"Should we go have a look?" Lu Ke put down the potato and glanced at Xu Yi.

"No rush, it doesn’t sound like they’re being attacked. Maybe just a herd of sheep passing through." Xu Yi took a sip of tomato soup.

This soup, without a bit of egg flower, lacks soul.

Lu Ke nodded, listened intently, and it really didn’t sound like an animal attack.

Then, the two of them lit the torches and headed into the woods.

With the torchlight, they saw a herd of goats.

Maybe they’d never seen torches before, so these goats were a bit curious and didn’t run away immediately.

Some Pottery cracked, but fortunately, the hotpot they wanted most fired successfully, ready for goat meat stew tomorrow.

Shepherd’s purse and potatoes make great hotpot ingredients.

Now with pepper, they’ll sun it tomorrow, then it can be added to the hotpot.

Thinking of it, Xu Yi was tempted to draw his dagger and slaughter the little goat.

Feeling a bit bored, Xu Yi decided to hit the punching bag for a bit.

Lu Ke organized the Pottery and started making tomato sauce.

It’s not too difficult, so Lu Ke was willing to try. Previously, Lu Ke successfully made a small jar of strawberry jam.

First, boil water to scald the ripened tomatoes for a few minutes, then peel them.

Next, dice them into small pieces.

Add some oil to the steel pot, then stir-fry.

Very simple, so Lu Ke quickly made a jar.

Xu Yi finished hitting the punching bag, came in to taste it.

"Hmm, tastes great, even better than store-bought tomato sauce, maybe it’s the honey." Xu Yi said, taking some more bites.

"Should be, hope it lasts without spoiling." Lu Ke remarked, glancing at the potatoes on the table, then said, "Xu Yi, how about we fry some fries?"

"Sure, then we can use the tomato sauce. We’ve got plenty of potatoes, no worries." Xu Yi replied happily, the idea of having fries in the wilderness amazed him.

Why hadn’t he thought of it before?

"Wow, you guys are going overboard, even making fries?"

"Tomato sauce and fries are the perfect match, what’s the issue with making them?"

"Too amazing, making junk food, you folks sure know how to live!"

"If other teams see, will they beat up Xu Yi for eating fries?"

"It was Loli Ke’s suggestion, why should Xu Yi get beaten up?"

Lu Ke and Xu Yi really impressed the live-stream audience.

"Lu Ke, after slicing the potatoes into sticks and slices, soak them to collect some starch. This way, we can make potato noodles, too. Eating potatoes every day gets tiring." Xu Yi thought about another way to enjoy potatoes.

"Potato noodles? You know how to make them?" Lu Ke looked at Xu Yi in surprise. She liked potato noodles but thought Xu Yi wouldn’t know how to make them, so she hadn’t mentioned it.

Besides, since potatoes are their staple, Lu Ke hadn’t dared to think of making snacks out of them.

Otherwise, why wouldn’t she want chips and fries?

"Yes, just steam them in a steamer, shred them, and dry them. As a kid, I watched my grandma make potato and sweet potato noodles; they tasted amazing." Xu Yi joyfully said, and then he went upstairs with a basket.

Making potato noodles isn’t easy. Despite these potatoes having high starch content, turning them into mashed potatoes would require tools they didn’t have.

So, they could only soak the sliced potatoes in water to get some starch out.

Little by little, there’s still hope.

In the future, they’ll just slice the potatoes before boiling.

"Are you making so much at once?" Lu Ke watched as Xu Yi brought down over ten pounds of potatoes, so she asked.

"Yeah, since we’re doing it, might as well make more. Won’t have time to fry the chips tonight, but we can slice and soak them to gather more starch." Xu Yi explained his idea, then went to wash the potatoes.

The two of them got busy and quickly sliced some potato sticks.

This was their first time making snacks, so they were quite attentive.
