Raven was lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling, trying to ignore everything that had happened. But suddenly...
She quickly turned to see Blade slowly opening her window and sneaking inside!
She looked at him in confusion, raising an eyebrow as she said,
"Blade... what are you doing?!"
But he didn't answer. Instead, he quickly shut the window! And at that very moment...
Beast Boy, who had transformed into a pigeon, crashed into the glass and tumbled to the ground outside. Blade glanced at him briefly before tightly closing the curtains.
Then, moving swiftly, Blade pulled out some small tools and started sealing off any gaps in the door, making sure Robin or Cyborg wouldn't be able to hear what was happening inside the room.
Raven watched his actions, growing more confused by the second.
"Wait... why are you locking everything? Blade, what are you trying to do?!"
Still, Blade didn't answer. Instead, he pulled a USB drive from his pocket and plugged it into the computer near Raven's head.
At that very moment, Cyborg's voice echoed through the communicator, shouting in shock from the control room:
"Whaaaaat?! Someone's hacking into my system right now!!"
Blade smirked mischievously as he watched the screen, then turned to Raven and said calmly,
"Alright... now we can talk without any surveillance."
Raven, who was still sitting on her bed with her arms crossed, looked at Blade with eyes filled with anger, but also a hint of frustration.
Blade, now standing in front of her after hacking Cyborg's system and sealing off all exits, gave her a puzzled expression before speaking seriously:
"What's going on? Why are you suddenly mad at me? I was just making my usual jokes, which, naturally, only I find funny!"
Raven raised an eyebrow and responded coolly, sighing:
"Blade, this isn't just about a joke. You don't think before you speak, do you?"
Blade tilted his head slightly in confusion and said:
"Uhhh... no. Thinking before speaking? Is that important?"
Raven pressed her palm against her forehead, took a deep breath, then looked at him sharply.
"You don't get it! You make things harder... you make me feel like—"
She suddenly stopped, as if she didn't want to finish her sentence.
Blade noticed her hesitation for a moment, then smirked slyly and said playfully:
"Make you feel like what? Go on, finish your sentence. I promise I won't laugh... unless it's actually funny!"
Raven exhaled in frustration, then turned away from him, muttering to herself:
"You're hopeless..."
Blade sat on her desk, leaning back on his hands, then raised an eyebrow mischievously as he said,
"You know... anger doesn't suit you, but it does make you kind of cute. Just don't tell Robin I said that."
Raven's face turned slightly red, but she quickly hid it and looked away, trying to ignore him.
Blade smiled in satisfaction, feeling that things were finally calming down.
He then sat on the edge of the bed, casting a sideways glance at Raven, who still had her back turned to him, avoiding eye contact. He let out a deep sigh before speaking in an unusually quiet tone:
"Raven, listen... I don't understand a lot when it comes to women. I grew up alone, learned everything on my own, always relied on myself."
He paused for a moment, as if carefully choosing his words, then continued with a more serious voice:
"I've never spoken to a girl honestly like I'm doing with you right now. I never had the time for that... I was always busy annoying heroes and villains in my world, turning everything into a joke, living in chaos and sarcasm. That's why..."
He stopped again, then looked down, struggling to admit what was hard for him to say:
"That's why I'm... completely inexperienced in these things."
Raven remained silent for a few moments before finally turning slightly toward him, her violet eyes shining with an expression Blade couldn't immediately decipher. She wasn't angry... maybe she was surprised, or even... intrigued.
"So... are you trying to tell me that after all these years of sarcasm and arrogance... you actually know nothing about relationships?"
Blade let out a light chuckle and scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
"Well... yeah, that's a very accurate and very embarrassing summary of what I just said."
Raven gave him a calm look, then said in a low voice:
"That doesn't excuse everything, Blade... but at least, now you're being honest."
Blade raised an eyebrow slightly... Was that a sign that she had forgiven him a little? Or was he just imagining it?
Silence filled the room for a few moments.
Blade remained seated on the edge of the bed, trying to read Raven's expression—an impossible task, as always. The silence between them wasn't uncomfortable, but it was heavy... as if both were waiting for the other to say something important.
"Honestly, I didn't mean to annoy you... okay, maybe I did a little, but not like this."
Raven shot him a sideways glance, then finally turned fully toward him, crossing her arms silently. She didn't look completely mad anymore, but Blade knew that didn't mean he was out of danger yet.
"You know, Blade? The problem isn't your jokes... it's that you don't take anything seriously."
Blade opened his mouth to respond but stopped himself. This time, she had a point. He stared at the ceiling for a moment, then exhaled quietly before looking back at her.
"I don't want to be like that with you, Raven."
Simple words, yet they made Raven's expression change for a moment, as if she hadn't expected them.
"And what exactly does that mean?"
Blade gave a half-smile, glancing away as if finding it difficult to admit:
"It means... that I care about you more than I want to admit, and more than I even understand."
Raven didn't respond immediately, but this time, she didn't look away from him either. Blade, who was never one to run from a fight, now found himself in a situation far tougher than any battle he had ever faced.
Seconds passed before Raven spoke in a quieter tone:
"Alright... prove it."
Blade blinked twice, then smirked slightly, as if accepting the challenge.
"It seems you don't know what you just asked for, Raven."
She raised an eyebrow challengingly:
"We'll see."
And just like that, there was no more joking this time... but rather, an unspoken promise that this wouldn't be the last conversation between them.
Blade kept staring at Raven, as if trying to decipher her. He wasn't used to serious moments like this, yet they made his heart beat in an unfamiliar rhythm. As for Raven, she looked at him steadily, waiting for his response to her challenge... "Prove it."
Blade smirked and said in a teasing tone:
"Alright, do you want proof in a romantic way? Or dramatic? Or maybe an action scene with an explosion in the background? Because I'm great at all three."
Raven shot him a blank stare, then sighed:
"And I say you don't take anything seriously."
Blade chuckled slightly but then leaned back against the wall beside the bed, as if trying to gather his thoughts. He could have thrown another joke, but he didn't. Instead, he spoke with rare seriousness:
"Look, Raven... my whole life, I've acted like I'm in an endless comedy show because I never wanted to deal with things seriously. It's easier when everything is just a joke, just a game. But with you? I don't want to be just a bad joke."
Raven lifted her eyes to him, as if she hadn't expected such an admission from him. Another moment of silence, but this time, it wasn't heavy... it carried a different kind of anticipation.
"So, what are you going to do?"
Blade stood up, and before she could stop herself, Raven felt something in his answer—not just in his words, but in the look in his eyes, the way he moved, as if he had finally decided he wouldn't back down.

"I'll prove to you that I can be someone you can rely on... but don't expect me to stop annoying you—that's impossible."
Raven let out a small sigh, but she couldn't hide the tiny smile that crept onto her lips.
"We'll see, Blade... we'll see."
Blade, smiling confidently, turned towards the window he had snuck in from earlier. But he suddenly stopped, looked at Raven, and gestured toward the door.
"Ah, by the way... Beast Boy is still unconscious outside, and Cyborg is really mad that I hacked his system. So, if you don't mind, I'm going to run now before Robin decides to throw his staff at my face."
Before she could respond, he jumped out of the window, leaving Raven chuckling softly for the first time in a long while.
Outside, as Blade walked down the corridor with a smile, he muttered to himself:
"Alright... maybe this isn't just a comedy show anymore."
