words struck like thunder.
’I want a victory toward yourself. Fight like you don’t have to regret for what happened.’
Her fist clenched.
She murmured through bloodied lips. "I won’t regret anything anymore. I will do whatever I want without fearing the repercussions."
Then her body began to change.
Mana wrapped around her frame. Green at first, then shifting. Deepening. Transforming into a rich, violent purple that radiated raw horror.
A single horn grew from her head. The same as before.
Her eyes blazed. One red. One yellow. Shining with a light that didn’t belong to anything human.
Seeing that, Jax smiled.
Then he turned and walked away. Leaving his students alone on the battlefield.
He wasn’t the only one smiling.
Paladin Cleenah’s lips curved upward with satisfaction.
"Good work, everyone. Now it’s beginning." Her voice carried authority and anticipation in equal measure. "Let’s do this."
All four students charged at Lilith. Leaving Seris behind as if she didn’t matter anymore.
A black beam came from the dark mage. Aimed straight at her chest.
Lilith responded with the same attack as before. But this time it wasn’t the weak green demonic energy.
It was pure purple. Dense. Hungry. Speaking of something that should not exist in a student’s body.
The result was the complete opposite. Her purple beam consumed the black light. Devoured it. Pushed forward and swallowed the dark mage’s attack whole.
At that moment, Leo charged at her flank. Seeing her occupied with the beam, he saw his opening.
His fist flew. She met it with her own.
The impact cut the air in half. A visible shockwave split outward from the collision point.
Leo rolled across the ground again. Lilith stumbled slightly but held her footing, her beam still pushing against the dark mage without interruption.
The other dark mage charged with his cursed sword. Lilith extended her free hand and released a stream of demonic energy that forced him to raise his blade just to protect himself.
He skidded backward, boots carving trenches in the dirt.
Then Celestine murmured a single word. "Debuff."
Lilith felt it instantly. Her body weakened. Her muscles lost their tension. The strength that had been surging through her dimmed as if someone had turned down a dial inside her.
Then Ava raised her hand. Holy magic gathered and launched directly at her.
Lilith panicked. She didn’t know what to do. The debuff had stolen her strength. The holy magic was closing the distance faster than she could think.
Her defeat was approaching.
But just before it reached her, she was shoved aside.
Hard.
Lilith hit the ground and looked up.
Seris stood where she had been. In her place. Arms raised. A weak wooden wall constructed in the fraction of a second she’d had.
Both attacks hit her simultaneously. Holy magic from one side. Dark magic from the other.
The wall disintegrated. Seris’s body absorbed everything that remained.
She collapsed.
Lilith watched her fall. Watched the teleportation magic begin to glow around Seris’s broken form, ready to pull her back to the mainland.
’She sacrificed herself. For me.’
’For me. A coward who held back just because I was scared. Scared to even fight my inner demons...’
Then her vision blurred.
In front of her eyes, she felt something warm and wet trailing down her face.
Blood. Dripping.
