"Hello there, Kid" greeted the guard leader to John who finished with his thoughts.

The guard looks quite strong with big muscles that look like they have a lot of explosive power. He also has dark tan skin that made it look much more intimidating for others to look at.

John looks at the guard leader and scratches the back of his head and bows his head a little.

"Uhm.. Yes, hello to you Mister Guard" said John politely.

The guard leader stared at John for a few seconds. Then he nodded to himself as if he was satisfied with something.

"Kid, you’re great. You took down a bandit who has a speed type blessing that the guards are normally unable to catch up on." He said, "If in the future, you need a job. You can just call for me and I will help you."

John doesn’t know why the guard is talking this way, but from the looks of it, the guard is just happy or satisfied that he was able to take down a bandit.

"Ah, yes. Thank you"

The guard nodded once again and then turned back to the other guards. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"It looks like some bandits entered our town. Everyone, search every place here in Pirey and purge those bandits!" He said in a loud voice.

""Hah!!""

After responding, all the guard scattered in all directions. Only the guard leader is left.

He turned his head and looked at John, he said, "Also, my name is Gilbert. If you need any help, just call for me."

Then he faced forward and started walking coolly. He has a bit of a dignified aura when he walks like that.

But then.

*Bang*

The guard leader or Gilbert is walking with dignity but his right foot stumbled on something and he fell down.

Gilbert sat up, rubbing his head with great intensity.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch. Damn it. It hurts!" He whined.

Then he looked up and saw the people there looking at him. His face reddened a bit but it was not obvious because of his dark skin.

He coughs out loudly as he stands up and fixes his posture. He patted his body that looks quite useless as he is wearing metal armor.

As if he also notice that it was stupid he stop it. He put on a dignified face again and walked slowly, but then sped up after a few seconds because of the embarrassment earlier. And he is gone from the eyes of the people.

After he was gone, the people restarted their chatter. Some topics are about John while the others are about the guard Gilbert.

"That kid is super fast isn’t he!" Said random auntie 1

"Yes, he is. But I’m sure my son will be much more powerful than that when he gets his blessing." Said random auntie 2

"Sigh, lucky you. You still have a chance. My son already got his and it doesn’t look that good." Complain auntie 1

Hearing that, auntie 2 got a smug look on her face as if she won something.

On another side, the topic is Gilbert and his fall.

"Hahaha, that guard is kinda cute, isn’t he." Said an old auntie.

"Huff, what cute." Snort an old man at the side with a face that’s full of disagreement to the words of the auntie.

"What? You don’t agree with me!?" Asked the old auntie who’s aura suddenly changed from gentle to fierce.

The old man flinched a bit then he composed himself, "cough, Yes, I don’t. Just why would you call that cute!?" He replied.

The old auntie raised her hands that were holding a broom stick. "You dare disagree with me!?"

"Uh, ho-honey, don’t do this" the old man slowly retreated with small steps. Then burst and started running.

The old auntie ran after the old man, "Get back here!"

Well, enough with that nonsense. And back to the story.

John entered inside the house and saw Sophia waiting and looking worried.

He knew what she was thinking and explained what happened outside.

"Oh. Is there a reason for him suddenly barging here?" Asked Sophia.

"I don’t know, Mom. We should ask the guards later if they know something." Replied John.

After chatting more for a bit, John headed back into his room.

He sat on his bed and called out his system interface.

He looks at his attributes before looking at his mana.

After looking at the amount that he has. He started confirming the mana consumption of the multiplying attribute.

He keeps it on for a minute before he turns it off. He looked at the mana remaining and saw that it decreased by another 55. That just means that multiplying his attribute by two times will consume 55 mana per minute.

"That confirms it then," mutters John.

"Now I need to see how much time three will consume. But I will do that next time." He said to himself.

"For now..." he dropped his body on the bed and closed his eyes, "I want to laze."

After a few minutes, a rhythmic breathing echoed inside John’s room. He fell asleep.

John dreamed of his previous life. In that life he fell in love with a woman. He gave his all in that love and the woman loved him back. They become happy. But because of John’s experience with other people, where they almost always treat him as nothing, John is always suspicious and is easy to be jealous.

Just looking at the woman talking to others he starts to feel that he will be left by the woman for others.

Because of John becoming jealous about almost all the simple things, he became toxic. And was left alone.

Only then did he understand. He should have trusted her. He cried and cried but no matter how many times he cried he can’t bring back the time at that moment....

Then John woke up. It is already dark outside. He felt something wet on his face and touched it with his hands. It’s tears falling from his eyes.

After wiping away the tears, John thinks back on his dream. He felt it inside his heart. Although it’s been a long time. He still loves that girl.

He then thought, ’If I became a God just like what the God that gave this system to me said, maybe, just maybe. I can turn back to that time and change my regrets!’

John knows that if he becomes powerful, those regrets are just nothing. But he just can’t help but want to go back and change it... especially for that girl.

The girl is a real beauty. She have a childish face that is so cute, her eyes are like sparkling star, a little cheeks the is puff a little, and a cute mouth. Her skin is so white and looks so smooth that it’s hard to resist not to touch them. Her height is on the little side.

Jeremiah on the side gasp.

"Justin, look at her, she’s a real beauty!" Jeremiah exclaimed.

And Justin the one he is talking to is staring at the girl in a daze. He is stunned by her beauty although there is still childishness in her face you can’t deny that she will grow into someone with stunning beauty.

The adviser of the class spoke to the girl.

"Hello I am the adviser of this class. What is your reason for being late?" The adviser ask.

"I’m sorry I’m late, the reason is..." her voice slowly turn lower and lower until no one can hear her anymore.

"Is..?" the adviser ask her to continue.

The girl face turn red and she shyly answer.

"I woke up late" she answered with low voice.

The adviser did not push her to continue and invites her inside and introduce herself.

"Ok, enter inside and introduce yourself"

With that the girl smile. She enter and stand in the front and started introducing herself.

"Hello everyone my name is Christalene, Christalene Lilith Bernal"

As he is going to get the blessing today, John, can’t help but be excited. Imagine you who doesn’t have power, or even money in your previous life achieving something incredible.

He can’t help but start imagining himself standing atop a mountain with a sword in hand being worship by others.

Without further ado, he calls his mom to go to church.

"Mom, let’s go to the church now. I want to have power!"

"Hahaha, Look how excited you are, you still have not eaten breakfast and you already wanna go to church, go and clean yourself first. Don’t forget to make yourself look presentable, okay."

He lowered his head and scratch his head shyly and answered.

"Yes mom, don’t worry"
